      SAS been a clown, SAS is constantly always trying to create this narrative that Lebron is trying to create his own narrative. Lebron is literally just talking basketball on the show. SAS literally wants people to listen to his own personal interpretation of anything Lebron does, over actually just listening to or watching Lebron and having your own interpretation. SAS is a completely unnecessary middle-man. I don't like or need his biased commentary. And that whole list positive non-relating things SAS says about Lebron, before getting to the negative stuff he really wanted say that whole time instead, just shows corny and fake SAS is fr. You know a person is a true snake🐍, when they can find a way to make a mockery out positive things a person has done or does on a routine basis smh.

      Stephen A smith was spot on. They’re changing the narrative to fit lebrons legacy. The said the heat wasn’t a super team and that lebron needed more help. This is a clear attempt to gloss over his failures. If the heat wasn’t a super team than it makes the loss not as bad, if we make up the narrative that he needed more help than it makes the loss not as bad. This is clear PROPAGANDA. Lebron choked in multiple 4th quarters and was the 5th leading scoring behind Jason fucking Terry off the bench in that series. They had more than enough help if lebron would have avg at least 25 they could have won that series. This is a joke and if you can’t see this your clearly blind

      @flawless39 2 місяці тому

      @@Romanus-that doesn't make him the goat there are others with better resumes. And what does all that mean? So what he won 6 but look at that era and how bad teams really were. Look at how gets talked about the expansion and look at the guys even Rodman saying the league was weak because of the adding of teams that wasn't ready to win and most teams having lack of stars. I'm taking 6'9 bigger stronger faster, whos better at driving, finishing, finishing after contact, distributing, better range, more versatile etc.
      I don't care what a guy did in their era. I'm looking at competition, skill, teams, and where they guy is. And if we really break it down when it comes to body type, overall athleticism mini speed strength and size, ability to orchestrate, ability to score, ability to be placed anywhere on the court on both sides of the ball, overall efficiency, overall value to a team which is VORP, individual records, Brown is a better all-around player playing in a much more skilled and competitive league with far better teams than what was back in the 90s
      You ask people to go watch, then I encourage people to actually go back and watch 90s games on UA-cam, and not 90s games where it was their best games ever cuz you can do that with any era just go watch random games and you'll see the difference in errors you'll see the skillset you'll see the speed the quickness the size of these athletes and how they can do so much more now than they could then you can look at the bench of the 90s players versus the benches of today it's not close. And when people understand that they are actually really see the difference

    Alot of networks & ESPN specifically focus on talking points about everything other than the game. Stupid shit that fills up time and has contributed (To its detriment) the not so important factors of the game because its much easier to discuss who has a "Clutch Gene" than to talk actual Basketball/Sports. It's like when Jay Z got involved with the Sports Agency game. It makes people who are of the industry shake because now not only do they have to compete, they have to somehow provide a level of expertise that the players have but cant provide.

      A backhanded compliment.
      Transitioning into life after retiring from the pro scene and what SAS described are two different things. He isn't entirely wrong just because Bron is hyper aware of media impact. Him and his team are calculating, which they should be -- everyone should be to some extent. The crux of his monologue wss just reaching and that's putting it mildly. Although like Low was saying these talking heads have been saying things for entertainment purposes. This was obvious for decades but now they are actually coming out and telling people directly. It's virtually impossible to tell where the entertainer begins or ends with all these guys at this point. Maybe SAS more than anyone else.

We expected HIM to perform and not role players. We don't want to hear about no role players. If he just showed up in the 4th quarter, we wouldn't have had this conversation. That's to me the conversation that has never been had, which is why the regular season and all star weekend is watered down. 2016 was the last year all that stuff felt genuine.
    For so long Stephen A, and Skip dictated narratives/legacy talk and not the talent of players, now everythign has suffered because players adopted the mindset "the only thing that matters is the playoffs" and you see it, with the massive ramp up from playoff intensity to regular season games overall.

He also previously claimed that he would've been the same player without the Heat or Coach Spo, but then turns around & credits Coach Spo talking to Chip Kelly to learn the Spread Offense so they could win? Even if Spo went to Kelly, why would he need to go to a guy who never even won a Natty to learn an offense from an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SPORT, when teams where already running variations of the "Spread Offense" in the NBA? Mike Brown had them move the ball and clear the paint in Cleveland, which is why Big Z was a valuable contributor to that team's success. He played the same role Bosh did in CLE.
    Interestingly enough, I also haven't heard them discuss defense much either. LeBron-led teams almost have never have overly complicated offensive sets & he could've used that opportunity to show how much he improved defensively from 2011 to 2012-2013. He outright failed on many defensive assignments in that series too, it wasn't about the paint being too clogged. Wade already discussed how he needed to study film from players like Jordan to play more off ball to win. What sacrifices did LeBron make to his game, since he's had this genius level basketball IQ since age 8? Why couldn't he figure out what to do in 2011 & they needed help from a football coach? What?!

      It wasn’t… It was a big 3. At the time, it was definitely seen as a super team, but the Warriors redefined what a super team really is. Sure, they had a good starting 5, but Their bench consisted of a WAY past his prime Ray Allen, a past his prime Rashard Lewis, and a past his prime Shane Battier
      By that logic, the ‘08 Celtics were a super team. The 2016 Cavs were a super team. The 2018 Cavs were a super team. The Kyrie Celtics were a super team. The 2020, 2021 and 2022 lakers were super teams. The big 3 nets were a super team.

    • @jenius_jr
      @jenius_jr 2 місяці тому +1

      @@TOlp-oe3fp Quite a few issues with your response. You contradict yourself in your second sentence. "At the time, it was definitely seen as a super team" . Thats it. You can't sit there and play revisionist history and then compare it to what happened after it. At the time they formed and came together you yourself can admit it was seen as a super team. Why? Because you had 3 players under 30 who were all all-stars coming together.
      Also, that "WAY past his prime Ray Allen" single handedly saved LeBron's legacy. I'd argue Spoelstra's too. B/c had he not made that shot in the corner they were going to make wholesale changes in that off season after failing to win a ring twice with that roster.
      The difference between the '08 Celtics and the Heatles is the fact that Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and KG were past their prime. They weren't washed up vets I'm not saying that. But they weren't entering their prime like LeBron (Still in his 20s), Wade (Still In His 20s), and Bosh (Still In his 20s).
      These arbitrary examples you provide at the end lack context. You are simply stating 3 superstars on one team automatically equates to a super team. That isn't the only criteria and i think you know that which is why you are throwing them out there in jest.

    • @TOlp-oe3fp
      @TOlp-oe3fp 2 місяці тому

      @jenius_jr You did NOT cook ANYTHING with those paragraphs
      1. Once again, by the logic of “3 all stars = super team”, the 2016 cavs were a super team. The 2021 Nets were a super team. The 2021 Bucks were a super team. I can keep going.
      2. Ok? You do realize this just supports my point, right? If they were such a super team, why did they rely on a 37 to hit arguably the most clutch shot in nba history. Also, hit one shot. You’re talking like he put in an all time performance. He had 9 points that game 1-3 from 3.
      3. Ok. I have a bunch of other examples. Once again, the 2016 Cavs. Love and Lebron were in the same age range as D Wade, and Kyrie was 23.
      4. Then what are the only requirements? You literally said yourself that it’s because they had 3 all stars. I don’t comprehend this. That’s clearly your only criteria, since you didn’t despite the fact that the Heat bench was all washed
