No Mods, but all sorts of glitches and exploits... I honestly don't see the difference! So, let me tell you how to do it legally! Once you have your charisma and all that as high as you can get it, and you've moved as many settlers as you can to that particular settlement, you can get even more by doing a certain mission. Over and over again! Once the Automatron questline is done, there will be a radiant mission called "Rogue Robot". If you manage to save the settlerst these robots are attacking, they will ask you if you know of a good place to settle. And you know of just such a settlement. Rinse and repeat!
Thanks Reckless, I really appreciate that. I'm trying some new editing to see how it goes. I just wish I could fix my audio a little but right now feel like I have tried a fair few things. But I will still carry on and try. Thanks for the feedback.
You can also increase the settlers in a settlement by doing the radiant quest after completing atomitron quest line. You can recruit the settlers you are able to save. They don't count towards the population cap within a settlement.
That's absolutely right. I may make a quick guide showcasing this exact method. It's certainly worth sharing as I don't think it's very commonly known.
If you don’t like glitches, you can “legally” get your Charisma to a natural 12 without them. You’ll need to be in survival mode. With your Charisma at 10, lower Charisma below 10, then use the Special Book for +1CHR. Then get the CHR bobblehead. The bobblehead will work even if you have more than 10, so make sure you do these steps in order. Quick note, you can’t switch your game to survival mode more than once. Lastly, this video’s method works, but waiting around for settlers to appear, is crazy. You’ll need to be drinking and using constantly for an inordinate amount of time. A more concise method, while still slightly crazy, is first to make sure your other settlements have a bunch of settlers. You’re going to move them to the one you want to be huge. Go to a settlement, use all the “legal” methods outlined in this video to raise your Charisma up enough and move all the settlers to your big base. For example, if you have 10 settlers at your big base, and you want to move 10 to it, your CHR needs to be 20. Keep going to your other settlements and move their settlers. You’ll need to increase your “legal” methods each time. Eventually you’ll have moved up to 57 settlers, using this method. Less, if your big base already had some.
A very detailed comment, many thanks for sharing. It's really appreciated. I am sure anyone looking for some alternative steps will certainly benefit from your comment.
Just as a note: if you have played a lot of the game, as I have, and have a lot of keys etc in your inventory, this glitch may not work. PC player, but I don't like to use cheats, mods (except some cclub which was free/spending the free 1000 I've had for ages just sitting around from buying the game years ago) etc but decided to use this glitch once, since this is a first PT and I wasted my charisma bobblehead by picking it up before I had 10 char the legal way [My lad is currently level 69... dude] and it balances out by losing you time. Despite renaming my gun "you" (and no other quest items even starting with "y", let alone "you"), the "you're special" book did not appear at the back. What appeared was the key just above it in my inventory, the "Wicked Shipping Trailer Key" (and if you can find the word 'you' in that, well done?). I ended up just changing my char from 10 to 11 using the PC cheat. But if you have already done a _lot_ of questing, this may not work at all. Danse rather enjoyed the new look, though.
Your right, this can be an issue. I'll admit that I have not tried this glitch after 100 hours of playtime. At the latest usually do it after at most 10 hours or so and the 'you' does work on my end. There probably is a way, I'll look into it and see if i can find a more solid word.
Both are very rare loot drops and can be purchased from vendors such as Solomon in Diamond City of Wolfgang outside Drumline Dinner. Taking about 3-5 should get you addicted.
Honestly, it’s way more satisfying to spend your time on fun stuff in the game rather than grinding for hours just to get a fedora or glitch/exploit that gives you a measly +1 settler. Sure, play however you want, but let’s be real-that’s a massive waste of time given what the game actually has to offer. Oh, and if you’re on console, just download a mod like '+99 Settlers' (available for all platforms) and spare yourself the headache. Then, you can actually use that time for something entertaining instead of chasing pointless upgrades
That's a fair point. In my side, this was an interesting experiment to try to see how far I can push things without resorting to using console commands or mods. Thanks for sharing your feedback still as its valid and this will take a lot of time to do. There are certainly easier ways to do this such as the automtron DLC.
@@TrappedInFallout I understand your point, sometimes we all just try to see how far we can push the game in different ways 😉 I appreciate you being kind and respectful. Keep pushing on YT and have fun with the game. ✌
you know, if you really want higher charisma all this what you show here is actually NOT THE WAY TO DO IT, just use a console command to put whatever number you want and stop fooling around dude, wasting your time with all these unnecessary steps and all that bs
uhm ever considered there are people who want to archive things without the easy (cheaty) shortcut the console provides? it feels a lot more rewarding when archived the normal way. also there are people that can't even use the console and i think you also know that.
Fair point, thanks for sharing. Sadly not everyone has access to console commands and therefore this method may be one way to boost their Charisma and get a high number of settlers.

No problem, this method 100% be modified to be more streamlined. See how many you can get into a single settlement.

True, it's certainly a solid way to get some more settlers without having a high Charisma requirement. Thanks for sharing.

They certainly were not very happy when I showed up. Especially when I had sent them all there from other functioning settlements.
