  • In such a rush to pass dangerously, but not in such a rush to stop for a chat?
    Never makes sense!
    At the point the moped rider passed, the van driver moved to the left. Almost resulting in a collision. F stupid.

    He's running dodgy plates, WJ10 BJJ comes back as a silver Audi. That's why he's riding like a dick, he won't get reported. So many false plates on these mopeds these days and no police to stop it.

      I wonder if the poor owner of the Audi has received many NIPs and penalty charges due to this moped rider?

      This is from 2 years ago. a 10 number plate was issued to vehicles in 2010. The Audi it is currently registered to is a 2016 audi. The last time the a V5C logbook was issued was 08/03/24. It could be that they moved the number plate from the moped to the audi.

      The driver of the van also had to be reported, as he initiated an unsafe lane change, which caused the moped rider to swerve into CG direction. Piss poor planning ahead of the moped rider and careless driving from the van driver, and the sufferer would be a cyclist, again.

      WJ10 BJJ is a false plate. It's registered to a silver Audi. It's no wonder the moped rider didn't care. Because he knows he can't be traced.

      @@JuergenHoppe1 I can only see one lane there, the van wasn't going into the right-turn filter, so didn't make a lane change. They did move slightly to the left within the lane though. It looks like a nasty stretch of road with mopeds trying to get past of either side.

      @@davem9204 Indeed. The markings for the right "turn lane" confused me. Still, the van driver swerved without looking if the space is occupied or not.

    Unfortunately these L plate moped riders are the worst road users, they literally have no clue. CBT doesn't require you to even read the highway code or touch a theory test. Which means they have no understanding of planning ahead or hazard perception.
    It gives motorcyclists and other moped riders (who are educated on the road) a bad name.
    Couriers should not be able to ride on a CBT, a full license should be required for anything business related. Although wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have a CBT license

    • @andrewcalladine2507
      @andrewcalladine2507 Місяць тому +1

      while their driving was poor, I don't believe it's fair to assign collective responsibility to the actions of one road user type. Besides evidence shows that the biggest danger to all other road users is presented by far a number of those driving 4 wheels or more.

    • @helloweeny
      @helloweeny Місяць тому +4

      I did a CBT a while ago and it was excellent. They were really good to emphasise how vulnerable you were and the risks you posed to other road users, and gave very practical advice and tips. They also did cover the basics of the highway code at the start and encouraged doing more reading.
      It seems like not everywhere provides such a good learning experience, which is a real shame.

      @@andrewcalladine2507 oh you are 100% correct, I think it also depends on where you are driving/riding. Go to london and you'll see a larger amount of L plated couriers doing insanely dangerous things (mostly putting themselves in danger), I would argue more so than your average car driver in London (this is my opinion, I have no stats/data to say otherwise)
      However, in general yes there's no arguing that car drivers are capable and are more dangerous to other road users.
      Again, this is probably just my perception on things, but if I notice it, so does everyone else, hence "give" us all a bad name (motorcycle,moped etc)

    • @swinchester6132
      @swinchester6132 Місяць тому +2

      @@helloweeny I've done 3 CBT's (didn't bother with full license for a while) and I had some great and not so great experiences.
      However speaking to some of the couriers in London, some of them use there friend/family licenses, don't have a license (just wack on a L plate) and some even got there CBT certificate without even stepping in a test centre.
      The above are probably the minority, but it does happen unfortunately

    • @helloweeny
      @helloweeny Місяць тому

      @@swinchester6132 right, but my point is more that if the CBT is done properly, it's a great course that does prepare you for a lot of the issues you will face on the road. Just like you get terrible drivers with full licences, you can't blame the CBT for terrible riding. It's often just a mentality thing, that person in the video would probably still be a terrible driver regardless of if they had a full licence.
