One of The best jfk videos. At the beginning his voice resonates all over the Arlington cemetery and suddenly the voice stopped when we reach jfk cemetery denoting the fact that he had died. Very very emotional video. Thanks for posting.

This is such a moving video. Me and my husband visited President Kennedy's grave a few days ago and it was so surreal seeing it as I've admired JFK my whole life. Arlington is so peaceful and has the most beautiful views over looking Washington. President Kennedy will always be the best President this country ever had and will ever have

My dad came home very early that day. He was an engineer for Northern Electric which employed over 1,000 employees and they were all sent home! All my sisters and brothers were sent home and all schools closed. Our stores and shops were closed. And for days everywhere you went people's faces were long and gloomy!

As a child I took a picture while standing outside of General Lee's home. When you look at his home at 2:14 - look to the last column on the right side. When the film was developed you could clearly see a dark figure that looked like a Union soldier holding a gun. The picture has been lost but I will never forget it. You could see the outline of the cap & the person holding his weapon. I wonder if they & many others are still there today in sprit form.
I hope all buried at Arlington can finelly rest in peace & also others who have served our great country.
Thank you for sharing your videos with us. And I thank those who served but also remember those who lost their loved ones who are buried here.

Interesting the date of posting September 2010 as I had just returned home on August 31st that year from a lengthy stay at Parkland Hospital where I was on the floor of the legendary burn unit founded by the Late Charles Baxter whom was one of the doctors with President Kennedy in Trauma Room 1 and Dr Bob McCelland came to visit who was also there and see me in ICU . Dr McCelland and Det Jim Leavelle both passed a couple of months ago. Also had a nice congenial conversation with Clint Hill at the Texas School Book Depositary building in November 2013 shortly after the 50th anniversary.

Well, let's see... I was 9 years old when Kennedy was assassinated. I was in 4th grade and we were in class. The principal went to each classroom and told the teachers that Kennedy had been killed. He walked into ours and whispered the bad news to our teacher, and of course she teared up and after he left she told us. That day they let out school early. There was nothing on TV except coverage of the assassination for the next 4 days. Very sad time.

What I saw was this person a thin lady come to pay her respect and cry silently but noticeably. And I realized on that cold November day many years from his assasination the loss........

It's a shame that the many women found wearing a male uniform on the battlefields that served in the Civil War are not remembered at all & probably never will be.

It took him 16 years to get the original zapruder film before the CIA edited it to release to the public. BTW, the government murdered Cooper too.

I pointed to the wall and said that they forgot to include one of JFK's famous quotes. She gave me a puzzled look at asked me which one, and I said "Ooooo Marilyn, that feels good! Do that again!" She burst out laughing and everyone there turned around and stared at her.
