Just assembled this exact same grill and absolutely agree with the comments from these guys. One safety concern that Monument needs to look into. The bottom edges of the side shelves are RAZOR 🪒 SHARP. Coming from a Weber with similar side shelves, they rounded up ⬆️ the edges which prevents injuries.
Just picked up a Mesa 405BZ. Try installing the rack for the grease pan the other direction and take it out the back of the grill instead of the front.
I have been researched new grills to try something other than Weber (feel like quality is down with them but price either up or steady) and the 415BZ is what we decided on. Great to hear you all like this and it does look to be an impressive grill for price point. As for grease trap just cut screws shorter or buy shorter ones…problem solved.
I really like the grease management system in my Mesa 300. I don't cook huge volumes of food, so am not fearful of it overflowing. Monument has a great selection of grills👍
Got my monument grill 2 years ago i still love cooking on it great grill i hate the grease trap though as well and i have blue LED light knobs on mine surprised they still work to this day
He mentions several times that the grates are plain cast iron, and not ceramic. They are porcelain enamel coated on this model, not plain. They do not need to be seasoned and treated like a cast iron skillet. You do however have to be careful with them, especially not using a wire brush to clean them.
I bought that little pot. made hard boiled eggs and then the same potatoes. nice to see tools that others use that work. You get a pass from me on advertising.
@@chaos2277 Was just looking at the same grill with the broil in the center at Lowe’s. We went to dinner and I was doing some research into this grill and came across this video. Totally thinking about buying it now. Would you highly recommend this grill chaos?
The one at Lowe’s is a 405 BZ, keep in mind the griddle plate and rotisserie kit 97222 WILL NOT fit the grill from Lowe’s because it’s an exclusive and made for Lowe’s at a price and this grill is a 415 BZ, the rotisserie and griddle plate will fit. The reason I know is I just took back the 405 BZ from Lowe’s. And ordered the 415 BZ. If all you’re going to do is grill and not do any griddle or rotisserie, then the 405 BZ is nice grill at the price point.
Sorry fellas. Didn’t realize the models were different. The 35633 is still on Lowe’s site as well, on sale for another week I think. That does accommodate the pizza stone, circular diamond grid, etc. and has the dedicated searing burner on the left side (instead of inside the firebox like the 415bz).
@@victorvek5227 It is not easily removable on this particular model. To remove it requires quite a bit of hood disassembly. It would not be worth the work.
This looks like a awesome grill fellas , chicken wings looked delicious! Can’t wait for future cooks, cheers fellas 🍻

I just got one of these during a Memorial Day weekend sale!
$399!
Looking forward to using it!

I bought the Dezin pot for our rv! Used it tonight to make boiled eggs. Super quick!

I've had a Monument grill for a few years. They make a nice, sturdy unit.
Isn't the grease tray supposed to be taken out from the back where you slide it out instead of lifting it over the part that holds it in?
Can I get a link to Nate's bird-poop jacket merch? Sorry if this has already been asked. ;)
Summer is coming! Greetings from Norway

Can't you slide the grease pan out to the left or right so you won't have to lift it? Thanks for the review!
Just cut screws shorter?
How is the model with infrared burners?
Great video guys. We just put out a video on our new Mesa Series. Wings looked good!
Can this one convert to natural gas?
How'd the clean up go?

I put tin foil down on it.. i learned from a fellow camper. easy CLEANUP!
Where do you get that..??I only see aluminum foil…lol
You guys should do another livestream!
Nice! Thank you for sharing.
New subscriber from BRANTFORD ONTARIO. I'm definitely looking into one of these. 🥂
The broil zone would be great on steaks out of the sous vide!
This is $65 cheaper at Lowe’s, for anyone looking to save a few extra bucks.
Just got one from Lowe's, $399.00 bucks, well worth it! The only difference is, the broil zone is in the center and not to the right.

The model that's cheaper is not this one......this one is $475 everywhere!

The grease catcher comes out of the back...not the front
Grill marks on steaks?
You're discount code doesn't work. Purchased it anyway.. but it would've been nice to save a few bucks.
Is the window going to get all black after a while?
It is removable and easy to clean, honestly.

Nice truck!
I loved that pot 💪🏻❤️👍✌️
The grease pan slides out the back.
Only if you put it together backwards.
Hey Jeff can you stand straight at the camera so we can see you? Looks like a stick talking to us. Chris your old! I missed you guys!
Is that bird shit on his left sleeve?
'Promo sm' 😏
Nate, did a bird take a hot dook splatter squirt on your jacket? 😂
“Solid construction” it’s a video shake it and show us how solid. You guys are fakes.
Nate is wearing the coat that Chris famously called the bird shit coat. 😅😅😂
