Isaac sold me a Scott Spark RC Team (same one as in the video) over the phone a few months ago. At least I think it was Isaac. Either way, I upgraded the bike with full SRAM X01 AXS, carbon wheels with Vesper hubs, and a few other choice parts. It's my first full suspension bike in 9 years and I'm blown away by how capable it is. PRs for days every time I put a leg over it.
Also, big ups to Contender for the awesome customer service through the whole experience. The first shop to not give me the run around on my (frustratingly long) hunt for an RC.
I have the regular Scott Spark 910. I got a Fox 34 Factory step cast for it in 120 so I could change it out with the 130 fork that comes on it when I do xc racing or riding in general. So it's my two bikes in one solution. I love it. My favorite bike I've ever had. The Berd wheelset I put on it is unreal.
I have 2021 Oiz tr large
21 lbs 11oz came with Dt Swiss xrc 1200 spline wheels fast bike.
Hard to beat oiz
I have a Blur Tr and love it.
I have the Blur TR. Love it, is amazing.
A fantastic bike!
I would add to this list the specialized epic evo
I like the 🎅z trail, the other two are good to catch the Utabus to go to work.
Definitely a fun choice.
Hi guys! I have a question about these two bikes! Or rather, about size.
I am 179 cm and I used Oiz in size L (M was too short reach). Large was very comfortable on climbs, but a bit too progressive on downhill sections (I'm not an enduro champion).
This season I plan to test the Spark RC. The goals : downcountry workouts and some XCM, sometimes simply enduro. What size of this bike should I choose? Spark L calculations are similar to OIZ L, but I have the impression that the seat tube will be too far from the handlebar.
Can you somehow compare what these bikes look like 1:1 in the same sizes? Any proportions or suggestions?
thanks!
I would recommend the Large. I am 176cm tall and have always ridden size MD bikes, but I bought a Spark in August and had to go for the large. The reach is pretty short on the spark, so to get my position I would have had to use the 90mm -20º Fraser Bar. I would also check out geometrygeeks.bike/ they're really useful to compare geometry of lots of bikes.
Please could you weight a Oiz in Medium size, M-Pro or M10 ?
Thanks for the help
We do not have a medium on hand right now, but a large M-Pro is 24.5 lbs without pedals.
@@ContenderBicycles thanks! And to compare the m10 Xt drivetrain in M or L?
@@gabrielmarias972 Unfortunately I do not have one of those on hand at the moment, I will weigh it as soon as I see another.
Kona Hei Hei CR/DL all day
Headset cable routing seems like a maintenance nightmare, no thanks!
It's intimidating but with the designs they are using once you have done it a couple times it's just as easy.
