He could technically be born as recently as December 31, 1799. That would allow him to live in the 1700s, 1800s, 1900s, and 2000s. And somehow, that means he would be at minimum 222 years old. I understand how he got confused with centuries and decades in the moment because somehow math and English rules could have him be 200 years old yet still have lived in 4 centuries… Oh and just apply all that to decades ^^ I was born in 1999, but I am just now realizing I too have lived in 4 decades. 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s. Math is dumb
I prefer to imagine he just keeps time-hopping backwards to relive his favorite years/decades. Would better explain how he's had the time to play Paper Mario that many times over the course of that huge a lifespan despite the game only having existed for 22 years.
Shamans (all the hooded mage characters whose names start with “Merl”) are by far the coolest race in the Mario series. They actually first appeared in Mario RPG as enemies, but by the time of Super Paper Mario they had a whole backstory that covered a period of several thousand years. It’s insane.

That's one thing I love about Video Games. Revisit a game you played even just 2 months ago and you can realize how much you've grown. You will find that you use different tactics, think differently, make smarter plays, and even do things that, if you replayed it immediately, you would not think to do. You can truly see that you've grown when you play a game again after a long time of not playing it.
Tbh a thing I like about this new playthrough is you are able to let the episodes breathe more because of no time limit Can go at a steadier pace and all that Not needing to rush
@@chugga yeah And it does make them harder to go back to just because it seems more fast paced and having to get everything done But this This is nice Like with Earthbound, nice and refreshing and loads of new info Them getting rid of the 10 minute time limit was one of the best things ever for LPers I feel
It also means he will finally make up for the Paper Mario bonus videos he never got back to. If he decided for some reason to redo Thousand-Year Door, he would actually get to cover the Luigi Waffle kingdom side adventures and we would finally get a official video of his fight with Bonetail instead of it being lost to time from a live stream that never got reuploaded (as far as I know) Update: never mind, Chuggacompilation did upload it, God bless their soul :)
@@Pikachu2Ash oh I didn't realize that I know he did go back for Super Mario RPG for something But never realized he never did something for the original
Fun fact: You can use a clip to get past the logs in Toad Town, and speedrunners use this after getting another party member. However, if you do it earlier and talk to an NPC, in the Japanese version, they'll say "You shouldn't be able to get here yet. If you did, it's a bug, so please get in contact."
actually every single npc in that area has unique dialog that basically says the same thing, but it's written how the characters would say it. it's so weird that they'd put that much effort into error text.
The lore episode has arrived. I love that these wizards became recurring characters in the Paper Mario series, even if every incarnation of them is completely different. It helps give a sense of continuity to the trilogy.

I can't believe I just realized this after over 2 decades, but why didn't the Star Spirits tell Mario where they each were? Only reason I can think of is that they didn't know themselves.
And here we go with the cutscenes... - I never noticed it until I started watching LPs of this game, but I love how Goombario said earlier that Mario can beat Bowser with one hand tied behind his back, and now Kammy is basically saying the same thing. - Wait...how did the Koopa Bros get all the way up into space and back? And why did I never question it until today? - What kept me from using status items/moves too often was how chancy they were. Why gamble on putting the enemy to sleep when I KNEW my fire flower would do 3 damage and my hammer would do 2/4/6 if I nailed the action command? - How you feel about airports, I feel about my city's transit system... - I'm sure the whole comments section is going to do this, but Picklefishlips! - I had no idea Feeling Fine prevented all statuses! I mainly used it for those damn Dark Koopas. - I just went through the badge list and the only one I can see maybe not using is Bump Attack, because by the time you manage to get it, it's too late to be useful...unless you're me and desperate to be fully leveled so you grind Amayzee Dayzees for hours until you hit level 27, buy the Bump Attack for a zillion coins and skip merrily on your way through chapters 7 and 8 without any field encounters. - 2 cutscenes down, 2 to go before the game can truly begin...
I'm thinking the Dodge Master badge tbh. It widens the timing for Action Commands, but those are really easy to pull off with just a little bit of practice.
I agree on the bump attack prediction, because spin attack is available on the first visit to chapter 2, and it works the same way, only requiring a spin dash instead of just walking. IIRC, there aren't any places where Mario can walk but not spin
Ah, good ol’ Toad Town. Of all the hub areas in the Mario RPGs, this is the most iconic one for me and the most iconic iteration of the place compared to PiT’s and BIS’s. Even more iconic than Peach’s Castle in PiT. It’s just so warm and friendly. You really do feel like you’re safe here and in familiar territory while you listen to all the hustle and bustle throughout. Really neat too how this is the only Mario RPG hub world with dynamic music (and one of two tracks in this game too), and I think that just adds so much character to the area. Fists cracking in the dojo, an air of mystique around Merlin’s hut, or nothing but the sound of lapping waves at the harbor. But first we gotta check up on Peach. 0:36 I’m surprised Bowser obliged. I mean HE’s the King around here. King of Awesome to be precise. 1:53 It’s the discount Ninja Turtles! Or are they discount Power Rangers? 2:22 To their credit, they’re the only bosses in this game that works as a team. Every single boss before and after them is either a solo act or uses minions. The Bros. here are all equals. 3:12 The fifth Koopa Bros. obviously. His name, you ask? Frank. 4:30 It has its uses. It can hit airborne enemies as well as enemies further back, but there’s better and more efficient ways to hit enemies in the back even if they’re spiked, and the only time you’d be using it against an airborne enemy is if it’s spiked. Maybe if your hammer is stronger than your jump which does happen at a few points. You wouldn’t know that things aren’t OK in Toad Town based on the music and how casual everyone is. 5:27 Technically this is the very first time in any Mario game where Peach’s entire castle gets spirited away. It only happens one more time later on. 6:26 And this is how Luigi got the reputation of guarding the home front that would haunt him through most of the M&L series. 8:20 That one comic about Geno getting roasted over that same sentiment of how things only become reality because people wish for them comes to mind. Don’t undervalue hard work! 8:52 Keep this in mind about three chapters from now, and if you can’t keep that in mind, don’t worry. You’ve got options. 11:33 So unlike the other Mario RPGs, shelled enemies have to be flipped if you want to make them vulnerable to more damage. Otherwise they take reduced and sometimes no damage due to their increased defense rating. Mario, Goombario, and POW blocks are the only ways to flip shelled enemies, the former two via jumps and headbonks. Note: just because an enemy has a shell does not make them shelled enemies. Bowser for example has a shell, but because you can’t flip him, he’s not a shelled enemy. 14:40 We saw him at the start of the game! 16:00 Reminder that these LPs are as much of a learning experience for Emile as they are for us. 17:03 This was such a nifty transition growing up. Still is. It’s the only time apart from the dynamic music where the soundtrack changes without you transitioning to a new screen or going inside. I think that holds true for the entire OG Paper Mario trilogy. 18:40 I do like that Goombario gets enamored around pretty girls. He’s a growing boy after all. 19:18 To be fair, you do break those blocks with the SUPER Hammer, so thinking they were super blocks isn’t unreasonable. If you owned the player’s guide, you probably never used Merluvlee, but for those that don’t or refuse to use any guide but won’t shy from in-game help, Merluvlee’s your gal. 21:44 Some are helpful, others less so. If you’re going for 100%, you’ll need to buy them all anyhow. I kinda wish that you can see how much BP it takes to equip a badge before purchasing. Can’t do that in this game or in TTYD. Gotta look it up beforehand. 22:05 All Attack FX badges do this. They cost no BP to equip, and if you have multiple equipped it will play a random sound from the pool. That’s where the Attack FX badges get fun IMO. Ah right, Merlow does have duplicates of Badges you can find elsewhere. You can equip multiple of the same Badge if you’ve got them, and the effects do stack…as well as the FP cost if there is one. You also need to have the required BP to equip multiple copies. Can’t just slap on a bunch of Close Calls for only 1 BP and be Danger!/Peril! Mario. I don’t think there’s even enough Close Call Badges in the game to get to 100% since it’s a multiplicative stack and not an additive one. By the way, if you’ve not seen Peril! Mario builds, they are super interesting to see in action. 25:20 Mario’s equivalent of Counter/Karmic Payback. That part about Combo moves is especially important as there are enemies who can strike Mario multiple times in one move. 26:14 Basically, at the cost of 1 point in Attack, every hit Mario connects with will give him 1 HP for a maximum of 5 HP. You can combine this with moves that attack multiple enemies or the same enemy multiple times to get HP back as opposed to single hit moves like most Hammer moves. These only count for Mario’s attacks however, but this is a way of extending Mario’s life and makes him a pretty good tank. The healing is more potent in TTYD since you can stack multiple HP Drain Badges at the cost of more attack power, and you get more HP back per hit equal to the number of HP Drain Badges equipped. There’s also a Partner variant for that as TTYD Partners get their own HP values independent of Mario’s. 27:35 This Badge “stacks” with HP Drain, thus negating the Attack stat decrease at the cost of BP effectively. 28:42 I’m going to guess…hmm, I don’t know what to guess. They all seem to have their uses, even if they’re niche like the Attack FX Badges. I’m gonna guess maybe Runaway Pay? 29:35 Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie I’d wager. Diddy Kong Racing too. Always gotta be 7. It’s the lucky number after all (though for me it’s 8). 30:22 Any wish? No stipulations or restrictions? Because that seems rather dangerous. Even the Eternal Dragons have their limits. Or is there a Monkey’s Paw sort of thing like in trying to bring back the dead? And who gets to determine if a wish is worth granting or not? Who gets to deem a wish as any more selfish or selfless as the next? Seems kinda sketch. Well no wonder he came to steal it! You want something done right, you do it yourself or in this case steal the object that will let you do it yourself. That’s what they get for picking and choosing what they grant when they have the ability to grant any and all wishes no questions asked. Can’t say they didn’t have it coming with a guy like Bowser. Wait, so why hasn’t Bowser used the Star Rod to make Peach fall in love with him yet? 32:40 About that Goombario…well, let’s save it for next time.
@@omega13whitelucario95 Sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant in the menu when you’re just perusing through the badges and not made a choice. Also being able to see what the effect does without getting the spiel from Merlow would be nice, similar to how the Badge shops do it.
Goombario's Log Day 4: After trouncing the Goomba Bros and King Goomba, we made our way to Toad Town. The residents there were pretty riled up after losing the castle and Peach. We spoke with Mario's brother, Luigi, who was watching the house as well. He seems nice. But, we had more serious matters to attend to. We made our way to Shooting Star Summit, where; OMGoomba, I finally got to meet Murluvlee! She's even more gorgeous than I imagined! I hope she wasn't reading my mind at that moment. God I love the music of ShootingStar Summit. The way those opening strings just welcome you is pure magic. The melody is mystical, heaven, and gives a strong sense of nostalgia even if you've only heard the song once.
I know. It's really relaxing. I also love the song "Star Spirit's request". Even my father loves it. In fact, he downloaded it on his phone and uses it as an alarm clock.
To be fair Bowser’s the most proactive person in the Mario canon. When his wishes aren’t granted, he makes his own wishes come true. Yeah he is gonna destroy/rule the world in the process, but gotta admire his gumption.
Chuggaa still finding new things in games he’s played a lot, and only during his LP’s still makes me smile. From Pikmin glitches he didn’t know were possible to signs he didn’t know could be read. I can’t wait for all the other wacky things he didn’t know were in this game.
I remember when I was a kid, after every chapter I would bring whatever partner(s) I'd joined up with to the top of the summit and pretend like I was showing it off to them, letting them appreciate the beauty of it all. I think this was the first time I really appreciated beauty and atmosphere in a video game, and to be fair it was pretty early in my gaming life too so I was getting the good stuff early hehe.
Shooting Star Summit's Music. Holy Moly when I heard the music as a kid I felt so many emotions, I felt calm, peaceful and at the same time I felt that sensation/emotion of "There are a lot of people counting on us and I can feel their hopes and dreams reaching out to us". Paper Mario's OST is SUPER underrated and underappreciated sometimes. Seriously dude keep up the good work. :)
Also THANK YOU CHUGGA! One thing I myself always got wrong because I could never hear it is what they showed bowser to impress him. I always thought because of the words said by the bros in their fight that the first part ending with "Noooo bowser loved that!" that they showed him ??? first and not the attack that does ??? damage. (trying to be vague for any first timers scrolling the comments but if you know the game the fact I said attack that does ??? should tip you off.)
I kinda wish there had been some kinda resource within the game that'd let you see how vulnerable to a status, both in chance and weakness, an enemy is after you Tattle it or something, would've allowed for a bit more strategizing in a casual playthrough over using a status item and hoping for the best, especially since no doubt a lot of players would conclude an enemy is just immune to a status if it doesn't work the first time
7:25 lemme tell you something hilarious that I learnt years later; so that toad, Russ T., I thought that his glasses was his mustache… it was a particularly enlightening experience. I wasn’t the same after I figured that out.
I played a bit ahead and I was so excited to see how you would be voicing everybody, it's definitely a huge production when compared with the original Lp.
One of my favourite little moments from your first play through of Paper Mario was the chest in Merluvlee’s house. Tbh, when I saw it again, my brain immediately went “pickle fish lips” lmao it’s so nice to see you revisit this game with newfound information!
I'm going to guess the badge with no use, is Runaway Pay. I can't see a scenario where you want to run from a fight and keep star points. It'd probably be just as easy to finish the fight. You could use it to refight an enemy and farm star points, but you can also just go 2 screens over to respawn them.
What a heart wrenching, emotionally gripping and dramatic cutscene to embark on an adventure from. I seriously applaud the developers or whoever was in charge of directing/storyboarding this and for devising and creating such powerful atmosphere and meaningful dialogue between the Star Spirits to really establish tone and motivation for the player. 28:26 - I commend you for doing something so ambitious. I support experimenting and utilizing all the tools that are available to you in a particular domain as well as really exploring all your options and what a game has to offer. It is something I've been trying to implement and do a lot more in my playthroughs for games that I've been tackling from my backlog lately (including this one).
Merluvlee and Merlow’s house has always been one of my favorite locations in this game. Thanks for explaining each of the badges, Emile, and saying you will be using each one in this run has me excited.
That moment where the Star Spirits talk to Mario will stay with me forever, It really tells that you're about to start one of Mario's Greatest Adventures, The Star Spirits are like the Gods of Mario's World and each one of them is trapped on a distant Corner of the Planet, Mario has to venture to each of these far off locations and Break the Curses that bind them to set them free and once they all gather they will take Mario into the Sky to fight Bowser Powered up by the Very Source of all the Gods' Power.
9:29 My dad works at a bakery chain that I think was founded by the brother of another bakery chain that serves the same area of the country. Both of them are named after their founder's last name, it's just that one is named "[Last name] Bakery" and the other is "[Last name] Patisserie". I know patisseries are different from ordinary bakeries but considering the bakery also makes pastries it's very weird. I'm pretty sure they don't see each other as competitors though.
Upset to hear the displace for the sound fx badge. I like how it adds a little bit of silliness to fights. I don’t find it annoying as I honestly find it blends into the background
22:48 Correction on the multiplicative evasion calculations: with the 2 badges you mentioned, the game calculates the probability to get hit roughly as (1 - 0.3) * (1 - 0.1), which is 0.63, so you have roughly 37% evasion rate. Most games use this or similar calculations for stats with diminishing stacking, in Paper Mario's case it's roughly these percentages and not exactly these because as I understand the battles are coded with an RNG that goes up to 101 instead of 100.
Chugga didn’t you know that Luigi is a plant mom? Look at that beautiful indoor vine! Took some hard work for sure. Bet he had to stay home from adventures to achieve its length
My best guesses for the "useless" badge are: Slow Go - You can always just hold the stick less to walk slower, but this might be helpful for young kids or players with a disability. (Not sure if this one "counts.") Triple Dip - At best, maybe in the Huff N Puff or final Bowser fight, you might want to use a healing item and a Shooting Star or Repel Gel, but I'm really struggling to see how 3 items in one turn would be useful, especially for 5 FP and a bunch of BP. P-Down, D-Up - Not exactly "useless," but it is self-defeating, since generally, you're going to get more "damage prevention" merely by killing enemies faster, meaning they get fewer turns to hit you. But I could see it being useful in fights with many trash mobs that take both Mario's and the partner's attack to kill. Dizzy Attack - It only makes the front enemy dizzy for 1 turn, meaning it's only really useful in fights with more than one enemy, and it's luck-based.
Man it's funny to think that for me the first time I saw the Koopa Bros from the old Super Mario Bros. Z animation, I kinda wish the quartet was more commonly used outside this game. Always appreciate a good TMNT reference.
I don't know why, but I actually like this games art style more than the other games. It just kinda feels more like a storybook I guess, as opposed to the more videogame feel the others have.
My best guesses for 'badge he couldn't find a practical use for' would be Fire Shield, Refund, and Runaway Pay. Fire Shield because the thing it's best for is letting you jump on fiery enemies (but the Ice Power badge obtained earlier in the game does the same thing for the same BP cost), Refund gives you coins when you use an item in battle equal to 75% of that item's selling price (money isn't the hardest thing in the game to come by), and Runaway Pay because it gives you the Star Points of any enemies you beat in a battle after running away. I lean most strongly towards Runaway Pay being the useless one because Fire Shield does also reduce damage from fire attacks (an effect that Ice Power would only have in Thousand Year Door) and, in the case of Refund, some of the late game items can sell for an awful lot (and there might be synergy with other money-making badges, but I don't know for sure). Edit: Another option could be the Slow Go badge, for people who are really good at sneaking manually, since what it does is stop you from running, and thus basically forcing you to operate in stealth mode (at least it's free to equip).
Already just episode 4 and I understand completely why you loved the first three so much. As I guy who started with.....'sigh'......Sticker Star and liked it, I always had a hard time liking the first three games, even when I watched your LP of TTYD. Now I'm really getting a full understanding.
As I knew all along, Chuggaconroy is not a human but instead a being of pure gaming energy. To guide us gamers to the best games of the past, and showing us every bit of detail a game has and has been doing this for 400 years.
Just after The Runaway Guys play Turtles in Time, we meet the Mushroom Kingdom’s answer to the Ninja Turtles: the Koopa Bros. What timing, lol I also find it funny how Kammy mirrors what Goombario said about Mario, telling Bowser he could win with one hand, er, claw behind his back. And here we are at Toad Town. Don’t you just love a cozy hub between levels? I mean, as cozy as it can be with a big crater where Peach’s Castle used to be… Shooting Star Summit is ethereally gorgeous, and the meeting with the Star Spirits is very sobering, as we see just how much is at stake with Bowser holding the Star Rod…
Placing my guess for the one badge no use was found for: Either Slow Go or Runaway Pay. Slow Go is obsoleted by just not tilting your stick all the way, and Runaway Pay is a consolation prize at best for needing to run. Only thing I could think of that you may just want to bank star points is an amayzee dayzee, but even then if you kill the amayzee dayzee, you have to really screw up to lose the fight.
First of all, I love your lets plays and how thorough you are with your attention to detail. Second of all, there is NO WAY you are 4 decades old.... you dont look a day over 30! Anywho, this game brings back such good memories, so happy to see you doing a lets play of this timeless classic 😊

Only Goombario, Partner 2, Partner 3, and Partner 4 have Dialogue.

That's one thing I love about Video Games.
Revisit a game you played even just 2 months ago and you can realize how much you've grown.
You will find that you use different tactics, think differently, make smarter plays, and even do things that, if you replayed it immediately, you would not think to do.
You can truly see that you've grown when you play a game again after a long time of not playing it.
well said! and very true :]
I wonder if Chuggaaconroy will play games like Ori and Klonoa in the future?
Tbh a thing I like about this new playthrough is you are able to let the episodes breathe more because of no time limit
Can go at a steadier pace and all that
Not needing to rush
It certainly felt new to how I play this game! I would never be able to stop like that and just talk in days of old.

It also means he will finally make up for the Paper Mario bonus videos he never got back to. If he decided for some reason to redo Thousand-Year Door, he would actually get to cover the Luigi Waffle kingdom side adventures and we would finally get a official video of his fight with Bonetail instead of it being lost to time from a live stream that never got reuploaded (as far as I know)

I love that these wizards became recurring characters in the Paper Mario series, even if every incarnation of them is completely different. It helps give a sense of continuity to the trilogy.

@@chugga There's more than one FX badge. Which one did you not find a use for?
The star spirit theme is definitely one that soothes as well as the one in shooting star summit. For N64 that whole area is just top notch
My father loves this song so much that he downloaded it on his phone and uses it to wake up.
Because they're NINJAS!
I'm thinking the Dodge Master badge tbh. It widens the timing for Action Commands, but those are really easy to pull off with just a little bit of practice.
@@ScootsLounge He'll probably show it off increasing the Power Bounce auto-cap. Though actually managing that will probably take several attempts.
One of my favorite things in toad town is that couple that says that they only care about each other and that they’re both “wicked toads”
I happen to agree. Toad Town in this game is probably the most iconic the area has ever been, even more so than it’s iterations in PiT, BIS and TOK.
Super Mario RPG has the Power...oops, I mean Axem Rangers, so I guess the follow up would be TMNT.
Merlow tells you how much it will cost to equip though in his explanation before you buy it?
Or did I misread that part when he bought a badge
@@omega13whitelucario95 Sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant in the menu when you’re just perusing through the badges and not made a choice. Also being able to see what the effect does without getting the spiel from Merlow would be nice, similar to how the Badge shops do it.

Wow, I had no idea Emile could sound like such a mommy. That Merluvlee voice was incredible!

I'm going to guess the badge with no use, is Runaway Pay.
I can't see a scenario where you want to run from a fight and keep star points. It'd probably be just as easy to finish the fight. You could use it to refight an enemy and farm star points, but you can also just go 2 screens over to respawn them.
That’s two Paper Mario games the castle was taken. This game and Origami King. Truly come full circle.
That moment where the Star Spirits talk to Mario will stay with me forever,
It really tells that you're about to start one of Mario's Greatest Adventures, The Star Spirits are like the Gods of Mario's World and each one of them is trapped on a distant Corner of the Planet, Mario has to venture to each of these far off locations and Break the Curses that bind them to set them free and once they all gather they will take Mario into the Sky to fight Bowser Powered up by the Very Source of all the Gods' Power.
I love me some variety and knowing that all badges are being used makes a series I was already excited for even more exciting!
You can read those signs? Wow, I’m learning new stuff with each episode. This is fantastic.
Upset to hear the displace for the sound fx badge. I like how it adds a little bit of silliness to fights. I don’t find it annoying as I honestly find it blends into the background
I always collect all 5.
With that announcement about badges, I'm even more interested that I already was. Every LP really is special around here
@14:48
Chuggaaconroy: He Stole Waluigi's Hat, MAN!
I was looking for this comment about the evasion stacking, I was fairly confident he was incorrect.
I’m guessing Runaway Pay is the single badge he can’t find a use for. Which, I couldn’t think of any way to meaningfully use that either, so fair.
I am already in love with this series ❤️
Man… kudos to you for showing off this game’s lovely OST.
I can't believe that I've had this game for 13 years and never knew about the whole "press Z to read previous parts of messages" thing!
Chugga didn’t you know that Luigi is a plant mom? Look at that beautiful indoor vine! Took some hard work for sure. Bet he had to stay home from adventures to achieve its length
People are paying attention to Chuggaa being 400 years old, but not about playing Paper Mario all 400 years.
Chugga is a time traveler, obviously
@@yokai59loi36 Chuggaa's an entity outside of space and time that speaks to us through the host Emile.
My best guesses for the "useless" badge are:
Slow Go - You can always just hold the stick less to walk slower, but this might be helpful for young kids or players with a disability. (Not sure if this one "counts.")
Triple Dip - At best, maybe in the Huff N Puff or final Bowser fight, you might want to use a healing item and a Shooting Star or Repel Gel, but I'm really struggling to see how 3 items in one turn would be useful, especially for 5 FP and a bunch of BP.
I know. It happened to me too. I also knew about the Axem rangers before playing Super Mario RPG.
ah Mario Bros Z, what a great piece of new grounds history
How fitting...Koopa Bros. debut while TRG is playing Turtles in Time.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
I don't know why, but I actually like this games art style more than the other games. It just kinda feels more like a storybook I guess, as opposed to the more videogame feel the others have.
Trust me, it’s not our issue when you do the amazing toad voice
Kinda hoping Emile ends at least one of these videos with, ‘Subscribe to some of my videos, Big Yellow button, give me five star reviews…..’
I think it'd be funnier if he changes the outro to match the new system: Big RED button, give a thumbs up...
None of the comments seem to acknowledging the most important part of this video:
THE RETURN OF THE PICKLE LIPS FISH CHEST
If theres anything from these LPs that I enjoy so much. it has to be Chugga's Narrating, he's so dang good at it!
Seeing the Koopa Bros. origin is amazing! Considering I encountered them first in Super Mario Bros. Z.
For me it was the other way round. Sane for Axem rangers! I love them either way.
Well to quote the Chuggaaconroy of old “ohhhhh… I didn’t read.”
Just after The Runaway Guys play Turtles in Time, we meet the Mushroom Kingdom’s answer to the Ninja Turtles: the Koopa Bros. What timing, lol
I also find it funny how Kammy mirrors what Goombario said about Mario, telling Bowser he could win with one hand, er, claw behind his back.
And here we are at Toad Town. Don’t you just love a cozy hub between levels? I mean, as cozy as it can be with a big crater where Peach’s Castle used to be…
Shooting Star Summit is ethereally gorgeous, and the meeting with the Star Spirits is very sobering, as we see just how much is at stake with Bowser holding the Star Rod…
Ayyyyy fancy seeing you here bud
@@ECStarProductions Hey there! =)
Emile gave merluvlee the best voice I have ever heard from him
First of all, I love your lets plays and how thorough you are with your attention to detail. Second of all, there is NO WAY you are 4 decades old.... you dont look a day over 30!
Anywho, this game brings back such good memories, so happy to see you doing a lets play of this timeless classic 😊

This was my first walk-through that I ever watched 14 years ago, started me on my content creation consumption. This is MAJORLY nostalgic for me, and I can't wait to watch more!
I'll never forget the first time I got to shooting star summit I knew there and then I was in for an incredible experience.
I agree the music and look for the area is just incredible
10:04 Wow. I don't think I ever realized he said that. Just wow, that poor girl.
23:00 I do believe this would grant a 37% miss chance due to 10% of the remaining 70% chance being taken off
The part where they hype up the Koopa Bros.' power by putting them offscreen for 5 seconds, shining a light, and having everyone else ooh and ahh at length, has been seared into my mind ever since, um... I saw it in Chuggaa's last playing (not literally when he first uploaded it, but still a long time ago).
You've been alive for four centuries that's impressive Emile! how have you managed this incredible feat!?
Shooting star summit is legit the best Mario track ever made, truly transcends video games.
