2018 is the year i developed my first game ever it was for a school project and in 2 months only i was able to make a full fledged open world racing game using unity, since then i've only heard good news and great announcements from unity devs. I randomly started using unity with no knowledge of game development and i absolutely love it. After my semester ends i will be making my first commercial game. In less than 4 months i became a game developer thanks to Unity !!! P.S I know coding as i am a computer science student.
I’m starting college on the 30th of this month for game designing so it helps me more with coding since the 3D kit does more of the work. It can also help me understand the coding that goes behind the work.
They should do this kit with simple assets. Im downloading this but I think I won't be able to run it on my pc. If they had this with simple assets, no gestures and high poly count, it would be great. It looks very cool and I hope I can learn something with it, if I can run it.
Some people keep complaining that this kit is still rather limited. Can the assets be replaced with different ones? Can a visually different game be made using the template here?
I would like to learn some basic in coding(self learning) And i also want to try use unity I have a question. 1)Can we reskin the monster?using blender and just change the skin but its combat etc still the same?(since im new to programming,i dont know jack shit) 2)If yes,does it the same to our character?I would like to change how its looks. Ofc the other asset like enviroment is hard to do,im just going to take free asset in the internet for now. 3)Can we change the health bar?I want to change how its looks It is possible for me to learn coding n self made game(for hobby ofc)

Does anyone know how to fix a problem with the restart button in menu canvas? Because I moved Ellen in my project and created the whole level around her and now when I press the restart button it spawns Ellen I 0,0,0 position and not where I placed her in my level.

I have downloaded them both and imported them in 2 separate new projects, but it does not matter how many times i restart the editor, my projects come up with lots of compiler errors, such as no cinemachine. and lots of null reference exceptions. one thing is also realized is that in the task bar, i do not have the following menus, no 1.Tools 2.Cinemachine 3.Kit tools 4.Terrain 5.Tutorial Menus, all of which are missing. could you please give me tips on how to solve such problems, or is there something else i need to do. thanks.

Madiha Asghar go to asset store search 3D game kit click on it press download wait the when it finishes click import after it loads it will open up something the you can select what parts it downloads then continue it will download and it will ask you if it can overide your progress if you start a new project click it if you used asset store in the project itself it will appear in assets if got it from a online asset store create a new project click on assets and select 3d game kit create the 3d project and go to assets it will be there
I think that although these kits are great they are missing one very important element - a tutorial on how and why everything is made as it is. If you really want to learn something from these you need to reverse-engineer the kits which is not an easy task and kind of defeats the purpose. So all in all I don't think these kits are very useful, unfortunately.

If someone uploads it to Mega and someone reports it to Unity Technologies, Unity will claim it as Piracy cause someone uploaded the kit as their own.
To Update your Unity Version: Open Up Unity (The version you are using), Go to "Help", then Click "Check For Updates". It'll check for updates. :-)
