- Lisa Marie Presley, a singer, songwriter and the daughter of Elvis Presley, was remembered during a funeral service Sunday as a loving mother and an “old soul” who endured tragedy but persevered as a dedicated protector of her father's legacy as a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer and pop icon.
More than a thousand people gathered on the front lawn of Graceland on a gray, chilly Memphis morning to mourn the death and remember the life of Lisa Marie Presley, who died Jan, 12 after she was taken to a hospital in California.

I dont think she wanted to miss the awards show. I do agree though she looked unwell but you can't blame him for that or not being a good manager. This man was very close to her dad, had been there when she was born.
I lost it when Riley's husband read the letter from Riley to her mom. He read it so eloquently . It was absolutely beautiful. I hope the love of the baby helps her get thru her grief.
As a grieving mother myself to my only 17 year old son and 3 surviving daughters, I firmly believe Lisa Marie died of a broken heart. Lisa was in her darkest days as a grieving Angel Mom. End of story!
@@denisemarie6029 I agree. I lost my 22 yr old grandson who my wife & I raised to a shooting in 2017. It's the worst pain we've ever had or will have. Every day is a struggle thru grief and it doesnt end.

Sundays ago. Saturday before her daddy’s birthday she sat outside by her son and Daddy’s grave, reflecting how there is a space for her! So heartbreaking that five days later she was gone! 😢😢😢 hurts to know she is gone so soon after her last visit to Graceland. 😢Poor Lisa looked so frail and unwell at Graceland and at the Globes. She had just started venturing outside her home since her sons death … and now this 😢

Yes, it was a beautiful service. It was very generous of the family allowed it to be live-streamed. I watched the whole thing live, I cried after the Blackwood Quartet sang since I’d heard that the
original members of the group sang at Elvis’ funeral. Elvis’ funeral was HUGE, 80,000 people showed up! The service itself was not televised. You can watch footage of it on UA-cam. That was an unbelievable thing to watch on tv 📺. RIP

Saw LM pull into Graceland in a long white cadillac limo when we visited there in 1978. She was so small riding in the backseat. Looked just like her dad, even then.

I remember When Lisa Marie was born because my daughter was born November 1st 1967 and Lisa was born February 1st 1968 so this has hit me hard 💔. I was and still am a Elvis and Pricilla fan but having our daughters born a few months apart was such a great experience plus my daughter grew up a Elvis fan . But the missing of the person who is gone lingers on. You never forget the ones you lose to death, but you do manage to move on, because the precious memories that you have for always never go away from your heart or mind. Those closest to Lisa Marie, and those that loved her deeply, will always have their special memories of her to keep. When a person dies that you love, surely, you do grieve their passing for a long time to come. However, one can find comfort, as well smiles about their special someone just by looking to the dear memories of him or her. I had no idea that Riley was pregnant! So Lisa Marie passed away right before meeting her 1st grandchild...!?!?!
Gladys didn't get to meet Lisa Marie.... And Elvis didn't get to meet Riley .... And now Lisa Marie doesn't get to meet her grandchildren.
Things just seem to be so bad..... But I'm praying that this baby will help, although nothing can stop the heartache of loss.
Intergenerational trauma
The child was born sometime last year and is at least several months old already, so there's no reason to presume that Lisa had never met her grandchild.
Riley was photographed over the weekend arriving in Memphis carrying a baby as well.
In fact, another musician friend of hers just commented that he had received a text from Lisa inviting him to Thanksgiving dinner in November and that she mentioned Riley and "the baby" being part of it.
They all appear to have just kept it very private, and who can blame them?
No. The baby is already here. She looks to be 3- 4 months old. There are picture of Riley holding her.
