Nice vid overall, but I gotta say that I completely disagree with tip #8. Anyone who extensively plays vs series games will understand that DHC'ing from one raw super into another is a strategy that has utility, even on block. One reason to do this is to switch out your point character to keep him safe. Another reason is to compensate for an unsafe super by DHC'ing into a safe (or relatively safe) super. It can also be a safe way to transition into another super (for example DHC into a command grab super to confirm the hit, or into a lvl 3 install to make it safe). It can be risky and wasteful, but it's definitely not something that people should avoid doing. It's something they should utilize as an option.
I'm with you on the character switch or to compensate for the unsafe super. However, there's still no grab super announced, so I can't just throw that tip out in the hopes that it will come up, and because the chip damage is so low, I would highly recommend not following up with a level 3 in that situation. I could have phrased it better, but as you can see, this is very much targeted at beginners. People will pick up more advanced strategies and I'll definitely be here helping you guys out. Thank you very much for your comment
He's actually correct. The #1 reason to tag-super on block is to guarantee that your current character gets to escape. Especially if they are low on health. Many supers are punishable so a low-health character will die unless you tag them out with a tag-super. It is a tactic that is used in very many tag games like Marvel vs Capcom.
You press the corresponding button to choose which character to swap in. Also, when you swap another character in, they lose any blue health that wasn’t recovered.
I was always having trouble trying to figure out a good technique to start combos and from watching this video I had no idea about jumping back and using an assist is really helpful to starting a good combo
Bro, I just wanna thank you for the videos you have. The beta is currently out and your mechanics and character videos are a godsend. You have my subscription.
Hey tgnanime, just letting you and everyone else know. It's the same principle of switching enemy players out with dragon rush as it is to call your own fighterz in. You use L1 for second character, and of course L2 for their 3rd character. 🖒
In my opinion, the coolest way to stop someones super dash with a super move is Goku Blue’s level one. When you is it, you’ll be right above them with them frozen in time, and you’ll shoot a Kamehameha directly at their face. Point blank range.
to force a switchon the opponent you use the dragon rush (the combo that acts like a throw) and hit one of the switch character buttons mid or late rush combo animation.
I find the super subtle differences between FighterZ then and now quite amusing, with my favorite being Death Saucer's updated trajectory. There was no need or pressure to change it I don't believe, but it's an arch now. That's the difference. It's not like anyone plays Frieza though.
If you want to switch to the opponents first assist character, grab the character and hold L1. For the second assist character hold L2. If you have an Xbox, go shut it off and buy a ps4.
For the PS4 there's three characters and when you press L1 the middle one he or she will come out to fight, and when you press L2 he or she come out to fight.Tip:you can being out a very damaged opponent.
I find the d-pad a hell of a lot easier to use commands with. At the end of Frieza combos for example, when in air, I'll do QCF special then I'll spam QCF super to make sure it does it as soon as possible. It's way easier to span QCF on d-pad than on joystick imo.
How do you do the air juggle? I see them in the air hit 2 or 3 times then continue in momentum in the air with another 2 hits to a knockdown to a super. How do u do the air juggle? Is it just up and an attack button?
James Mustin pretty much yeah. The key is to do a few basic hits, a special then your super or whatever though my execution for this tactic is really bad in any anime fighter lol
If you're in the air you can preform a jump cancel. You can preform about 2 air moves then you tap up to jump cancel if you still have your double jump, and then you can proceed to do a couple more air moves into a knockdown and then into a super.
Follow up supers work if you time it after the super so they can react. If they do instant transmission you can do a follow up super to hit them. But this video came out prior to release. So you should do an update video.
I suck I only got two wins this is my first fighter since MK vs DC I just loved DBS so I got this it's still fun even tho I've only beaten two ppl but I am getting better taking some fighters out now
pretty good vid, bu ti think you could use less of the camera that shows you. I believe that most people come to the game advice, not the face of the guy who is talking about it.
KillerGymSox professional players get to preview it and give updates, just look at Maximillians YT, he was invited by Bandai to try/preview the game 😂😂 there’s always someone whos a little uneducated in the matter....even Battlefield pro’s previewed BF1 to the rest of the world...
To counter super dash I think a good Heavy atk is a good way to do it (it say get off!!!!) And most of the time I did it in the beta it worked well (I don't know if it supose to work like that but a good Heavy working really well for me But I most said I only used it like 3 time because I totally forgot it could work and only find it at the end of the beta...)
Jump backwards at the start? I would say that isn't a good idea. You put yourself closer to the corner for no reason. It's not even that great for defense. I recommend just crouch blocking and react to what the opponent does.
Personally I think it's the best tactic. I played the closed beta and fought in the tournament and crouch blocking is a bad idea. If your opponent jumps back and you're crouch blocking you can easily get hit with an overhead super. It's happened so many times in the tournament
Nero Mashiba You don't get hit with an "overhead super" while crouch blocking. Is there even an overhead super that can hit you if they jump back? Even if they do it, you can just stand block. I don't see why you would give up some space and get pushed into the corner. You can't really start offense with jumping back so you are essentially put on the defensive at the start in a game where offense is very powerful.
Guess Who of course offense is very powerful and if you played the game at all you'd know that there is little to no time to react while crouch blocking at the very start of the battle and Goku's Kamehameha easily hits while someone is crouch blocking. And defense is just as effective as offense in a fighting game
Nero Mashiba Goku's Kamehameha does not hit overhead. You can block it, even if it is in the air. Air projectiles are rarely overheads unless they go straight up and then down. Overheads are usually slower and more reactable compared to lows. Yes I played the beta (for one session since Xbox was a mess) Let's be real. If you crouch block at the start, you can block almost everything the opponent can do that's unreactable. Super dash? Punish with crouching heavy (and you are already crouching). KI blast? Blocked. Kamehameha? Blocked. The opponent moves in to do a mix up? You have time to react to that. Full screen overheads aren't really a thing from what I can see. Also how can Goku's kamehameha hit a crouch blocking opponent?
apsidalplace18 I DEFINITELY AGREE from experience button mashing doesn't work at all them just block then super. Just go to training and make cpu difficulty slowly rise it helps me.
...get this guy a luigi hat
😂
Corey Hall it wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have the stache
Dragon rush plus tag button will swap the enemies main character depending which tag button you press
thanks my dude. I'm a noob and that helped
thanks twice
Thought the swap was random
Thanks for that

One reason to throw out an assist super on block is for a safe emergency character change.
I'd say there are safe ways to do it without spending 1 bar of meter, but yes. I guess that can also be the case
Leon O'Grian right

Those two Teen Gohans shooting their supers upwards diagonally towards each other was fucking hilarious

Which button do you press to do sparkling blast?
They tag out an assist while doing a super because they want the safe switch. Doesn't matter if the enemy is blocking or not.
which video is about air recovery or fast recovery after knocked down
If you want to switch to the opponents first assist character, grab the character and hold L1. For the second assist character hold L2. If you have an Xbox, go shut it off and buy a ps4.
Love your videos man. Thanks!
Thank you for these tips. I will be sure to use it when I have the game. Keep up the work!
How do u do the sparkin blast??
What Frieza color @1:14???

Literally won my first ever match online after watching this video..especially how to punish dragon rushing! Thanks a lot! Subbing
For the PS4 there's three characters and when you press L1 the middle one he or she will come out to fight, and when you press L2 he or she come out to fight.Tip:you can being out a very damaged opponent.

D pad is better for this game
I have a weird addiction that i want to remove which is using supers while trying to pressure
What am i doing?
So this game was at evo before the beta was out?
I'm a better player solely by watching this video. Thanks 👍🏼
*One year later...*
2 years later..

Supers are hard to do from player 1 side.
Waluigi with the pro tios🤟👍
TL;DR,
Don't Sparking just to extend combos.
pretty good vid, bu ti think you could use less of the camera that shows you. I believe that most people come to the game advice, not the face of the guy who is talking about it.
That amber alert facial hair! Lol
This video should be called "DBFZ Basics." Has nothing to do with pros
lol make a video on how to block gokus super sayian 3 super lbs
He always teleports behind you, so just push the other way.
yeah i figured that out it got pretty easy to predict it now
there aren't any pros yet since the game has not been released and nobody is getting paid to play. I mean, that is what professional means.
KillerGymSox professional players get to preview it and give updates, just look at Maximillians YT, he was invited by Bandai to try/preview the game 😂😂 there’s always someone whos a little uneducated in the matter....even Battlefield pro’s previewed BF1 to the rest of the world...
Steve Stewart lol wow 😂
Wow you're so smart

awww *blush*
Meh the entire tournament was super disappointing.
And people hardly vanished to counter moves or rapid cancel
I think it's obvious most players didn't know what they were doing. They just wanted to play

Pro gamers are cringy af
Pros dont exist on a button masher. Combo system is trash
Dean Woodz Huh? You just gotta learn combos lime any other fighter what do you mean?
PrazeDaSun BRO If you dont understand im not gonna waste my time typing it out
Dean Woodz The auto combos? or the combo patterns cause we know of at least one combo path that works with basically everyone
apsidalplace18 I DEFINITELY AGREE from experience button mashing doesn't work at all them just block then super. Just go to training and make cpu difficulty slowly rise it helps me.
apsidalplace18 bitch play me then, whats your psn
