D.E.B.S. might be campy but it is one of the best lesbian action flicks. Written and directed by our beloved Angela Robinson! In addition to starring Sara Foster and Jordana Brewster, there is also Holland Taylor as the head of the D.E.B.S. This movie was great fun and very romantic. 👏🌈👏
DEBS is a favorite it's just so fun. Love the cast and the 80's music. I actually just watched Atomic Blonde again love the 80's music and love the ladies. Can't wait for Atomic Blonde 2 and Old Guard 2.

hello, well Hollywood fights can be a tad cringy yeah but i am a 200 lbs + man and 100-150 woman (or man) can definitely hand me a can of whoop-ass. Even in the one vs one duelling paradigm, weapons makes a significant difference to how physical size matter, it could be said that is what they were invented for. So yeah, open hand and small knives, being significantly stronger and bigger makes for a quite large the skill delta in the favor of the smaller person. Large knives/short sword calls for a smaller skill delta. One handed swords makes the skill delta marginal and two handed weapons makes physical size almost irrelevant. This is even more so the case when you are in many vs many scenario as the increase in engament/safe distance range really dim the difference in stature regardless of what you use. The Birka warrior (the archetype of hight status viking warrior burial )who was a woman was not sized as if she was Arnold Swartzenneger with earrings. All the 15th century fencing manuscript i have seen really stress that it is a mistake to "imbue the teachings of the master with too much strength".

If you look at it from it is about winning and not about fighting, manipulation the situation to your advantage is a much rewarding route for success. (surprise being one of the way you can manipulate the situation). All the 14th to 15th century Fencing manual are about creating a large windows of opportunity for you which, with the extra separation distance due many vs many, is much easier to achieve that in one v one situation.

I think it bears mentioning that while the Old Guard doesn’t have a lesbian romance in it yet, and I definitely want to see that, it is nonetheless gay, and the gay couple is beautiful and truly excellent. They’re passionate and loving and wholesome.

Loved the Power Rangers reboot, I ship Kim and Trini all the way. I think they were going to expand on Trini in the sequel but sadly it didn't happen and it broke my heart, thank god for Fan Fiction though. I've also written a few Trimberly fics myself and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Also I grew up on Power Rangers, Jason David Frank is one of my idols, I met him and it was one of the greatest moments of my life.

Two are of interest. The first is more in the "vibes" category, but in "Peking Opera Blues," she plays the tomboyish head of a ragtag group of anti-imperialist fighters. Again, any lesbianism is subtextual, but it's good to see women at the center of a very well-made action flick. The second is "The East Is Red" (a.k.a. "Swordsman III"), which is NOT a good movie but does have some intriguing gender politics. Lin basically plays a trans anti-hero who moves fluidly between genders. The lesbian/trans themes aren't explored very deeply, but there are a couple scenes of powerful women (well, they're at least PLAYED by women) making out with each other. Worth checking out, if you have the time and access.
A month ago I had a dream: I went to the theater to see "Atomic blonde 2". 3 hours, of which 1.5 hour was like a pogrom 🔥🔥🔥 sex between Charlize and Sofia with wild moans and screams. I even remember the frightened faces of the audience, who one by one ran out of the hall. Most of them were middle-aged women.😂
well i am not sure there is such a thing as too childish for grown up if you were a young-adult in the 80 . I mean I paid money to see Rambo III and after Got S8 and SW9, only Mariana trench plot holes affect me. So unsurprisingly i thought "asking for it" was good and I though the plot of "Atomic blonde", whilst not being anything new by the 60-70 spy movies standard, was far better than any James bond. I really liked DEBS, It really is a guilty pleasure. I liked the romance and i kind of took it as the first expendable. IE a satire of 80 action movies and a certain type of mangas, plus there are great one liners. I am not the sharpest tool in the box but i through that the old guard was pretty clear about the main protagonist and Quin as historian would put it "seems to be very good Friends". I liked asking for it. I can't remember the title but a few years ago there was a low budget movie (Canadian i think) about two vampires (women) fighting an alien invasion that i found quite good.
For me it wasn't. Canon in the comics, but to me it really came off as as a "and they were roommates" type of thing in the 1st film where they for no good reason didn't have a mention if the two used to be in a relationship. That way it's a more close-minded people -friendly film. Tho they do have a mlm ship already so maybe the case is more sth along the lines of two queer couples is one too many🤷🏻♀️
