Absolutely love the Detachment, though I feel like the 2CP Strategems are too expensive (thank God for Chaos Lords). A few things jumped out to me: -Prime Test Subject is absolutely insane on a Chaos Lord, especially when he pops "Chance For Glory". It's potentially very powerful on a Master of Executions too (although the re-roll to hits is somewhat useless). -A lot of the buffs are obviously oriented towards melee infantry, but don't underestimate shooting infantry too. For example, if you use the augment that bumps your BS, your Obliterators and Havocs now hit on 2s. Also, this will bump any units with Combi-Weapons (Chosen and Chaos Terminators) so they'll now hit on 3+. -Stacking a brick of Chosen with Fabulous Bill? Assuming you get the Toughness and Strength augments, they're now T6, S7 for their Accursed Weapons, and S10(!) on their Powerfists. They'll rip through basically everything. -Living Carapace on a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor will be a great "IT JUST WON'T DIE!" unit that you can deep strike behind enemy lines. -Diabolic Regeneration is crazy awesome. Getting to return a Legionary at a minimum is extremely strong, especially considering you can do it for 0CP if there's a Chaos Lord leading the unit.
Personally I would bring 3 wardog brigands to my list. If not outright kill targets at least soften up targets and create a screenline for primary melee infantry army to flank and overwhelm units.
Havoks and oblits provide a nice balance to the combat elements. The main benefit of this derarchment is flexibly. You chose at start of game. So vs knights yku provably do go bs with your oblits and las havocs
It looks like a fun detachment, you can actually build a really melee focused list, shooty list or balanced list with this rule set. My only concern is the risk/reward when it comes to randomizing what augments you get which could hold it back from hitting the top end of the competitive scene despite being able to choose 1 instead. Lets see how they go!
I read / read the rule as you can select different augmentations for each separate unit. Ie, legionaires get +1 T, possesed +2 move, etc. Am i misinterpretating?

To clarify, you can pick one or you can roll for 2 random buffs. Bile as your warlord lets you reroll one of the randoms.

You wouldn't want to take Abaddon with this, as he must be your warlord, so you wouldn't be able to get Bile's re-rolls.

If you take Bile do you not just get to re roll either or both of your randomly selected augments? I can't see where it says Bile lets you pick one.

augmentations are army wide, and stack if you have 2 different ones.
I bought the combat patrol for CSM, the one with the the Master of possession. What should I buy next if I want to get to 1000 points?
Chosen, characters, maybe the venomcrawler Obliterators kit
Chosen and Chaos Lord(s) first, obliterators, and if you're playing 1000pts I've done serious work with Havocs with Heavy Lascannons.
