Probably, every fighting games player has moments/periods when they feel unable to progress and win even one single match. And you know - it is a good sign! It means you’ve grown beyond the starting beginner level and are ready to move forward, get better at your fights. Dragon Ball FighterZ is pretty accessible. And also, the game has some rather deep mechanics. The transition to the intermediate/advanced level might be challenging. You just feel you suck at the game. Don’t get upset! DashFight has a video for you. Look straight in the eyes of the reasons that hold you back. Know your enemy and discover the ways to defeat it - thanks to this DBFZ guide.
I try my best practicing these stuff but I struggle alot when in an oki situation for me or the opponent, many times I just make the wrong guess and many times when I try to oki the opponent counter it, crossups are always frustrating for me to deal with
Thanks man, this helped more than I can explain. I was fresh out of the tutorial, and tried to join a casual match, then got 3v1d by one dudes character. Thanks for helping out
I know I'm bad at DBFZ because I can't land combos(I started playing past week), and I know autocombos won't reward me nothing, so I'm training to maintain the combos in my memory and use it in game! Currently my favorite character is Vegito because everything he does deals a ton of damage, but the plans are to learn Kid Buu and Gotenks(or maybe Teen Gohan)
Someone finally said it! This was very straightforward. I’m honestly getting tired of playing this game for the visuals tbh. I wanna smack some people online and have some actually fun. Great vid m8 smoking a fat dooby and getting to the training
Maybe you because you just started. I did that when I was saibaman rank. I still do it when I am not used to a certain character. Once you learn your characters better, you won't even have to look.
nice guide, will definitely try this! also, have to say, you do a LOT of combo resets for more damage with mui goku. very risky and looks like you know the character well!
That sudden 8-16 frame spike while I’m mid combo string do be throwing some of my rank matches sometimes even tho I have 1600 hours on the game but I’m still not that good I wish I was pro level
i dont know what neutral or oki means and what combos am i supposed to train when most videos are without writings of the combo (i.e. 2m5m etc) and most of them outdated
It would be beneficial for you to be unpredictable in your actions. If you follow a specific pattern in a fight, a clever opponent will know what to do to just punish you again and again. “Mixing everything you know” means to use all the tools the game and your characters offer and to be creative in your movements, attacks, and general gameplan. So, it’s also about mixing in every particular situation - to confuse an opponent, so they don’t know how to block and get a hit. To do so, learn movesets of your characters properly and experiment a lot in Practice mode and in actual fights.
I feel like most of my failures are in my inconsistency like one match il be a god blocker blocking every low countering every grab then the next match il try to block a grab 5times in a row for No good reason
As someone completely not into the world of fighting games and DBFZ what do you mean when you say “combo finisher” and is it the same as a “dramatic finish”?
“Combo finisher” is a big, destructive move that finishes a combo in the game (mainly Super Move in DBFZ). It’s a safe way to perform these attacks, when your opponent cannot punish (being in sliding knockdown). And it’s a “finisher” because you cannot continue a combo after it and need to start another one. It doesn’t mean you KO your opponent with a combo finisher - it may or may not happen.
When you spend a good hour in training mode learning some combos only to realise my def and movement sucks xd Just bought the game 3 days ago still having a bit of a rough time when playing against certain characters (Hit, DBS Broly, Janemba) but im dedicated to improve.. just don't know how 😅🤣
Really I noticed people will be good with certain characters and have learned their long effective damaging combo and will spam that single combo over and over the match, and guess what it works….
My dude I can't even connect a single attack. I practised combos I can do the basics but I can't find similar skilled players and whoever else I face up against I can't even connect a single, SINGLe hit
Gogeta blue is the only character I know how to approach people with, because of down medium Yeah vegito is good for it, but it doesn’t have as good of a hit box me personally
Back when I first saw this video, I actually knew what my issue was; me, I was the issue. I just couldn’t mesh with the latest patch at the time and I couldn’t adapt like everyone did, then the latest patch recently made it so I can not only adapt, but do TOD’s so much more easily. Now I partake in tourneys and play MvC with former pros, things changed so much the more I played Fighterz.
Damn this video really didn’t give me what I’m losing for I was hoping for some info on countering up heavy’s and how the dragon rush combo thing works for wall bounces you know useful stuff I have over 400 hours across two consoles and yet I still can’t do that and I can’t find where to do it. Honestly just kinda hoped that this would be a bit more then go to the practice range
This is why I hate fighting games. Even casual games like this just attract the most annoyingly competitive people who spend way too much time on one game. Why don't you learn to fight in real life? Practicing this hard on a video game, to a certain extent, is just an embarrassing waste of time. I'm not trash, you're just autisticly good at the game. You're the kind of people who swing at full force in a plastic lightsaber fight. You make the game unfun.
Game is trash. Practice at least 7 hours. Got nothing risk in this game ≠ reward. It’s nothing but a predictable mash fest. I’ve said my piece. Don’t @ me.
gonna @ you anyways, cause i play by my own rules.. the game is awesome when you put the practice in and actually get good, not saying that to be mean, but im serious its very satisfying to pull off insane combos and clutch moves, you gotta hit up that practice mode and learn all the mechanics my dude
Got more than enough hours in practicing during the making of my comment. Nothing improved. Hell, half of the opponents I fight are either Gogeta (blue or ssg4) or Lab Coat 21. They mash their way into victory. Predictable FighterZ player who mashes just as badly will still find new fucking ways to tell me to “get good”. I still put the hours in, and nothing fucking happens. The game wants to be Marvel so fucking bad but fails. Badly.
Bought this game thinking i will sink my teeth into practicing bnb combos and kick everyone's ass but man i was wrong. This game has lots of strategy for an action fighting game, meaning rather than muscle memory, game knowledge and timing are much more important. You really don't need manual combos at all, fundamentals are more important. "Always appraoch the game with a joyful spirit" lmao if it is just a shitty game you will not be so joyful hahaha

BRO YOU NEED MORE LOVE OMG SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH!!!
fuck fighting games
My problem is I came from Xenoverse 2…..
Saaame. Honestly it’s refreshing duking it out vs fighterz top tiers than XV top tiers
Same bro
same
😂
I have to say. This is really informative, and it makes me want to practice more with characters I enjoy. Well done!
Thank YOU! Glad you like it :)

Dbfz isnt meant to be played online i just sit in training and to tods for hours fuck actually playing the game lol
@@bingbong2227 playing online is only for the tough it’s only if you’re built different like a real dbz character
@@bingbong2227 I train with an 8 frame delay, to prep for online fighting.
If you can land your combo with 8 frame delay, you can use it online.
The issue is I can’t get into a single online match
Thanks man, this helped more than I can explain. I was fresh out of the tutorial, and tried to join a casual match, then got 3v1d by one dudes character. Thanks for helping out

I can say that going in to training grounds was actually useful as I was able to make my own combos with my own characters
I'm so trash a dbfz that when I play acrade/local battle I pause the game to see how to do a certain move
Maybe you because you just started. I did that when I was saibaman rank. I still do it when I am not used to a certain character. Once you learn your characters better, you won't even have to look.
Even different fighter games information. Love it
Ive done all of these and still no progress what i need help with is the movement of the game
nice guide, will definitely try this!

Thanks for the feedback :)
I’m here just so I can beat my older brother
Let us know when you do!
I was in a raid with a couple ppl and i felt useless after stage 3 cuz i kept getting hit after i try to combo
Ik this video is a year old but it still hurts me to this day the way he casually uses the term “You suck” 😂
Oh my team sexy asf it ain’t changing. But I had no idea auto combos are wack that’s the plan next time
Damn, dash fight really calling me out like that
yea i def need to work on not getting tilited when my brother beats the shit outta me
How to Play Android 17 would be nice!
Yeah, one day we will make it )
How can I mix everything I know to confuse my opponent?
It would be beneficial for you to be unpredictable in your actions. If you follow a specific pattern in a fight, a clever opponent will know what to do to just punish you again and again. “Mixing everything you know” means to use all the tools the game and your characters offer and to be creative in your movements, attacks, and general gameplan.

To do so, learn movesets of your characters properly and experiment a lot in Practice mode and in actual fights.
What do you mean when you say use all the tools in a fighter’s arsenal?
That means every neutral attack, Special and Super Move, potential movement features, and basically everything a character has in their moveset.
Loved this video, would love to see a video on how to get better at extending combos with certain characters and the mindset behind it
I know how to execute the offense aspect of DBFZ, but how do I properly do defense in DBFZ, besides the obvious guarding?
This is a deep theme, and it could be a good topic for our next video. Thank you for the idea.
Ok ummm can we talk about that golden frieza combo…..wow
I feel like most of my failures are in my inconsistency like one match il be a god blocker blocking every low countering every grab then the next match il try to block a grab 5times in a row for No good reason
What if the character I like is frieza?
i am held back by controls

Ngl bro stopped playing for 4 months and now everyone is the best player in the world
i just keep playing and keep getting my ass kicked, like nothing i do can help me win it feels like
Thank you very much.
Well Said brother
When you spend a good hour in training mode learning some combos only to realise my def and movement sucks xd

I just fought a 3m ultra instinct in 19 frames.Lost twice won once.I’m majin rank
This game needs to come with a coach and a therapist.
LMAO!

Thanks bro!
I don't mash when I face ppl stronger than me I pull out a tod no sparking
Before watching the video, I’m coming in
Not because of combos, cause my combos are good
I just can’t approach or defend against enemies well
Gogeta blue is the only character I know how to approach people with, because of down medium
Yeah vegito is good for it, but it doesn’t have as good of a hit box me personally
Should I buy this game or not pls reply
Buy it
@@ONGOD41556 ok i will thanks
