- Could I beat a Hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokémon Emerald if all of my Pokémon have 0 speed? So basically, I never go first.
In a typical nuzlocke, I am a huge fan of fast, heavy hitters. Glass cannon Pokémon are some of my favorite, as long as they have good typing and range. But how would that change if all of my Pokémon had 0 speed? I bet I'd be forced to use a wide variety of different Pokémon. Well, let's find out!

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Only Catch The First Pokémon On Each Route
2) If A Pokémon Faints, I Cant Use Them
3) No Items In Battle
4) Set Mode
5) No Over Leveling
6) Pokémon Have 0 Speed

Torterra was my favorite. Broke my heart to see it constantly falling behind while walking in BDSP

It would be interesting to see this for other stats as well--0 atk/spatk, 0 def/spdef, or the peak of difficulty: 1 hp.
Or, if you do this challenge again in later generations, make sure to ban Trick Room.
I would love to do more runs like this, but this video never got picked up by UA-cam so I’m not sure if it’s worth it. I do know I don’t have the knowledge to do anything like this in generations other than 3 though
@@NuzlockeJoe That's unfortunate. I'd imagine at least a 1 hp run would be picked up by UA-cam, but it would also be extraordinarily difficult. While speed is important, there's only one stat you truly can't do without.
@@NuzlockeJoe that's sad, your videos are all rather interesting and making me actually want to try challenges. Have you thought about an "All Fossil Pokemon" challenge? That could be pretty fun, since a lot of them are great (Even Archeops if you can avoid getting "Defeatist" activated)

Honestly, not restarting after wipes is really interesting. 10/10 too slow
I know a lot of nuzlockers on yt do it, but restarting after a wipe is not part of the hardcore nulozkce core rules. And I thought it would make me use different pokemon, as opposed to keeping swampert on my team the entire game.
I can see drain abilities and counter moves always be better in this system.
And first turn moves being highly valued
Yeah for sure. I never used him in a major battle, but for the Steven fight I did have a wobbufet on my team as a back up

I mean, I wasn’t gonna insult your favorite Pokémon but since you brought I up: yeah he sucks. I mean his defense is great, but with that low speed he could have gotten a bit more hp or attacks
All of my favorite pokrmon are slow tanks! Honestly i favor hp and higher defense stats Azumaril is my favorite pokemon as a result
