Love the depth of shoulder on your new colt! You like the Dancer line!! Coming from a proud Canadian, so do I!! The filly seems to have some good bone to her as well. Can't wait for the video of Sonnet, waiting impatiently!!! LOL. Stay safe, and Good luck with your new babies!!!

Hi Jay, Nice meeting you at the Barretts Sale. I got outbid on Extreme Heat so I am still looking for a nice guy who wants a new career as a sport horse and all around best friend. Meanwhile I am off to Keeneland November to find a nice Kentucky mare to add to my broodmare herd. Thanks so much for all the very helpful insight!
Jay, that was super exciting!! What a lovely colt and filly! I just love to watch videos of horses sold at keeneland. Here is another yearling sold at Keeneland ua-cam.com/video/_Xxu7G915Kg/v-deo.html who we all had the pleasure of watching win the Triple Crown. It is very exciting to see more than what we usually see on these videos and how the bid spotter works. So kind of you to share with us. Your colt seems very level headed and sweet. Can't wait to see more of him as he trains. Love your videos so much!!!
You had some real competition there for your sweet colt. Whew, so glad they stopped at 50,000. Every time the competitor comes back with a bid, seems like they won't stop, glad you won out on this youngster!!
Jay this vid was so cool. Market was sold through Keenland. hip 709. Looking at bloodhorse and seeing what After Markets colts sold for...how in the hell was Market purchased for 1500.00
@@JayCNehfracing Thanks Jay I did that. Markets pedigree is amazing. I am sure you can tell me lots of info that is in his pedigree. Your new colt looks great. Looking forward to seeing him run.
Hi Sam. that's a 2 y.o. and the lip chain enables the handler to use a light touch to keep him in control. Bear in mind 2 things: you have to go easy with it and that colt weighs about 900 lbs. He has an agressive attitude and he can get very physically tough with you.
Dang that's a long legged filly! I would have loved some perspective on why you chose the colt. Was it breeding, conformation, etc? Just curious :) I ask because I've owned Saddlebreds, and I'm used to looking for a somewhat different set of attributes.
He looks like a gem! I can't wait to see him progress. Did you have your eye on him before heading to the sale, or did you spot him after you got to Kentucky?
@@JayCNehfracing Your research paid off. It seems like his confirmation is commensurate with the pedigree. I love the videos that you post that help explain how you use pedigree. Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise!
@@JayCNehfracing I've been tooth. One as a tourist (Churchill Downs. Where I just about knocked over Lafitte Pincay Jr. Just after a Breeders Cup) and one as a competitor. Kentucky Horse Park is AAAAMMMMAAAZZZIIIINGGG!!!!
I would be just as pleased with those selections. Just beautiful and well put together, the both of them. A long look at the pedigrees ring bells for quality and stamina. Thanks for the share. It's like being a part of the purchase, riding along here.
Jay, many thanks for such an informative and educational video. You know what you are looking for. You chose a beautiful colt. He's got a set of legs on him, keep us posted. I'm happy to hear that Sonnet is doing well. How is Mars? I imagine he can be a pistol, however, he just left me with a very positive impression. Best of luck to you. I love how you share your experiences with us!
Congrats to you and your brother Jay. They are good looking. As the colt was walking I said to myself this is a Northern dancer type neck! And so it was. Nice hip on him too. Can't wait to see them run. So, have you picked a name? Data link colt? Perhaps Database?! Have fun naming them, it's was a delicate part of horse ownership for me.

I'm working on it
When are you going to do a video on your back story? It would be interesting to hear the history of how you got into the racing business!
Cool to see the auction from a bidders perspective.
It was a bit unnerving to see the video. I have to shut out of my mind those $5,000 jumps- gulp
I bet. I can't even imagine spending $50K on a horse right now...that would pay off my house! LOL
Very interesting! Thank you ! Great to get a Shanghai Bobby now since he is going to Japan.

I’m trying to understand why a yearling is wearing a lip chain
