This week, we visit an increasingly popular Mediterranean-inspired condo in the East. Homeowners Bhavna and Darrell were attracted to the ambience of the estate but had to see through the original condition of the unit to conceive the concept to what it is today. It’s a 1,281 square feet 3 bedroom unit, that has been completely transformed into a black and white aesthetic modern design.
First up is the kitchen island, which can double up as a breakfast counter as well. It has a sort of floating effect due to the ambient light at the bottom of the counter. And if you’re wondering why the dining table fits so snugly, it’s because the table was actually purchased first!
In the living room, your eye will immediately look towards the suspended “swing” couch, which is a really cool touch. They also knocked down the walls of the bedroom beside the living to open up the space to their new study space, and the black bi-fold doors are a sleek edition to easily close or open up the space.
There are other unique additions, such as the barn door for the common bathroom, but the one that takes the cake here is the customised slide in the kid’s bedroom which looks superbly sleek!

The group of hexagonal lights on the wall and the swing in the living room, among other things, add such nice touch to the white place. Favourite place - definitely the child's room.

Builtin furniture, other than wardrobe, are not practical in child's room, as they outgrow them super quickly. By the age of 10 - 12 years old they would feel childish with those pretty expensive renovation.
Sounds like the people (adults) commenting here would love the room for themselves! I can picture a teenager retreating up the loft to get away from naggy parents. Design of the room was definitely thought out for the long term, something very difficult to do.
The house and nice and all, but the real star’s the wife.
