Which Polene store did you visit and how long did you wait?
We just visited to the second Polene location in Le Marais. The decor was minimalistic and there were lots of big mirrors. There was about at 15 minute wait when we got there. It didn’t feel much like a “luxury” shopping experience (no AC, no personal shopping assistant), and you need to inspect the bag that they brought out because some had small imperfections (indents, glue, etc).
NY in 2022. Bought Numero Uno. SAs were not super friendly or attentive. But the experience overall was quick and they had the color I wanted.

I went to the Paris boutique and left in disappointment 😢 queue wasn't long 30 min but everything was out of stock and quality wasn't great on the display pieces
Has the bag quality decreased as mentioned by many Polene customers? I really want to gift myself one but all the concerns by people is making me change my decision.
I was in the pop up store in Paris in december.It's nicer and less crowded than the other one and it will stay open for two years as my SA told me
Great video! Love the insight. Going to Paris next week and definitely planning on doing some damage at Polene. I hope they will have the neuf and dix in stock when I go. Also would like to hit up the NY store later this year since I'm not too far away in DC.
Great point about the iPad in the store. Every retailer I've ever been to offers free shipping if they don't have something in stock. Charging shipping for something the retailer doesn't have in Stock is like punishing the customer for your own lack of logistics.
That's funny because I live in NYC and when I purchased my Polene Numero Neuf Mini in-store last July, I definitely did not have to pay sales tax. The price was exactly the same as the listed price on the U.S. website.
Just bought the dix in Paris. There are 2 stores in Paris. The store I visited was huge and beautiful, kinda busy, not crowded tho. I quickly stopped a SA and told her what I wanted and she immediately brought it out and I bought it. Very quick. Nice enough. I’d return.
With all the price increases at Polene, I am not sure if I will continue to purchase their products. I visited the Parisian store about three or four years ago, and it was not crowded, no lines at all, plus prices were reasonable. I have also bought online with shipment to Spain, no extra taxes, and to Chile, 25% taxes. At present I would rather go for Demellier, Atelier Auguste or Le tanneur rather than Polene with its last new bag at Euro 520. I have 7 Polene bags and the ones that I really still love are the cute Número 1 Nano.
Super helpful breakdown! I visited the Paris store end of June 2023. I waited about 20 minutes and they had everything in stock. The store was a bit packed and you had to wait your turn for the two mirrors, but overall it was a great experience!

NYC store was a great experience when I went to try out styles- most styles/colors in stock, adequate space, not overcrowded, no wait and SAs so helpful. Paris store was a mess- waited 30-45 mins, so crowded and chaotic, lots of stuff out of stock and was an ordeal even getting an SA to check out… but def cheaper than buying in the US. So arguably worth it? (assuming the Paris store has what you want in stock) I got the numero dix in green!

Would you recommend buying online v in NYC? Been eyeing the cyme in camel and wanted to get it there but don’t want to end up paying more!
Honestlyyyyy so split - if you're local in NY def worth checking out or if you wanted to do the keychain/SLG then yes! there's something i love about purchasing/trying things on in stores over online but the price difference is insignificant tbh
