I first saw Jimmy Lafave at The Kate Wolf Festival...just another folk/roots music festival set up with a lot of hard work from people who love his and other music that speaks from the heart and soul... be the songs sad, happy, funny, danceable, and spiritually uplifting. Another terrific musical rendition of a good song by Jimmy Lafave. I think great music transcends any politics anywhere in the world!
One of my top bucket list items was to attend a concert with Jimmy, Rad and John together. Now, sadly, that can never be. It is a huge loss to music, really, and my heart grieves at the loss of Jimmy.
I LOVE this song and the bands instruments are incredible. The accordion player, chello player and guitar player are SO into the music. Along with Jimmys beautiful voice, wow so incredibly beautiful 🎵🎶🎵❤
These guys are superb musicians, the guitar player squeezes every last delicious drop of emotion from his instrument, I never liked the accordion till I heard it played like that, and Jimmy´s singing is sublime. Wonderful.
Bee-u-tee-full ... Mystical...Wonderful...{I've seen Dylan and love the man. But...WOW...this transcended the Transcend-er. Thank You MusicFog, thank you very much...
Jimmy LaFave - Guitar and Vocals, John Inmon - Lead Guitar, Radislov Lorkovic' (Rad) - Accordian, Glenn Schuetz - Electric Bass. Wonderfully artistic musicians all. This is just a small example of their captivating talent. If you can catch them all together, they put on a show that is not to be missed.
Your birthday nears & I miss you like crazy Mark. Gonna go see Jimmy soon, how do I stop the tears when I hear a song and think of you?? RIP darlin'....
What an awesome band of players! Jimmy's cover of this Dylan song is one of the best I've heard.Yea he puts his own spin on it but for my taste ...well done.
Really nice. The musicians are truly fantastic. I had met Radislov “Rad” Lorkovic a few times at various venues. I remember hanging out at the Philadelphia Folk Fest and also with Richard Shindell in the early nineties, He has backed up several great artists and has done pretty darn good solo work as well with his own recordings. This performance is 5 star. Great job!
I absolutely agree. This is by far the best cover of one of my favourite Dylan's songs. Simple and yet soulful, the perfect combination. Would like to meet Jimmy and his mates here in Italy. Thanks
Jimmy LaFave performing with his band members: John Inmon (Lead Guitar), Radislov “Rad” Lorkovic (Accordian), Glenn Schuetz (Electric Bass). Recorded for MusicFog on the MusicFog bus at Folk Alliance 2009. Along with The Band, Tim O’Brien, The Byrds, Leon Russell, and Barb Jungr, Stillwater, OK native Jimmy LaFave is an extraordinarily sensitive and original interpreter of Bob Dylan’s songbook. He also recorded “Buckets of Rain” for his 2009 release, “Road Novel”.
This song highlights the tremendous talents of John Inmon, and I think this is one of his best. "Hideaway Girl," on the other hand, shows off the equally tremendous talents of Radoslav on that accordion.
Really, REALLY like this so tasty, tasty arrangement of one of my favorite Dylan songs. This is so faithful and yet different and that is a delight to find.
Jimmy you're going to be in St. Pete Florida Saturday night for 2 shows and they're both sold out. Seems like folks around St. Pete know good music..Keep rollin Jimmy
Except I think it's "I like the way you LOVE me strong and slow." Correct me if I'm wrong. It is a wonderful song, and for the most part, I love Jimmy's rendition. But I think he takes a little too much license with the lyrics as well as the order of the verses.
The voice of an angel.
RIP Jimmy LaFave...Thanks for the music forever in our hearts
From Italy we remember him forever,
His voice his melodies will always remain in our hearts.
This could easily be the most beautiful lead guitar part i've ever heard in a rock 'n roll song.
My thoughts exactly!!

John is incredible!
Actually, this is a Bob Dylan song.

Great song - nice performance. Thanks MusicFog.
This set is a priceless thing.
RIP Buddy gone to soon. One of the greats!!
Leaves me breathless! This is so cool.
Jimmy Lafave has an interesting take on Bob Dylan. Some songs I like, some not so much; but I do like this man's style.

I became a Jimmy Lafave addict, but its good for me.
Truly a beauty........truly
Smooth as silk!
these guys are good
Yes, my thoughts exactly. TASTY! Brilliant arrangement, beautiful voice!
Rad is the Mozart of accordion!
Nothing less! He elevates that instrument to heights not previously attained.
Agreed.....SO beautiful 🎶🎵🎶
bellissimo.....Dolce e malinconico. As I like....
someone share the entire video ...please Jimmy's fan from italy
Beautiful rendition of a Bob Dylan ballad.
Road Novel was recorded in 1996 and released in 1997. I consider it his best album.
Amazing!! Love his cover tunez of Dylan....*****
ouvir Lafeve, faz muito bem para os ouvidos
Això és MÚSICA en MAJÚSCULES!!!!
This reminds me of the hole I've sensed in Dylan's music since he broke up with Sara in 1975 (?). What an amazing woman she must be.
From those who’ve loved Jimmy @ his band in the “Duck” in H-town

Do you really qualify musicians by their political perspectives?
Is came too late for him.
Sigh. He is already missed.
Wish they would enunciate more CLEARLY to understand WORDS!
Not a bad singer-songwriter...for a Socialist.
John G better to be. a socialist than a trump supporter
