Im buying alot of Anamorphic and Gimble and nd filter gear to support my Samsung Galaxy In order to get more into this new way of film making.. Good stuff..
For video, i switched to two iPhones mounted on two DJI Mimo 3. Best set up for 90% of videos. No focus hunting, great colors, and most importantly - always in focus! For my more artistic / cinematic videos, I use my FF DSLR. Very happy with the set up !
Great video! Thank you, I'm thinking about buying one again. My concern is when I last had one o charged it for probably 1 hour too long and it overloaded and stopped working. There is no feature to stop the charge etc and wondered if anyone else had this issue?
Love it. When you record with the osmo 3 do the videos go straight to the phone's camera roll or does it save to the dji app. Downloading from the dji app seems like it just takes up more space.
I just started video bought a mobile 3 and love it your videos are very helpful Thank you for making the tutorials. I also use a Cannon M 50 but I find that the iPhone with the mobile 3 is as effective and a lot faster and much easier

Could you recommand on what phone lense is the best to go with osmo3 to achieve the cinematic video feel? Thanks a lot! I am using Huawei p10 and I just got the gimbal, thinking about adding on a lense.
For iPhone users I'd recommend the Sandmarc Lenses, since I think they have a more natural color rendering. Everybody else can't wrong with the Moment Lenses. If you really want to go cinematic try an anamorphic lens.

No worries buddy. Yes you can use the Osmo Mobile 3 without the Mimo App. You will not have access to it's Active Track capabilities, but aside from that you can fully utilise it. In most cases I'm not even using the Mimo App myself.

It's kinda hard to say with what has been going on lately. Lot's of product launches have been postponed. The Osmo Mobile 3 is a solid device so if you get it at a bargain you can't go wrong 😉
Nice video dude Thanks ! I want to do cinematic video with osmo mobile 3 and the next iPhone 12 so what did you recommend me for the app to use like filmic pro ? For editing adob première ? Why wait for the iPhone 12? Just start with whatever Phone you have right now and upgrade to the next gen iPhone when it's available. If you want to go low budget for the beginning you could start with Davinci Resolve and collect your first experiences right away. Framerate, Resolution, Color Grading etc fully depend on the content you want to create. My biggest advice for you is to just start and don't try to accomplish everything right from the start. Hone your skills over time. Skill comes with experience and there's nothing like the right or wrong way. There's only the best way for YOU! 😉
Hey! Can the phone have a case, or does it have to be “naked” to fit on the clamp?? I’m about to purchase this DJI Osmo Mobile 3, but read some comments somewhere about it not fitting and I’m worried now. I have the iPhone 8 with a Tech21 case, it’s not too thick really, but now I’m wondering 😫. Thanks 🙏🏼
Thanks buddy. Actually I think in general it'll be hard not capture parts of any gimbal with the Ultra Wide Lens. You only can try to shift the phone further left and put some weights on the other side.

Hallo mate, may I know ur extra lens on iphone? Then is it problem with weight or width if I use shockproof case iphone 11 on dji osmo mobile 3? Anyway Ur video was great
Do you mean the lens I was using? That would be one of these Lenses ua-cam.com/video/cKYmVf5_8UU/v-deo.html . You can use the Osmo Mobile 3 with or without a case and accessories you just need to make sure it's properly balanced. Enjoy 😉
I have iPhone 7plus and I’m using Moment walnut case to attached the lens. I have DJI Osmo Mobile 3, and honestly I couldn’t balance the phone with wide lens (for example). I’ve literally moved the phone to the lens and still it’s not balanced. Then I saw you in this video attaching lens and ND filter 🤨 How did you do it? Any advice you can help me with?
That’s one of my main concerns with the moment cases. They are just too heavy. Sometimes it can help to shift the center position of the phone (up/down on the Osmo). With bigger Phone and Case combinations this won’t be possible 😑. A last resort would be to stick counterweights onto the case.
Kinda depends on your preferences. A while ago I switched to the Mics from Deity cause I think they sound more natural than the ones from RODE (here's an example ua-cam.com/video/p0NSo-5vkas/v-deo.html). On the other hand the Rode Wireless Go would keep you setup super lightweight.
That's super easy. I featured that in the video. You just pull the trigger once and that will engage smart tracking. Just stand in front of the camera and it'll prioritize your face
Hi! Great video and congrats for your activity! I still have one question, cause i am a bit confused. I have for the moment an iPhone 8 Plus, planning to buy 11 Pro Max and because the Max versions are heavier, i do not exactly know what gimbal to choose... i am between DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and Moza Mini Mx! What would u choose if u also use lenses and stuffs on these smartphones? Thanks :D
Hey Alex, with the bigger Phone I wouldn't recommend you to go for the Moza Mini MX cause it'll have a significantly smaller working angle. The Osmo Mobile 3 has no problems with bigger phones and lenses as long as you balance them right.
Atti Bear thanks a lot! Based on your advice and some other comments from all around the internet, I have already ordered the Osmo. Cannot wait to receive it and start filming everything. When my idea will grow, I’ll let u know and I’ll thank you again! 🙏🏻😁
@Atti Bear #AttiBear Great video, you mentioned the lenses and the heavy one at the beginning of the video, perhaps you notice a screw hole on the gimbal arm close to where you attach the smartphone, that is for the counterbalance screws in case you use heavy lenses with the gimbal. I have also a question: Can I use all the buttons and joystick while usung whatsapp, skype, FaceTime and other apps for videocall with this model? Yes why, No why please ASAP!!! Many thanks
You always can use the buttons on the gimbal. However in certain Apps certain buttons can have different features, so test how certain Apps behave in combination with a paired gimbal. Software features like active track only works within the Mimo App
Hi Atti- thanks for the video. How did you film the overhead shootings eg. 0.43-0.46? Was that with DJI Osmo Mobile 3? and was it handheld of in fixed position?
Thanks for the explanation and Happy New Year 2020. Would love you will give us who is beginner about the tips about cinematography technique and short cut using Dji osmo mobile 3
Hi! I have watched the video which explains the features of the gimbal but no explanations about how to shoot Cinematic Videos. Have I missed something?
Hey Alin, no you didn't you are right. I'm working on a second video which explains certain movements the help with a cinematic look and feel. What details would you like to see in that tutorial?
@@AttiBear Thank you for your reply. I am a beginner and I don't have much knowledge so I wouldn't know what to ask. Looking forward for the new video though.
I'm an DSLR user, just got the Osmo Mobile 3 and I'm itching to make some content on my phone (currently S7 but looking at the S10+ in the near future). Ran some footage around the house and it is buttery smooth. Currently -16 w/o the windchill right now so outdoor footage won't be happening right now. Excited!!
Haha I feel you, it's never fun to record outside under such conditions. I know that itching all too well, especially with the iPhone 11 Pro at hand. The vast compatibility of the Osmo Mobile 3 in my opinion is one of it's greatest strengths. Have you played around with Active Track yet?
@@AttiBear Absolutely. I recorded my daughter and her too friends practicing their songs at church and did some pan shots with tracking turned on. My only hiccup is that it did randomly pick one of the girls to the left or right a couple of time but I think because it was when they were in a chain hug and their heads were too close. Outside of that, it worked great.
Depends on which App you are recording in. The DJI Mimo App has no support for anamorphic Lenses so you'll need to desqueez it in post. Filmic and Moment can do it on the fly.
Great video and I love the features within DJI MIMO, but you’re stuck with 30 or 60 FPS. If I use Filmic Pro to get the frame rates etc, I lose active track and front to back switching.
I don't think Focus Pulling on a smartphone is that big of a deal. Smartphones are missing the necessary focal length to achieve real depth of field. So if I were you, I'd focus on a gimbal like the Osmo Mobile 3 or Mini MX
I see you're using additional lenses on your phone. Some additional lenses use a case to "click" the lens in place. The lens case seems a bit large for the clamps to hold the camera in place. I'm worried my camera will fall out. It seems like the DJI is made to just put the phone in without a case.
Hey Angie, in my experience it highly depends on the case. There are some that fit perfectly and others are just to heavy and too big. An easy way to add additional support is to use some good old ducttape 😅
Great straightforward video introduction to the features. I am looking at picking up an Osmo Mobile 3 next month and will be saving your video to “watch later” folder to get me started. Cheers Keith
Your phone doesn’t need to be perfectly balanced on the OSMO Mobile 3. I noticed that phone cases sometimes make it harder to get it balanced. Try it with the bare phone first und then work your way from there. You’ll get the hang of it pretty quick this way. What phone are you using?
I need to revise my comment. It turns out there’s a massive difference in controls between iOS and Android. You also only can record in 4K30 with Android. 4K60 is only available on iOS. I’m sorry for the confusion
@@AttiBear I note you have no reply to the comments regarding your lack of information regarding no information on shooting cinematic video as claimed in your description. ??

Atti Bear thanks a lot! Based on your advice and some other comments from all around the internet, I have already ordered the Osmo. Cannot wait to receive it and start filming everything. When my idea will grow, I’ll let u know and I’ll thank you again! 🙏🏻😁
Sir can you say how to make the intro video that you have please make a tutorial in that please sir
:)
Weird question Can I use my OSMO POCKET on Osmo Mobile?
I don't see how you could fit the Pocket onto the Mobile. What are you trying to achieve?
Tnx for sharing
Glad You liked it buddy ✌️

Great video, you mentioned the lenses and the heavy one at the beginning of the video, perhaps you notice a screw hole on the gimbal arm close to where you attach the smartphone, that is for the counterbalance screws in case you use heavy lenses with the gimbal.
I have also a question: Can I use all the buttons and joystick while usung whatsapp, skype, FaceTime and other apps for videocall with this model? Yes why, No why please
ASAP!!!
Many thanks
You always can use the buttons on the gimbal. However in certain Apps certain buttons can have different features, so test how certain Apps behave in combination with a paired gimbal. Software features like active track only works within the Mimo App
How to record ground flat, camera directed flat to the ground with this gimbal? is there any trick for that?
You mean the underslung mode?
Hi Atti- thanks for the video. How did you film the overhead shootings eg. 0.43-0.46? Was that with DJI Osmo Mobile 3? and was it handheld of in fixed position?
Hi Stefan, no that was shot with my EOS R on a Tripod Setup
Very good and useful video! I've just bought this gimbal, and this video helped me so much 👌🏼👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Miguel 😃. How do you like it so far? Have you tried out all the features yet?
Does it support 4k videos?
If your phone supports 4K then yes. As far as I know android phones only support 4K30. If you want 4K60 you’ll have to have an iPhone
@@AttiBear okay thank you so much, I thought the app compresses the video quality, but thank you so much 💖
How do I do the full screen video ?
Thanks for the explanation and Happy New Year 2020. Would love you will give us who is beginner about the tips about cinematography technique and short cut using Dji osmo mobile 3
Thank you David and happy new year to you too! Do you mean a tutorial on basic cinematography rules?
Good work. Nice video. Thanks.
My pleasure George 🙏. Any requests for future content?
Happy weekend!
Thanks! Have a good start into the new week ✌️
Alright. The new Video will focus on some basics so I hope It'll help 😃
Please can you do a tutorial with android.. I have a Samsung s21 ultra but not many vid tutorials out there😭
what brand of anamorphic lens did you use in this video?
This one here ➡️ geni.us/JOQhB
Thanks😍
But I can't find photoes and videoes I shot them, where can I find them?
You need to enable "save to camera roll" in the settings, otherwise your recordings can be found in the bottom right corner at the play button
Have you tried the zhiyun 4 gimbal? Supposedly it’s a slightly more ‘pro’ version of cheap gimbals.
Not yet but who knows maybe I'll figure something out 😁
I'm an DSLR user, just got the Osmo Mobile 3 and I'm itching to make some content on my phone (currently S7 but looking at the S10+ in the near future).
Outside of that, it worked great.
yeah that probably was it. You also can try to draw a box around them. Maybe this will make it easier to track them 😉
Hello, is the mobile app and gimbal works properly with smartphone Huawei P smart 2019? Thx
When using anamorphic lens, does it show desqueezed in viewfinder or you do the de squeezing post?
Depends on which App you are recording in. The DJI Mimo App has no support for anamorphic Lenses so you'll need to desqueez it in post. Filmic and Moment can do it on the fly.
thank you so much for your video!!! this has helped me already. so great to have videos that teach tips/angels/tricks love it.
Hey Jay Dee I'm always happy to help. Which of my tips helped you the most?
Thank you bro 🤚🤚🤚🤚🙏
You are welcome Mou 🙏
awesome and convincing
Glad you liked it She Lila ✌️
"I can't wait until 2020"
Great video
2020 yeah 🥳😁. Thanks J 😉
hey bro I'm from the future , the next Dji gimbal is Dji Osmo mobile 4...😁
Awesome thumbnail!!!
Thanks I gave my best 🙏
Great video and I love the features within DJI MIMO, but you’re stuck with 30 or 60 FPS. If I use Filmic Pro to get the frame rates etc, I lose active track and front to back switching.
Thank you! Are recording an Android or iOS? Cause I also can choose 24 fps in the Mimo App.
@@AttiBear Google Pixel 4 Android. Where will I find 24fps option?
Does it have focus pull option? And works with filmic pro?
It has limited support in combination with Filmic. You can't pull focus with the gimbal itself. It can only be done within Apps
@@AttiBear Thanks for your time to respond. So, I'm consider buying Zhiyun Smooth4 for these reasons. Your suggestions please ?
I don't think Focus Pulling on a smartphone is that big of a deal. Smartphones are missing the necessary focal length to achieve real depth of field. So if I were you, I'd focus on a gimbal like the Osmo Mobile 3 or Mini MX
@@AttiBear Thank you so much buddy.
Nice info, just bought one, looks pretty cool. Thanks for the upload, cheers :)
You are welcome! Glad you like it 😉. Happy creating ✌️
Love the active track but wish there was a way to stop it when you are still in front of the camera.
You can start and stop active track with DJI's gestures but in my opinion they aren't really that reliable

Thanks Keith. Hope you'll enjoy the Osmo as much as I do 😉
osmo dji mobile 3. is it compatible to P20 huawie pro ,
If it can run the Mimo App then yes. But be aware sometimes android phones can face feature limitations on the Osmo 3
How do you balance your phone on the gimbal? It is so difficult for me
Your phone doesn’t need to be perfectly balanced on the OSMO Mobile 3. I noticed that phone cases sometimes make it harder to get it balanced. Try it with the bare phone first und then work your way from there. You’ll get the hang of it pretty quick this way. What phone are you using?
Are those Mimo app control settings only available on IOS?
Hey Stanley, as far as I know the controls are identical on Android and iOS
@@AttiBear cool thank you
I need to revise my comment. It turns out there’s a massive difference in controls between iOS and Android. You also only can record in 4K30 with Android. 4K60 is only available on iOS. I’m sorry for the confusion
Hello plz i can hear a really low low sound in the second motor axis it sound like a cooling fan is it a problem or just a normal thing ?
That's not normal. Mine is completely silent. Maybe you should check your warranty.
Thank you, Love From Palestine
Always happy to help Mazen 😃. Enjoy ✌️
@@AttiBear I note you have no reply to the comments regarding your lack of information regarding no information on shooting cinematic video as claimed in your description. ??
Thank you for your tips my friend! This will help me a lot! Good luck & more power.
Thank you Alvino, enjoy creating and let me know If I can be of further assistance 😉
Okay sure bro.. Thanks for your reply. i am so happy.
What app do you use to create your video
