I wouldn't say it was Captain Safety's worst mistake. That makes it sound like it was an error. It was a choice he made to try to take out Jacque. It was despicable.

Case in point, Suzuka 89 and 90. Both crashing to win the championship, nothing tops that in terms of controversy
@@riskia2733 I mean yes crashing into someone is bad however fixing a race because you want someone else to win and not break the title is the worst part of sports! That is rigged at the highest level!

You can say Michael was disqualified "just for one incident," but it was the second time he purposefully crashed into his championship opponent in an effort to eliminate them from the championship. Once gets the benefit of the doubt, twice does not. Michael was a great driver, but a terrible sportsman.

Did anyone else notice that the shutter speed on this video is way too high? The scene is well lit and to avoid overexposure the shutter speed is increased (instead of an ND filter). It gives a subconscious uncomfortable feeling of unnatural sharpness due to zero motion blur.

In the week leading up to the race, Villeneuve told anyone who would listen that Schumacher would run him off the road. That's exactly what happened, usually, the grandee marques get a slap on the wrist, whilst smaller teams are given a bigger penalty. To give credit to the governing body they did the right thing.

Schumacher's biggest mistake was to think he could race motorcycles. Few people know this, but he had a previous accident (from the skiing one) where he also hit his head very hard (the back of the head that time) on a motorcycle race in 2009 getting a serious brain damage, and many people think he lost his edge there. And when he returned to F1 at Mercedes about a year since this accident, he was far from his old self, being easily beaten by Rosberg, who was no genius.

People can say whatever they want about Schumacher, that was pure dive bomb from Villeneuve. He is full lock on th wheel, locking, and going straight into the turn.
If Schumacher hadn't open the steering initially they would have crashed.
Schumacher for most of his career fought for the championship racing in the second or third best car on the grid. Senna even when he drove the second best car on the grid like in 1992 and 1993 couldn’t compete for the championship at all.
Williams said that they brougt stronger wishbones that race, because of the '94 incident. They were right 😅

no one talk about how McLaren, breaking the rules, succumbed to Williams all season by collusion of Frank Williams and Ron Dennis, for this help at the last Grand Prix Villeneuve specifically let both McLaren ahead of him, to the double.If the FIA had known about this, both teams and all their drivers would have been disqualified.Andrian Newey confirmed in his book that there was such an agreement between the team leaders. so I don't think Schumacher's maneuver is dirty.
The 1999 European GP at the Hungaroring was BY FAR THE MOSTINTERESTIG GP raec that was EVER run !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO OTHER F1 race even comes close !!!!!!!!!!!!
Formula 2? It was Formula 3000 that was the secondary series to Formula 1. That season was close with Zonta just beating Montoya.
The World is big AF, its just the top elite layer that is thin and a small world.
Michael Schumachers worst mistake, was being so jealous of Rubens Barrichello, who was having a successful year in F1, at the time, while Michael was struggling. Michael almost smashed Rubens into a concrete wall, while they were both going 180 miles per hour. That was the lowest of Michael's low lights. It was breathtakingly awful to watch happen in real time.We miss you Michael and Rubens, best of days to both of you.
As a huge Schumi-fan, I have to agree, that was terrible from Schumacher. In contrast to Jerez 1997 or Monaco 2006 he actually put another driver in danger of getting hurt.
You´re wrong with Schumacher being jealous of Barrichello though.
The maneouver happened at Hungaroring 2010 and Schumacher was ahead of Barrichello in the championship at that point already.
