Last time Fabi lost in Classical was recently in Candidates vs Anish Giri where Anish played the 4 knights sicilian vs his 1.e4 . He had another loss against ding last year in the candidates where he saced 2 pawns as black in a slav defense. I believe this is Fabi's 2nd loss this year, both against amazing players and his opponents played like an engine. It is indeed, extremely difficult to defeat Fabi in classical as you need to be not only a top player but also on extremely good form (play like an engine).

Aside from losing twice this year in the candidates, the last time I recall Fabi losing was last year in the bundesliga championship against a 2600 dutch player Erwin L'Ami. ps.: round 04 of the Schachbundesliga Championship 2020
Fabi is more consistent in top tier tournaments in past few years. And he is a god in terms of prep, if you play some lines which he preped for, you will end up in very big trouble. Check out his games vs MVL this year where MVL plays the Nardorf and Fabi demolished him 2 games in a row, 1 in Tata Steel, one in Candidates. Fabi is consistently above 2800 for good reasons, it's just one loss and everybody loses in chess
Fabiano is still better than Wesley, all those tournaments you talk about are rapid tournaments, and Fabiano is not that good in faster formats. But in classical, Caruana is a beast.
Fabi, Wesley AND Hikaru all believe they are the best American player and should really be the one challenging Magnus. It's interesting, to say the least.

I want to know what tools and exercises the very best players use. Can you also tell us about how their thought process works during the game and if the players collaborate during preparation. Do the top players have a team these days like they showed in "Queen's Gambit"?
i think top tier player use servers and super computer to prepare for games... as usuallyt most player knows which opening they are likely to run into.. and super computer and chess servers help them find best move or certain move in certain position to gain advantage.. that is what opening preparation means

You can never be completely sure what your opponent will play, but you can figure out the most likely possibilities, study them, and hopefully find some new ideas that your opponent won’t expect. And yes, this takes a lot of time so the top players usually have someone to help them with this.

So i dont think normal people can learn this in just a few time... if you see most of these GM were already master when they were little so it make sense...

At 4:35 what about Nbd7? If now Ra1, then simply Qb6 and the a8-Rook is protected. Then Bxf6 is answered with Nxf6, so the other knight comes to f6 and protects the h5-bishop.

#suggestion Dear Agad, I have been religiously watching your videos and learning for the past 2 years. I would love a video explaining what you mean by "Player X really prepared well for this match". I want to know what tools and exercises the very best players use. Can you also tell us about how their thought process works during the game and if the players collaborate during preparation. Do the top players have a team these days like they showed in "Queen's Gambit"?
i think top tier player use servers and super computer to prepare for games... as usuallyt most player knows which opening they are likely to run into.. and super computer and chess servers help them find best move or certain move in certain position to gain advantage.. that is what opening preparation means

You can never be completely sure what your opponent will play, but you can figure out the most likely possibilities, study them, and hopefully find some new ideas that your opponent won’t expect. And yes, this takes a lot of time so the top players usually have someone to help them with this.
@@bantaBhaiDudhMalai i mean.. thats why they are super GM right?? they remember position and winning move they played and losing move too... so yeah... i think GM like them remember it... there is no way around it unless you are genius and you can instinctively know what to play... Most GM are not genius but a very devoted player who have acquired this skill of remembering position over time through repitition and practice.. So i dont think normal people can learn this in just a few time... if you see most of these GM were already master when they were little so it make sense...
