HOW TO: Apply Cavity Wax inside Frame Rails
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 гру 2024
- Ryan Marrinan, 3M Application Engineer, shows how to put cavity wax inside frame rails and inner cavities of the vehicle.
Demonstration (00:23)
Watch as Ryan applies Cavity Wax to several spots in the frame rails. See all the nooks and crannies he gets on the inside of the vehicle.
Summary (02:06)
Now there’s complete corrosion protection on all the surfaces of the vehicle. We've applied cavity wax to the frame rails, the rocker panels, both the doors, the box side, the tailgate, the front fenders and the hood. With this, the vehicle should withstand a number of years on the road without any issues.
Important note:
There are of course many factors and variables that can affect an individual repair, so the technician and repair facility need to evaluate each specific application and repair process, including relevant vehicle, part and OEM guidelines, and determine what is appropriate for that repair.

Good afternoon, absolutely one of the most essential products for corrosion protection.
I use it by the case for our rebuilt vehicles. No comebacks or complaints. Thanks for a great product.
Super product, I would mark the wand 2" from then end. This lets one know to stop spraying, keeping overspray off the finish.
thank you for the great tip !
the other tip that i have heard is to tape the hose to a tig welding rod or coat hanger wire for a more ridged controllable wand, so that it is not just a floppy hose
Good useful information. However, please lower the music volume.
Thankyou it really helps me a lot to discuss on my client
How many cans for a typical half ton pick up do you think?
I had rust under windshield , so my bodyshop repaired the rust and painted panel finally , and said not to put cavity wax in this area , or else the silicone that holds the windshield will fail to get hold of windshield with the body panel , Was the bodyshop right ?
Cuando se podrán encontrar los videos en español?

Can you apply directly on rusty inside cavities?
No. While 3M Cavity Wax Plus and other corrosion prevention chemicals can help prevent new corrosion from happening, they do not halt or reverse existing corrosion.
@@3MCollision Should i try to de-rust the cavity first? Or must I paint the inside properly first, before applying 3M Cavity Wax?
Too bad it won't spray in a 360 degree pattern to actually cover everything inside the cavity.
Lower the damn music!!!!!!
What a useless vid, nothing about prep, nothing about PP you should have, no tips about application. I have to just gather some of that from this video and guess on the rest.
