- Paul McCartney remembers his friendship with John Bonham of Led Zeppelin and the early version of Beware My Love they recorded together. #paulmccartney #wings #johnbonham #ledzeppelin #drums #lindamccartney #dennylaine #jimmymcculloch #classicrock #oobujoobu
So Paul has recorded with Ringo, Bonzo and Paice! 3 of my favorite drummers of all time!!!!!
And Jeff Porcaro
Hold crap! Didn’t know this at all. You can immediately hear the
weight of this groove. Sweet!
Absolutely extraordinary ⚡️ "Beware My Love " such a great song for John Bonham to play drums on 🥁⭐️💯 Rock on! ArtyThan ☆♡☆
He was a powerful drummer. What I really liked was that he could lay out and tone it down, which actually highlighted his power and groove when it came back in. A lot of "powerful" drummers have a hard time backing off when it's called for.
Bonzo's drumming is instantly recognizable. Not just the power, but the swing. His best grooves are just a hair behind the beat, adding tension and energy. And those galloping triplets on the high hat, yum!
Wow. Very cool.
ANY JOHN BONHAM FAN COULD EASLY HEAR JOHN PLAYING WITHOUT SEEING HIM PLAY !
JOHN BONHAM
THE GOAT W ONE OF THE GREATEST MUSIC COMPOSERS
COOL 😎
It's simply amazing to see that are actual footage of these 2 together
One of Paul's best songs
Actually to me this is the best recorded drumsound of the Bonham sound.
What's that man moving 'cross the stage? It looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page
Very similar beat to Achilles Last Stand...sort of😊
john bonham paul mccartney amazing musicians and loyal family guys sadly john isn.t with us anymore
oh yes!!!
wow, didnt think bonham could pull that off
The live footage is totally bogus. The shots of Bonham are from Song Remains The Same, and not from some performance with McCartney. Seems like more people would notice that.
That's correct. While the audio is the outtake version with John Bonham on drums, the Wings footage is synced from Rockshow and the Zeppelin footage from The Song Remains The Same. (We also used the only footage we could find of McCartney and Bonham in the studio together, from the 1978 Rockestra session.)
@@OobuJoobu Thanks for clarifying that. It was done well. I did enjoy seeing that studio footage of them together in the studio. I do not think I have seen that before
It's not bogus..at all... I recognized the sync..the song remains..and the rockestra clip... sorry to be a bit smarmy... however.. I never heard this song or knew of JB's participation in it!!
Love John Bonham but Joe English did exactly the right drumming for the song. Bonham's style didn't suit the song. Bonham suited Led Zeppelin but not Wings (IMHO).
wrong ¡the extra energy he puts in the song makes it even better.the groove and precision is unbeatable
It's not wrong in my opinion. Yours differ and that's fine. Cheers!
Paul McCartney died in 1966.
@@Nordicroothe drums in the final version are really weak once you listen to this. john bonham was the best rock drummer ever.joe only played on this,no one remembers him for other things. to compare is pointless
@@carlosalbertogomez1391 There's nothing wrong with sharing opinions. As you just did yourself. I have both versions by Joe English and John Bonham. And for me, English's version kills Bonham's. Yet Bonham is my favourite drummer, but just not on this song. He was, in the main, a rock drummer but English was better at pop song drumming. Just my personal opinion.
Honestly the opening bass line of dazed and confused alone is better than entire Beatles career
And not just because you can play it. Yawn
@@mikeonfreeserve2926 it's perfectly alrite if u like Beatles. That doesn't mean they are not an average group of musicians
Yeah, Macca at 80 was headlining Glasto while Plant warbled in a tent and JPJ sipping tea in his slippers. God knows where Page was.
How was JPJ's stellar solo career? Ringo's was better. John's was better. Harisons was better and as for Macca? Headlining Glasto while one Zep member almost filled a tent. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
When's the new Sam Mendes biopic of Led Zeppelin coming out? Oh ...it isn't...sorry, I meant the Beatles. Zep are far too talented for that!
