[Stockholm] Emergency Ambulances With Lights & Siren!

Captured here are a variety of emergency ambulance vehicles responding to calls and transporting patients in the Swedish capital city, Stockholm. Ambulance services in the city are primarily run by a government-owned company called AISAB, which is an acronym that roughly translates to 'Ambulance Care in Greater Stockholm. You will also see some private ambulances run by the multi-national company 'Falck'. The 'ambulance bus' in the video is an intensive care transport unit for special patient transfers.

Nice 👍 Most of Falcks Mercedes Sprinters are now taken out of service, replaced by new VW Transporters and some of the Mercedes Vitos shown in the video from AISAB have become spare units by now. Replaced by new Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter and Volvo XC90!

I noticed that a lot to the Vitos already seemed pretty banged up, and they had problems with the grille lights malfunctioning.

In the first clip: The first ambulance is going to a call and the second one is turning left towards Södersjukhuset (South Hospital). You can see that by looking in the cab. One person = Patient, Two = No patient.
And then if you are from Stockholm you also know that there is a hospital that way :)

Them Swedish ambulances look like British ambulance with the yellow and green on them

But the sirens on the UK are American-style (sure they have a two-tone, but that rarely happens)
Meanwhile sirens in Sweden are European-style (the Yelp siren is called a Swedish-style siren)
