It's still hot, but there are more moments where I can feel the arrival of autumn ☺️
This time I embroidered the autumn flower, RINDO (Gentian).
The name on the family crest is "SASARINDO" in Japanese.
This means "bamboo grass and gentian".
It is sometimes called SASARINDO because the leaves of gentian resemble SASA (bamboo grass).
It is popular as the emblem of Yoshitsune in the Kabuki play ``Kanjincho,'' and is also the symbol of the Genji clan.
Please enjoy the process until completion♪

    = Shizusa silk embroidery =
When I started working as a Japanese embroidery craftsman,
I had the opportunity to see a practice cloth embroidered by an old craftsman.
I remember that the detailed and careful embroidery was so beautiful that I couldn't believe it was practice.
After that, I also made embroidery practice a routine.
The design is based on "Japanese designs and pictures that have been loved for a long time".
I would be happy if everyone could sympathize with the cuteness of the designs and the excitement of crafts!

Another lovely mon embroidery. I've noticed you do not steam the works when you finish them. Is that because you are doing many small works on one length of silk? If so, will you steam it after you fill the fabric with embroidery works?

      Thank you!
Silk fabric shrinks when exposed to steam, so I do not use steam during the embroidery process. I dry iron it at the end because the water in the glue evaporates and it sticks to the threads better.
