It's something about it I recall just like the yellow jacket bumblebees how strong that look. I can say we used to rock your songs in the '80s on our early b-boy stilo when doing our graffiti or the homies early break dancing in Mid-City midtown on St Elmo.

Yeah it's interesting to think about how Schoolly was never really appreciated in any sort of popular way, hip hop or mainstream. Most people have never heard of him. I guess you could say, he is what they call a cult classic. I never had the chance to see him perform live. If the opportunity ever arises I would still like to though.

I’ve always thought that after finishing a tour Ice Cube and maybe the other guys came back home and expected to be immediately living large like The Rolling Stones or Michael Jackson or some shit only to find that their lives weren’t that different…Yet. I think they were young and and maybe a bit naive (as we all are at some point) not realizing or appreciating, as Schooly D mentioned, how much money was being spent on them to tour, put out records, merch, etc…if Jerry Heller didn’t pocket one cent, I don’t think Ice Cube and the rest would have seen the money that he thought that he was entitled to.
