Yes! Playable Athamaru and Awakened Animals are exactly what official pathfinder needed! I am a homebrewer and usually create many of my own ancestries, but it is really nice to also see this kind of official stuff. Thank you very much for this video!
Especially since the Athamaru art is so pretty in the monster and Tian xia books. Who needs mermaids, when I can be a beautiful fishman!

Howl of the Wild adds so much stuff that resonates with me heavily. So glad to see Minotaurs playable, I have an old 5E Minotaur I've waiting to make in PF2E. And I've always been huge on werecreature stuff so i'm really happy to see all of that too
Totally agree- the ancestries feel so familiar, but still super unique and interesting mechanically. That's a 2/2 for me.
@@KingOogaTonTon I just got into Pathfinder a few months back after all my friends switched over to it from 5E so this stuff came at a perfect time for me aswell!

I feel like if you're an Awakened Animal, you have to play a Bard at some point. If for no other reason, than to perform a Disney Musical number.
I'm really excited for this rulebook as I have such a fun image of a Minotaur Fighter who had one of their horns broken off, then fashioned it into a Greatpick to use with the lvl 5 feat granting 2H weapons reach.
I'm curious to see how they'll work as a Guardian class with the ability to intercept strikes more easily, but feel like their Large size making them easier to flank may already work well enough as a "passive" taunt

I love all of the ancestries in this book
I can't wait for one of my players to spec into some cavalry stuff but specifically want to ride on top of a centaur PC so they become their friend over multiple sessions.

One day later i got it.
Centaur construct innventor.
Turn the construct into a turret, put the turret on your back its now a mobile turret. And if you want it to be really silly put a small creature (prefer another PC), on top of your turret. Congraz now a triple stack mech fusion. GO GO GoLion.......

5 seconds in and I am already laughing after seeing how rulebooks were titled
I wonder if we can replace all the animal ancestries (catfolk, pugfolk, snakefolk, hyenafolk, foxfolk, lizardfolk, ratfolk, crowfolk, monkeyfolk, spiderfolk, birdfolk) with awakened animal?
What are the stats like on the mermaid chair? Item level and cost and whatnot. Can it work for awakened octopus?
Centaurs also believe in a balanced diet! Centaurios, fresh fruit, and clam juice are all a part of a balanced breakfast!

I’m batty about the awakened animal options.
Large races gonna be a game changer for the "cares about radius" classes like fighter, champ or kineticist.
And Minotaurs also get a boost to Strength and Constitution!

Always curious how often he gets close to 7 minutes and has to write a little more to squeeze just under, and how often he ends up trying to pare back things to fit under...
I am nearly always paring things back! Cutting things back can hurt, especially jokes, but I think it usually makes the video better.

A little horn minotaur riding a large centaur is too good to pass up. Or better yet a mixed ancestry for a Cenotaur
If you mix a centaur and a minotaur there is a chance you will end up with a HIDEOUS creature with the body of a human and the head of a human
Or a taurtaur!

Finally I be mermaid in a wheelchair.
for sure the large option is cool but for gms and to some extent players gonna get annoyed if go through an area where there is no 2x2 passage often like abomination vaults. have to take long way around or better carry spells or similar to shrink, warp, and such large person through tight corridor. or friend told me shove the large character into bag of holding, hopefully hold their breath long enough, get to other side and pull them out.
I’m pretty sure you can enter tight and smaller spaces, but it is considered difficult terrain.
So you can enter a 1 tile wide corridor as a centaur or a Minotaur but every tile takes 15 feet of movement instead of 5.
And there is always the Squeeze action when places get really small.
Okay, seriously, how often do you encounter situations where the room isn't big enough to accommodate a Large creature? The NPC's don't seem to have any trouble maneuvering through the dungeons, and I'm pretty sure there have been plenty of scenes of larger creatures managing to get inside of buildings around town. There's a difference between Large and Huge.
