The memorial was tearfully touching and the backdrop of Graceland was breathtaking and appropriate. It's her childhood home and her final resting place. How many people in the world can say that? Lisa was an unique rarity of a human and the offspring of poverty stricken kid turned entertainment royalty. She never had it easy as some might think. She had the biggest shoes in history to try and fill. Nobody could have handled that enormous pressure put on their shoulders that was placed on Lisa's. But she was loved and adored because of that royalty but also because of her heart and loyalty to the fans over the last few decades. That love was shown by the mourners who stood in line for hours in the cold January rain. It is the end of an era and like Elvis died a second time. RIP, Yisa.⚘️

It terrifies me, the thought of losing one of my children. I thought being widowed was tough, and it is. My husband was young and died suddenly and unexpectedly. I've struggled to keep going, for my babies, but wow, I don't know, and DON'T want to know how one garners the strength to bury a child. It's not right, it's not the order of things. But life isn't fair. My heart sincerely goes out to anyone reading this that has lost a child 😔💖🙏💕
It was a beautiful service. Lisa was an icon for Gen Xers. Billy Corgan, Alanis Morrisette, and Axl Rose performed those songs fitting of a Gen Xer icon! Lights Out was my favorite Lisa Marie song! It conveyed every emotion Gen Xers feel. She'll never be forgotten.
My heart goes out to Riley & the girls. I can't even begin to imagine how Priscilla is feeling😔 Losing a child is the hardest thing you could ever go through. That's the pain Lisa Marie was dealing with every single day of her life. She had been unable to recover from her son's death💔 Grief had taken its toll. May she finally be at peace. I absolutely loved Alanis Morissette's performance, it actually made me cry. I think it was very gracious of the Presley family to allow cameras and fans to witness this service. I'm heartbroken for her beautiful daughters, and Priscilla. I still can't believe Lisa Marie is gone, yet somehow I'm also not surprised. Her pain from losing her son was palpable. I think she tried to carry on, for the sake of her girls, but it was clearly more than she could handle. I don't say this to pass judgement, Lisa Marie was obviously a grown woman able to make her own choices. But it was very evident she wasn't "well" at the Golden Globes, so I wish she hadn't been left alone...anyway, all that aside, I hope she is at peace now with her father and son. RIP, LMP 🙏💕😔
You are so right, first of all it was very gracious of them and Alanis' performance was beautiful.. but yes also it is too bad she was left alone. What's done is done but too bad :( I have a chronic illness so I have a lot of empathy for physical ailments and when I watched the Golden Globes I had chills up my spine and a pit in my stomach seeing her in that shape. It was a huge disaster waiting to happen, I could tell. She was super frail.
@@dreamerqueennotunderthemachine well, since we are speaking openly and honest here, I was widowed young. It was sudden and unexpected. Shortly before my husband died, I had a routine surgery that "went wrong" - the surgeon accidentally cut my bile duct in half. I had to have several corrective surgeries and a bile drain on the outside of my abdomen. The doctors knew I was in a lot of pain and without hesitation I was given a lot of pain pills. Fast forward to me finding my husband dead on Christmas Eve, I had to do CPR for 10 minutes - that itself was extremely traumatic. I couldn't get the image of how he looked, his eyes were open but cloudy, just staring lifeless. I can't explain it, but it haunts me to this day! I began to "self medicate" with alcohol, pain pills, and Xanax. I shouldn't be alive, but here I am. I'm now in recovery but I will forever be an addict. When I saw Lisa Marie at the Golden Globes I saw myself. It's probably not right to speculate, but to me, from my own experiences, she was hung over and blitzed out on opiates and benzos. People don't realize that when you take more pain pills than prescribed, you get a feeling of euphoria and energy! When I was deep in my active addiction, I would take the opiates during the day to counter act the sedation of the Xanax and hangovers. I was unsteady on my feet, frail, had difficulty speaking, and my eyes looked loopy AF! It is my opinion that LM accidentally overdosed. You think you know your limit...all it takes is one pill or one shot too many and you just stop breathing. As soon as TMZ broke the news of her having cardiac arrest, my heart sank. I knew that if she'd been without oxygen for more than a few minutes she was likely brain dead. I don't think she would have purposely taken her life, but when you're in the dark place of depression and addiction, you know the risks but do it anyway 😔 I apologize for the loooonnnnggg comment. I think I needed to vent lol. I hope you are well, Scarlit, sending love and light your way 💗

I can't even imagine how the family is feeling right now, because I am devastated and I never even knew her! I bawled so much at her beautiful memorial, my eyes haven't gone back to normal 24hrs later. She had such an impact on my life, she leaves a great legacy with her girls, her work and her music. I loved her dearly for her irreverent sense of humour and authenticity, she was an original, as Jerry said ,a girl named Memphis.

This so sad an end to Elvis his baby he left behind. She’s all grown up .And, although her daddy‘s shoes were pretty big for her to fill in I think she did a great job she followed her heart❤ and still with todays Technology was able to sing along side with her Dad and was able to harmonized together so well she never tried too out do her Dad . She was always respectful and humble to be singing alongside her dad she never tried to take the glamor away from him I believe she sounded her best when she would sing along him. The memorial was tearfully touching and the backdrop of Graceland was breathtaking and appropriate. It's her childhood home and her final resting place. How many people in the world can say that? Lisa was an unique rarity of a human and the offspring of poverty stricken kid turned entertainment royalty. She never had it easy as some might think. She had the biggest shoes in history to try and fill. Nobody could have handled that enormous pressure put on their shoulders that was placed on Lisa's. But she was loved and adored because of that royalty but also because of her heart and loyalty to the fans over the last few decades. That love was shown by the mourners who stood in line for hours in the cold January rain. It is the end of an era and like Elvis died a second time. RIP, Yisa.⚘️

It terrifies me, the thought of losing one of my children. I thought being widowed was tough, and it is. My husband was young and died suddenly and unexpectedly. I've struggled to keep going, for my babies, but wow, I don't know, and DON'T want to know how one garners the strength to bury a child. It's not right, it's not the order of things. But life isn't fair. My heart sincerely goes out to anyone reading this that has lost a child 😔💖🙏💕

I absolutely loved Alanis Morissette's performance, it actually made me cry. I think it was very gracious of the Presley family to allow cameras and fans to witness this service. I'm heartbroken for her beautiful daughters, and Priscilla. I still can't believe Lisa Marie is gone, yet somehow I'm also not surprised. Her pain from losing her son was palpable. I think she tried to carry on, for the sake of her girls, but it was clearly more than she could handle. I don't say this to pass judgement, Lisa Marie was obviously a grown woman able to make her own choices. But it was very evident she wasn't "well" at the Golden Globes, so I wish she hadn't been left alone...anyway, all that aside, I hope she is at peace now with her father and son. RIP, LMP 🙏💕😔
You are so right, first of all it was very gracious of them and Alanis' performance was beautiful.. but yes also it is too bad she was left alone. What's done is done but too bad :( I have a chronic illness so I have a lot of empathy for physical ailments and when I watched the Golden Globes I had chills up my spine and a pit in my stomach seeing her in that shape. It was a huge disaster waiting to happen, I could tell. She was super frail.
@@dreamerqueennotunderthemachine well, since we are speaking openly and honest here, I was widowed young. It was sudden and unexpected. Shortly before my husband died, I had a routine surgery that "went wrong" - the surgeon accidentally cut my bile duct in half. I had to have several corrective surgeries and a bile drain on the outside of my abdomen. The doctors knew I was in a lot of pain and without hesitation I was given a lot of pain pills. Fast forward to me finding my husband dead on Christmas Eve, I had to do CPR for 10 minutes - that itself was extremely traumatic. I couldn't get the image of how he looked, his eyes were open but cloudy, just staring lifeless. I can't explain it, but it haunts me to this day! I began to "self medicate" with alcohol, pain pills, and Xanax. I shouldn't be alive, but here I am. I'm now in recovery but I will forever be an addict. When I saw Lisa Marie at the Golden Globes I saw myself. It's probably not right to speculate, but to me, from my own experiences, she was hung over and blitzed out on opiates and benzos. People don't realize that when you take more pain pills than prescribed, you get a feeling of euphoria and energy! When I was deep in my active addiction, I would take the opiates during the day to counter act the sedation of the Xanax and hangovers. I was unsteady on my feet, frail, had difficulty speaking, and my eyes looked loopy AF! It is my opinion that LM accidentally overdosed. You think you know your limit...all it takes is one pill or one shot too many and you just stop breathing. As soon as TMZ broke the news of her having cardiac arrest, my heart sank. I knew that if she'd been without oxygen for more than a few minutes she was likely brain dead. I don't think she would have purposely taken her life, but when you're in the dark place of depression and addiction, you know the risks but do it anyway 😔 I apologize for the loooonnnnggg comment. I think I needed to vent lol. I hope you are well, Scarlit, sending love and light your way 💗

I can't even imagine how the family is feeling right now, because I am devastated and I never even knew her! I bawled so much at her beautiful memorial, my eyes haven't gone back to normal 24hrs later. She had such an impact on my life, she leaves a great legacy with her girls, her work and her music. I loved her dearly for her irreverent sense of humour and authenticity, she was an original, as Jerry said ,a girl named Memphis.

This so sad an end to Elvis his baby he left behind. She’s all grown up .And, although her daddy‘s shoes were pretty big for her to fill in I think she did a great job she followed her heart❤ and still with todays Technology was able to sing along side with her Dad and was able to harmonized together so well she never tried too out do her Dad . She was always respectful and humble to be singing alongside her dad she never tried to take the glamor away from him I believe she sounded her best when she would sing along him. Lisa Marie remember her father very well and that makes a difference.

She love him and as a child I always saw sad eyes on her. It must of been hard seeing her Dad Dead on the floor of the home she grew up in.
Although I never got too me her my heart went out for her when she lost her only son tow years ago.
I know that feeling very well I lost my 38 year old daughter a year ago . Its an awful thing too go through a mother should should never have too buried their child . It’s not natural . I would know its so heart breaking losing a child . Knowing wether the rest of your life will be short or long it is that disconnection knowing you can no longer talk to them.
