Ummm.... Honestly, if you get the chance to see these guys live... DO IT. They are AMAZING. Everything they do during their concert just blows you away... It's awesome.
Paul is my hero, I love seeing this band live. They are absolutely crazy on stage. They definitely put any other show to shame after going to a mutemath concert.
I wouldnt be surprised (amazingmato) they are wicked creative.. when i saw them live i didnt even want to blink or miss any of the crazy awsome stuff they did
Mute math is a beacon of hope to appreciators of synamic and good music. They are like Radiohead, but less self involved. I mean radiohead esqe in the manner that they push the limits of the audible. Go mute math go
This was unavailable for a while...glad they brought it back. I love how when Mutemath plays shows, the stage is like their own musical playground, and they kill it.
They took an old Atari console, added a touch pad and did a little electrical tweaking. It's called circuit bending. Many underground electro musicians are into it and if i'm not mistaken, you can even find websites that sell contraptions like that pre-made!
I love Mute Math! You should see the live David Letterman performance here on UA-cam of "Typical", then "Chaos", and then their newest video, "Spotlight"! I just want to swim in their music, man! And the drummer's name is Darren King, btw! Lead singer: Paul Meany. Guitar: Greg Hill. Bass: Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas.
Oh my good god... this is unreal. Mutemath, and this song in particular, sounds like a cross between Battles and Clinic. Exit/In's in Nashville right? What an ill set

I’ve seen them many times and they never disappoint.
I saw them in St. Paul in 2010 and the dude literally threw out an inflatable mattress and stood on the crowd while we held it up...nuts

sad, no comments for 11 months, until now! Ladies and gentlemen... I present to you, the first post in nearly a year.
Love this song btw
If I had to have that much energy while drumming, I would be exausted after one song never mind a concert!
I saw them with Matchbox 20 & Alanis. It was amazing. They took turns playing the drums in one song.
mute math will engulf the universe
MUTEMATH: epitome of charisma.
'nuff said.

MuteMath has the best drummer of this entire decade!
Both have their very unique way to play... You can´t compare them to another...

This was a much more balanced sound than that of their performance at the larger City Hall in early October 2007.

i like the way reset sounds on their album. its mostly the guitar that makes this clip sound weird
das ist genial, vor allem die schlagtaktung des drummers
Oh my good god... this is unreal. Mutemath, and this song in particular, sounds like a cross between Battles and Clinic. Exit/In's in Nashville right? What an ill set

I give it an even 39 out of 39 for sure.....
the first video i saw of Mutemath....so awesome *sigh*.. i showed it to all my friends. The energy really had me.
Whats that thing he played by sliding his finger?
What was that thing he was playing??
this should have been in 007.
not at 0:25 i meant at like 4:25
ok...about a 4 minuts in Paul meany drools a bit or has sweat dripping of his forehead or something, just shows how hard he's working
this song always reminds me of half life...idk why! :/
lol bizhan
@Forth3lulz I think they're way better live.
the love the part that sounds like a whale singing!!!!
try Mike Portnoy from Dream theatre. Darren is very good... but Mike is better [in my opinion]:)
major dummer
this song was their encore at 2 of their concerts i saw... the drummer is truly amazing. *especially* in this song
this is one of my favourite youtube videos man darren your sick bro yall keep up the class work!
cheers from Austin Texas
Anyone who can make interesting music without lyrics in the modern scene has got some serious talent. Great stuff!
i hope mute math dubs more into experimentation on their next album cause this is amazing.
It's called the Atari... a homemade synth musical instrument.
This is a classic Mute Math video; it'll always be one of my favorites. :D
quite the drummer... I wonder if he's better than simple planns drummer, it's debatable..
I'm leaning towards simple planns drummer myself.
Anyone know any other amazing bands like Mute Math? I've been looking forever but no one else comes close.
lol! at like 0:25 paul looks like as if he has to finish a 10 sheet assignment in 5 seconds!
wow. that was the shit! wish i was there wid some shrooms it would be home. :)
Love this song, its just so trippy and it flows so well!
Cool song; what was that thing you were using behind the drummer there?
Looks like a Fuzz Factory and stuff on that guitar thing.
if you like this song try and listen too the french band - air
what the heck is he playing?
is that something they made?
What is that funky-sounding thing he's playing???
fucking best music in the world! just great!
