I like the idea of there being a generic base for a land, water, or air creature so you don't need the monster manual or other beastiaries to be a druid. But the problem (in variety, I know they're also weak) is that the templates are way too generic now! I think adding abilities for each form from the old animals, pehaps a list of options kind of like with Eldritch Invocations (pick 2 options, add more at later levels), would go a long way towards fixing the generic feeling of the proposed templates. TL;DR: I do want to be a spiderbear. I do NOT want to be spider/bear/horse/zeebra/snake/monkey/gorilla/lizard that are all the same thing in different costumes. And that's just a problem with that specific option. There is a lot more that needs a rework! 🤓
I wonder though, as druids are said to get power from nature itself or a nature deity, but if you have a druid that has a nature deity grant you powers, how does that work? Do they just form a bond with the deity? If they worship it, they'd be more of a cleric. If they form a pact with it, they are a warlock and if they swear an oath to it, they are a paladin, and if they are blessed/cursed with magic, they'd be a sorcerer and wizards just study the stuff.
I've been wanting to get into D&D for a long time but I've never had the courage to actually dive deep into it and gain some knowledge. And then this video showed up as an ad for me and it really got my attention lol
I was watching your video and notice that you had chosen the hermit background. This is not an option I have available to me and in fact I have significantly less options than depicted in the video. Is there something I need to do to make those options appear?
@charliethiessen6412 Yes, I did get an answer. In addition to the PHB, many of these are options of either Xanathars Guide to everything or Tashas Cauldron of everything.
Wow if only one dnd druid didn't suck and did what a druid is supposed to do aka change into different animal with unique abilities and not a detriment to your character
So I'm pretty new to DND and I'm doing a druid ranger. Do I have to have talking to animals as a spell or is it automatically a druid ready spell and I can use my slot for something else? It's what I was confused about in druid description.
I created a Druid on the site leveled up to pick a circle, but it only gave me one choice “ Circle of the land” and the different subs of it. But I want circle of the moon and I don’t know what went wrong. I even bought a subscription, thinking that would fix it, but it didn’t. Please help.
I agree. I'm wondering if they could add some sheets to the druid for Wild Shape. Like if I turn into a Panther, I'd love to see the Panthers skills / Stats / Abilities / etc...
Yeah. No thanks. You guys just keep putting your foot in your mouths. Kinda sucks the people in charge are ruining their own company by being shifty and untrustworthy. And recently, darn right thuggish. Rip d&d 😢
Let us know your favorite Druid moments! And if you've not played a Druid yet, build one on D&D Beyond: dndbeyond.link/yt_firstdruid
Why isn't path of the moon on the app 😭
I would like to be able to add my druid animal + stats to my character sheets that are druids, its a little difficult to use right now
My favorite moment is when I wild shape into an actual beast with various abilities, ...not a generic vanilla stats block with no special abilities.
Yes

had any chance to play yet? :)
I’m a Dragonborn Druid. Doesn’t say anywhere you can’t use breath weapon in wild shape form 😉
So sudden dragon breath out of a harmless little squirrel? Sounds legit 😊
wow this helped so much, now all I need are friends
I "fell for" the explanation on Charisma LOL
I love your „fallen tree“ puns. 😂😂😂
Thank you for this! What about other classes? Any other videos like this in the pipeline?
The horse said hello back
Im stuck the hermit doesnt show up 2:43
I got this ad and I only came here because it showed Saige, I haven't seen Saige since she was on Smosh.

I have the same problem. It says to look for it in the marketplace so I think you need to buy them😢

Cant find Hermit as a background, help plz
I’d love to be able to upload my own background image or have a color picker to have a color background 🙂

This literally doesnt show how to get wildshapes, how to add them, or use them.

My favourite characters to play, when I’m not DM’ing.
Half-Elf is one of the absolute best druids
Step 1 read the One DND druid are Step 2 laugh at how terrible it is Step 3 play the 5e druid and enjoy wildshape they way it’s meant to be
Everything's changed and half the options don't show up 😅
I cant chose hermit 😢
Not with the new onednd playtest.
Get the phb.
Is that Anthony Carboni???
I liked the video but there was no wild shaping explaining which is what I actually came for. Seems kinda viral to a druid build how to vid...

I'm new to the game. Can you explain what you mean by your comment?
