OK, that drum fill at 01:51 was nothing short of tremendous! Even Hadrien turned to acknowledge Eric on that one. Hadrien's command of the instrument is astonishing to say the least! These guys are clearly amongst the finest, cutting edge musicians on the scene these days, please show some respect.
He's about to get known, he's begining to play with real dope musician like hiromi and cameroon graves and mike mitchel etc etc.. Can't wait for his comming out on many live video he's soooo good
Everybody's dissing the overplaying and over-technicality but I am not getting that. listen to 6:32. Amazing use of contrast and pacing. This is pure enjoyment and enjoyability. Just sit back and let the music play instead of pigeon-holing it :)
I see your point. It takes time to understand this kinda music. But this is the music that penetrates into my heart, and into my nerves. Ah I love it sooo much. Fusion is the way. We might be different :)
@Em2300 Eric dude don't dignify these guys or comments like this with a response. Your playing speaks for itself. All one needs to do is search on youtube, Bing, Google to see the impact you are having on music/drumming. Keep doing your thing - while the rest of us watch you on UA-cam wishing we could play half as good :).
@SelCeus ......actually bro , before any criticism ,u better give a listen review to zawinul back in the day in 79' 8:30 and 80' Night passage notably , then later in the syndicate....those sounds Mike the keyboard player is using on that video all come from those periods.
I see your point too. I love fusion too. This sounds experimental and lots of energy too and great technique. Maybe I should diggin' it better. This is my second time here and I like it. For the first time I didn't like it sounded too free to me So I presume it's a bit like Free Fusion :).
@zaretix Well if you insist on getting personal, Dennis Chambers is on the large size and rules everyone. As does Anthony Jackson on bass. Hadrien despite being thin plays a mean bass!
I can totally respect the technicality and precision going on in this session, but for me this is something mostly to just gawk at as a musician, however a big chunk of groove is missing. It's primarily a splashing of flashy. It grooves at times, yeah, but it never gets to truly breathe.
+Jasper King Looks like mankind has definitely regressed these days, since we are no more able to debate and exchange our views and opinions, which we all are entitled to, without having someone being disrespectful before the discussion is over. That's crazy! Some days I wish we didn't have the internet, although I'm very happy of it. Before, you could insult a great artist and you would be heard only by your friends and family. Now you can do it and be heard all over the world. This definitely isn't a progress...
+yapadqoi Yeah, in his "interview" with Scott Devine, Hadrien said he was influenced by Richard Bona soundcloud.com/bass-lessons-podcast/003-in-conversation-with
Great players - this group sounds like it was influenced by Uri Cain's Bedrock, The Brecker Brothers, with a touch of Tribal Tech/McLaughlin (the harmony) + Cobham/Clarke.
@Prof3ssrBrando Two points towards the prof3ssr's argument. First we have over 40 years of "fusion music" so stating that someone doesn't understand fusion based on one track is an asinine claim. Second this live performance does very little justice to this track on the album, which in itself is competent and full of advanced technical playing and studio mastery but is not a classic in the making by any means.
@55mrj I do not really see why you talk of cap on Hadrien's head ? Do You think he will play even better if he removed ? lol and one can not stick with everyone ... it depends on how feelings and musical affinities can be shared and also if the technical possibilities of playing together are extended or not ... mmmm
Eric Moore is beyond human. His chops are ferocious.
The drummer is stupid good.
oh yes, overlooked too easy, he has a damn good dynamic phrasing.
The drummer is the best I seen in a long time, UNBELIEVABLE
incredible performance! 4 people burning on stage!
The drummer Eric Moore is grooving hard!
Hadrien kicks ass too!
Bass and drums are next level. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
They are that!! A real pleasure too listen to!!
Ahhhh.... Another young one. Bass is in good hands. I love this new generation players. Play on dammit! Play on!
#1 bassit and great Band. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how Hadrian Feraud is not more famous in the bass community
Right! It's crazy when I have to tell a bass player about this guy.
He's about to get known, he's begining to play with real dope musician like hiromi and cameroon graves and mike mitchel etc etc.. Can't wait for his comming out on many live video he's soooo good
he's played with many big names, Chick Corea is the best example
Played with John McLaughlin ! ! ! Kudo on your cv!
unknown .. very Comparable to Jaco Pastorious LEGEND >>> GRAND MASTER
30 seconds watching, I already respect this drummer.
Everybody's dissing the overplaying and over-technicality but I am not getting that. listen to 6:32. Amazing use of contrast and pacing. This is pure enjoyment and enjoyability. Just sit back and let the music play instead of pigeon-holing it :)
That simply means that they have a long way up the musical evolution ladder. 😊
FERAUD,simplesmente é o melhor baixista...ele mata um pouco da saudade q sentimos d JACO PASTORIUS>>>>
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow...pure insanity...just awesome
CRAZILY AMAZING
This is awesome, Eric and Hadrien are killing it! Very inspiring!
I see your point. It takes time to understand this kinda music. But this is the music that penetrates into my heart, and into my nerves. Ah I love it sooo much. Fusion is the way. We might be different :)
Reminds me of Tribal tech
Holy Christ... Jaco was famous for the precision/groove of his 16th notes, but Feraud... hell, the whole band... holy Christ!
Hadrien is my inspiration....
Hadrien, tu déchires!!
T'es énorme mec. Il est loin le temps des concerts aux Oubliettes. Tu mérites ça! Bravo

@Em2300 Eric dude don't dignify these guys or comments like this with a response. Your playing speaks for itself. Awesome!
Great musicians.
Impressionnant
insane drummer !!
I think Kirk Covington and Eric Moore have a similar musical genome set. Just an excellent ensemble effort!!
Was just thinking how similar this is to Tribal Tech. Nasty stuff
@@W.O.P.R Exactly...just some tasty smoke!
How the hell has this guy slipped under my radar?
I've got some catching up to do, and I couldn't be happier.
great musicians... 40 year old composition.
Awesome player s ..... WELL VERSED in the Art of FUSION !!!
@SelCeus ......actually bro , before any criticism ,u better give a listen review to zawinul back in the day in 79' 8:30 and 80' Night passage notably , then later in the syndicate....those sounds Mike the keyboard player is using on that video all come from those periods.
That drumming made me spooge
@yselis
According to the poster behind Eric the gig took place in MAI, a music school located in nancy, France.
Insane.
Excelente composición
Is Hadrien using the digitech bass synth wah here? If he is, I've never heard anyone getting such a nice tone out of it!!!
TJamas ikr, that tone is from outer space

@FeelPureVolume biiiig groooooooooooooooveee!!!
O.o Braguinhaaa!
anyone know any place to find live recordings of this band besides youtube and hadrien's album?
I see your point too. I love fusion too. This sounds experimental and lots of energy too and great technique. Maybe I should diggin' it better. This is my second time here and I like it. For the first time I didn't like it sounded too free to me So I presume it's a bit like Free Fusion :).
At 7:46, Listen to the beat displacement by Eric. Absolutely awesome.
Which envelope filter is he using? The electro harmonix micro q tron???
@zaretix Well if you insist on getting personal, Dennis Chambers is on the large size and rules everyone. As does Anthony Jackson on bass. Hadrien despite being thin plays a mean bass!
woow
I can totally respect the technicality and precision going on in this session, but for me this is something mostly to just gawk at as a musician, however a big chunk of groove is missing. It's primarily a splashing of flashy. It grooves at times, yeah, but it never gets to truly breathe.
Le batteur est cohérent, il a les cymbales et les oreilles percées !

Men i wanna know what effect he is using !!!

Some (lots of) Bona influences here. Good player!
Bona can cook breakfast for Hadrien anytime....
+Jasper King Looks like mankind has definitely regressed these days, since we are no more able to debate and exchange our views and opinions, which we all are entitled to, without having someone being disrespectful before the discussion is over. Hey man r u always too serious about anything? R u a bass player?
+yapadqoi Yeah, in his "interview" with Scott Devine, Hadrien said he was influenced by Richard Bona
soundcloud.com/bass-lessons-podcast/003-in-conversation-with
yeeeeaahhh I didn't think about that... But there's something "digitalish" about that sound...
@zaretix What about Abe Laboriel,Aaron Spears and Dennis Chambers just to name a few? They're pretty hefty looking guys.
This Sounds Like A 90's Hellsing Track
5:50 Hadrien steps on the Boss OC-2, then adds the Digitech Synth Wah(?)
Where can i get this Video..Good God!!!!!!
Reincarnation of J. Zawinul J.Pastorius and P. Erskine!
Thanks.
someone buy that drummie a burger ,,hes AWESOME ,, give the rest of em some old leftovers ??
Great players - this group sounds like it was influenced by Uri Cain's Bedrock, The Brecker Brothers, with a touch of Tribal Tech/McLaughlin (the harmony) + Cobham/Clarke.
In another words:really good fusion
title should say "Eric Moore feat. Hadrien Feraud"
@zaretix dennis chambers ?? no ??
Brand of cymbals please???
Jsco pastorius en the bass!
What the effect at 3:16 ?
@Prof3ssrBrando
Two points towards the prof3ssr's argument. First we have over 40 years of "fusion music" so stating that someone doesn't understand fusion based on one track is an asinine claim. Renaud Insane : Trumpet
2:18
I understood the joke ........
Yeah, and right from the OFF, it was like fill-city!
And four years on, I can't believe I thought this then. This is brilliant. Developing ears, I guess.
@55mrj I do not really see why you talk of cap on Hadrien's head ? Do You think he will play even better if he removed ? lol
and one can not stick with everyone ... it depends on how feelings and musical affinities can be shared and also if the technical possibilities of playing together are extended or not ... mmmm
what brand of cymbals are those ? ?
Typical Richard Bona's touch at 0:19 and 1:50
What's the name of the trumpet player?? I'm a trumpet player
ok i'm impressed, now what?
Definitely Envelope @3:16.
What album is this track from?
SMOKIN............
