The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. It's actually surprising how much quieter Sabalenka sounds courtside. Must be something about the TV mics and the pitch they pick up. A lot of the men are much louder than it would appear as well.
I think this is her best performance in the tournament so far, 👏 she is playing very aggressive and focused. If she continues like that she could easily win the US Open .
She is fantastic, love her power and accuracy.
If Sabalenka continues to play at this level she will win the tournament.
But she always choke in the big moments.

No woman can play men. Serena couldn’t and she was stronger than Sabalenka. Men and women are different.
Sabalenka murders that ball. She must have had a terrible day in the semi-final to do so poorly in the first set and half of the second, but glad she turned it around. Hope she wins!
kasatkina seemed to be only trying to keep the ball in play, and she was rewarded for this by being steamrolled by the brutish playing style of sabalenka. kasat just had no answer to the brute force playing of saba, who was given gift after gift. except for a few games here and there, this was a complete embarrassment!
Sabalenka is fierce, hope Coco plays her last , her return game is on point . Thankfully she's the top of the tennis world, with play like that. If Coco wins it will not be fans , it's a pure statement from Coco 💯

Alycia Parks has the same issue with serving as Sabalenka. They don't seem to have a second serve they can just kick in at a slower speed. If they do have that serve they never elect to use it, which is strange. As double faults are costly. Better get the ball in and have some chance at winning the point

If she would make less noise, or a woman who is playing against her would play with ear plugs... then Sabalenka would not win as easy as she does right now. Djokovitsch had a warning in one of his games coz of too much noise after hitting the ball. So why can she make so much noise, even seconds after hitting the ball? I dont understand

Kasatkinas style is so annoying. She gets crushed and changes.... Uh exactly nothing
I've seen her try a number of different tactics against Sabalenka in some of their prior matches including hitting deep through the middle to reduce potential angles, using more slices and drop shots, mixing in a lot more high top spins and sneaking into net more. NOTHING has worked.
It's simply a terrible matchup for her. Sabalenka's game style is taylor made to effectively attack Kasatkina's weak second serve and lack of foot speed.
