This is our rendition of the beautiful Gaelic folk tune (made famous by Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam) 'Morning Has Broken'. We love its hauntingly beautiful melody and melodic chord progression, and filming it in the sandy dunes of Merseyside coast really seemed to fit the atmosphere.

These vocals are as delicate as fine lace, as crystalline as a snowflake. Lisa's voice never falters and Mona's high harmonies are sweeter than any morning. So many acts out there are exhibitions of vocal fads, while Mona and Lisa's remain pure, timeless, and transcendent.

My mom used to sing this when I was a little boy, I’m now late fifties now and I love your version. I’m typing with big old tears rolling down my face. God bless you two beautiful ladies and I love all your song xxx

I am from Switzerland and we used to sing this song all the time at school.
i love the hearing cat stevens do this and i learned it on guitar many years ago, but you both took that beautiful song to a level of perfection i've never heard before. that was wonderfully awesome.
I have always loved this Cat Stevens song. I was heart broken when he ended his career and hid in a monastery. Thank you for bringing this song back to me.

I learned to play this song on my recorder in grade school and would often sing it in our little reform synagogue service. In 1977 it was included as part of my Bar Mitzvah program. Listening to your harmonies just now was emotional, and meaningful. Ladies I love your voices and look forward to seeing live in concert on the east coast of the states! Keep it coming.

The lyrics were written by Eleanor Farjeon (pronounced far jon). The tune may be an old Gaelic one, but the words definitely aren't. Just thought it would be good for people to know the correct history of this most beautiful hymn. Thank you for making such a lovely version of it. 🙏💖

I just can't get enough of you two. My current ear-worm is alternating between June and I Don't Know Birds that Well. But this one I've probably played on my guitar close to ten times over the past two days, a song I never had any interest in until I heard you two sing it. I love the chords.
