❤️❤️❤️🌶️🌶️🌶️ The last bit of this is what I love about 40k. My first army was Orks, but when I discovered Sisters of Battle I sold my Orks to a friend to buy into a horrendously under supported faction. This was early in 4th Edition they still fell under the Ordo Hereticus codex. I had kitbashed all of my Inquisitor's retinue. I had cut my kitbashing teef on Orks, and there weren't actually model kits for a lot of their units (I ordered a bunch of Marine jump pack sprues to make my Stormboys, and 'Ard Boys didn't have a kit so I just didn't use the armor plating bits on my rank and file boys and went got real creative with applying them to said 'Ard Boys). And given there weren't models for a lot of possible Inquisitor loadouts I already knew what to do. I spent hours with an exacto knife sculpting down a marine gauntlet into a human hand, and then sculpting a plasma pistol to attach to the Bolter (it was attached to the hand I sculpted down) a friend gave me to make my Inquisitor's combi-plasma. Canonesses could equip jump packs back then, and now I have no means to employ that model anymore, and I kitbashed the heck out of her too. I later picked up Blood Angels as an inducted force under the old rules. They have subsequently split in both my mind and the rules, but there was a brief moment where my Canoness and Dante flew together into loses that I didn't mind because I was playing a weird thing I loved. I preferred it back when SoB, GK, and DW served to bulk out Inquisitorial forces, rather than Inquisitors being tacked on as they are now. Inquisitorial stormtroopers were great for Malleus and Xenos (but a little redundant for Hereticus given that had the cheaper Sisters, as opposed to Death Watch or Grey Knights). I don't even know what to do with my old retinue anymore. Some of the models are now for units of their own, but I only have one of them. And other models are just not even useful anymore (if I played Astra Militarum I could use most of them, but they don't match any regiment I can acquire a lot of models for).
Nice one Baldermort! I've stuck a few of these amongst my Orks recently and I absolutely love the crafting process! 💜👍 I love that models on the table can tell a story even before the fight begins 😊👌

To hear philosophy from you that echoes what I have learned and cultivated for myself, that gentleness with self and others in expressing the craft and valuing of mistakes, is deeply heartening. Such encouragement is worth more than any combi-weapon (except maybe a combi-melta, as I am sure you would know ;) ). Thank you, deeply.
The only thing that disappoints me, is that the most obvious of choices for a combi-weapon is a Bolter and shotgun, I don’t think it exists within the 40k lore.
Brother Baldermort is such a masterful storyteller. I'm a fairly recent subscriber but I am thoroughly hooked. Just know, your stories of the grimdark help push back the grimdark in my mind. Cheers, you magnificent man.
Well said advice at the end, and might I add, don't start off painting your best most expensive unit..start on the cheap ones and as you work your way up,..so too your skills will be up. Thank you Baldermort, for all you do
As always I loved this! Thank you ! I remembered my first squad of Bloodangels more than 20 years back... the first kitbash, the first time to get paint on the mini...
When your sons are calling you to war, or in this case, uncle Baldy has a new episode featuring the angels, well it's rude not to, so thank you uncle Baldy, you did it again, pure joy for a grinning fool like me, knowing I'm not the only one enjoying your hard work. Well done my friend
Another glorious video, another lifted spirit! All in a days work eh Baldy? Hope your day has gone swimmingly and filled with much Dakka. Love the special Space Marines in this story. Truly Frightening Homebrew there! Power and savagery of the sons of Sanguinius, stealth and fear tactics of the Nightbringers! Truly some nasty stuff.
I love your praises of the kitbash, as an Ork player for a long time, 2nd edition, most of our armies are kit bashed, in fact in the old days, that was all we had....
Kitbash went next level when I got my 1st humble 3D printer from Monoprice, largely just to print custom combi weapons, helms, and armor upgrades. The learning curve was a bit steep, the early 3D printers were finicky, but eventually the results were all worth the trouble.
Now, we need an "Angels of Midnight" official chapter review. Well done Chronicler, yet again. :) Also, I think the destructive Combi-Melta Doom Toothpick Destructor is something I'll have to draw up:)
Sooooo, I've been painting Blood Angels, got a little... unmotivated. This video has inspired me to full pivot into a Blood Angels Successor Chapter. By the Emperor, Baldermort, you are good.
My personal favorite combi-weapon is Supreme Grand Master Azrael's Bullpup Bolter/Plasma weapon; Lion's Wrath. Such a quintessential Dark Angels Weapon; Add Plasma to every weapon system!!
Nice video. I would love more stories about the Guard. Not a huge fan of the Space Marine. I mean they get the job done, but they are all so serious and down. So removed from the human condition. And most of them are right bastards. The Guard does all of the heavy lifting. Long Live The Emperor!!!
Just finished a new Black Templars list yesterday evening. Squeezed points at the end to include a captain in terminator armor with a relic blade and combi melta...always comes in handy
I love that 9th Edition made the First Born and Primaris have the same number of wounds. Combi-Weapons are also great now because they are no longer single shot, and you can use both, though with a -1 penalty to hit. for my home-brewed White Scars successor Chapter, the Chapter Master uses a Combi-flamer in his Terminator Armor. Though, I do admit, that I rarely use Combi-weapons because of all the years they were one-shots, and the whole keeping track of if I had already used it was always tough for me, so I am very glad for the change in 8th and 9th, though I am planning to give my Devastator Sgt either Combi-Melta or Combi-Grav, and there are several Condemnor Bolt Guns among my Sororitas army.
An interesting theory.. Orks are simple creatures & there psychic ability would technically make it possible.. But doubtful there psychic abilities would actually effect enemies in a beneficial way.. To the Orks maybe they perceive Magnus as moving faster but everyone else would see him moving as “normal”.. Maybe Kronan the Orkarian would have the answer.
@@emperorschampion8471 agreed when I read your comment I pictured a bunch of Orks moving in slow motion fighting Magnus & some TS Marines staring at the fight in disbelief.. Yeah Jaghatai would go on a crusade just to kill Magnus & have the title back..

Such encouragement is worth more than any combi-weapon (except maybe a combi-melta, as I am sure you would know ;) ).
Thank you, deeply.
Cool to have a couple of combi weapons cheaply on your Sternguard Vets. Really like those
Oh yeah. Plus drop pod. Gorgeous.
@@Baldermort 5 points is just too good of a deal
The only thing that disappoints me, is that the most obvious of choices for a combi-weapon is a Bolter and shotgun, I don’t think it exists within the 40k lore.
If we can make it, the Imperium should too.
First 15 min
Brother Baldermort is such a masterful storyteller.
I'm a fairly recent subscriber but I am thoroughly hooked.
Just know, your stories of the grimdark help push back the grimdark in my mind.
Cheers, you magnificent man.
I always love when you pull the "They were saved! ... but at what cost?"
Well said advice at the end, and might I add, don't start off painting your best most expensive unit..start on the cheap ones and as you work your way up,..so too your skills will be up. Thank you Baldermort, for all you do
All I can think of is a bunch of meganobz goin “MELTY MELTY”!
As always I loved this! Thank you ! I remembered my first squad of Bloodangels more than 20 years back... the first kitbash, the first time to get paint on the mini...
Wow I’m early. Great vid as usual!
Great as always!
Seeing a new video from Baldermort show up in my subscription feed always makes me excited! Keep up the great work!😁
I remember kit-bashing with my best friend 15 years ago. Loads of fun.
I may be new to you channel but you will forever be the voice of warhammer in my mind.
I wasn't expecting this video to be so wholesome.
Thank you for the video!
Yah!! Melty melty!! He said it again!!
The combi-weapon was indeed one of my first kit bash projects, I made a pile of these back in 3rd edition
Just... HOW tf can you make a simple statement about kitbashing sound so epic??? absolutely briliant
Liking and commenting on all your vids to get you boosted up. You’re the best and deserve more!
Great video, Brother!
I find this funny that this was the topic as today my rp character just finished making a combi weapon
Ah yes, nothing better than adding more dakka onto the already heavy dakka. Good to hear your voice again Baldermort! :>
I have to say i stumbled across your channel. You do an amazing job with these videos. Your voice is perfect for it. Keep up the great work!
2nd. Baldemort your vids are so good
Yea! Enjoyed the pep talk too.
Ou how i love you're videos and you're voice is more than perfecto to this scene!! I want more BY THE EMPEROR!!👍❤️🇫🇮✌️🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨
Again a very good video
Just finished a new Black Templars list yesterday evening. Squeezed points at the end to include a captain in terminator armor with a relic blade and combi melta...always comes in handy
great job again thank you.

Thank you very much for this video, it made my night a lot better ! I hope you'll reach 100k follower soon !
"live love laugh" signs of the prince of pleasure
The majestic kit-bash! AAAH YES!!
Hmmm, my gun seems to be lacking a certain something. I shall try and rectify this by adding more gun! Good solid imperial problem solving right there
More dakka. The answer to most questions ok reliably told.
Or a bayonet!
@@Baldermort the only problem that more dakka can't solve directly, is running out of ammo!
Theory: if Magnus was to fight orks would he move faster because ork belief in red = go faster and waaaagh energy? I think yes
@@ravager2-636 fare point I do think it would be funny to see the look on Jaghatai khans face when he’s sees he’s not the fastest primarch anymore
@@emperorschampion8471 agreed when I read your comment I pictured a bunch of Orks moving in slow motion fighting Magnus & some TS Marines staring at the fight in disbelief..
Yeah Jaghatai would go on a crusade just to kill Magnus & have the title back..
You have no idea how happy this makes me 😁
Another great mini audiobook
Lovely vid as always, bald one!
but if i can come with a request or suggestion - would you be able to make playlists out of the story-related videos like you have with tarquin and the boy? either my eyes fail me and you have, or some videos like it aren't organized like that yet. it would be a great help to enjoy your storywriting, which - if i'm being honest, is some of my favorite 40k content around.
The 40k Combo package got to love it! :D
Great presentation of an Emperor-forsaken world blamelessly falling to Chaos. Savior does not always mean good.
Wildly jumping topics, have the Night Lords or Emperor's Children ever encountered dark eldar?
I can't decide whether they would go all fanboy on each other (OMG, I LOVE YOUR WORK, PLEASE SIGN MY TORTURE DOLL [indecipherable screaming]) or go into blackrage levels of insane wrath on sight.
Do these things have two machine spirits or what?
