2. Can only catch the first Dark Type Pokémon I find on each route; This includes Pokémon that evolve INTO Dark types, but does NOT include non-Dark Pokémon that evolved from Dark types!

Aimlessly perusing UA-cam only to see on the horizon of my phone screen a FlygonHG Nuzlocke notification. A true joy for the office procrastinator 🖤
Wrath, Sloth, and Lust showing up and instantly cleaning house on the last of the playthrough is like a pack of street thugs throwing down on a guy because he was picking on a couple weak kids. (The kids in this instance being Greed and Pride lol)
The whole thing felt straight out of Jojo
Ironic since Greed and Pride are the strongest sins
After losing a Gen-Locke to Tate & Liza and having to restart from Pokémon Red, it’s cathartic to see them just get walloped with ease.
As a kid i always struggled with them, to the point that i can only think of them as a tough fight.
Definitely cathartic to see them get destroyed.
(I think my issue was not liking grinding so i would end up underleved. Also not knowing a bunch of the mechanics that aren't explicitly stated in game, but i was also 8 or something without the Internet to help.)
I was too lazy to grind against them and decided to just spam potions
It’s really nice to see your growth as a creator. I rarely comment on your videos but have been watching since the emerald grass nuzlocke. I love so many of the little running jokes and themes on your channel that have started to build on top of each other, like garchomp FJ or how poppy has inspired so much of the dog pokemon love on your channel. Not only does your scriptwriting get better, it also seems like you have more fun writing it now. What I’m trying to say is that your channel has some of the most visible growth in quality that I have seen on UA-cam, and I appreciate the content you drop❤

It actually makes sense that Absol can't learn earthquake. Absol explictly doesn't cause disasters. It merely senses when they're coming.

I did one of these too a few days ago. Absol carried this team pretty hard. Only thing I regret was EV training them all only in Speed and Attack... Strength was basically my strongest move since all Dark/Water/Grass moves were special 😅
Psychic only in Enerald might be interesting. One of the hardest generations for it I'd think since you have few encounters, the evil teams use dark types heavily, and there's a dark type elite 4 member.
Plus there's a ton of incidental Dark, Bug, and Ghost moves on random trainers. Bite is everywhere.
@@zoeyvalkyrie The early game would be a nightmare, your only two potential encounters going into Roxanne are Ralts and Abra, and both of those don't know any attacking moves when you get them. Plus Ralts and its evolutions are really mediocre until Gen VI and catching Abra is a matter of whipping a ball at it immediately and praying.
Sableye always seemed to be underrated but he’s an absolute monster when you use him right.

While obviously they come from the same organ, the question is if "nipple", "teet", and "utter" are the same or truly distinct by their definitions. (I am too lazy to look further into this, and don't feel like having it in my search history)

@@bobjoe3492 that was not what i was going for, since they are very similar in evolutionary origin.
I was more curious about linguist definitions and the whole all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares angle.
After putting in the research the udder is analogous to the breast/boob and represents 2-4 fused together into 1 mass. Dangling below the udder are the teats which are basically nipples with the distinction being if it is on a human or other animal.
I took the sacrifice to my browser history, but the short answer is that miltank counts as having nipples. (Just by another name)

Flashing back to when I did a run of ruby with tan aqua pokemon. Watson is truly hoenns great equalizer if you don't have marshtomp/geodude. So many kabooms. So many tears.
I was rewarded with a shiny numel ironically tho, so that was fun

Been great being a sub since your first vids. Most UA-camrs I've accompained that long either become boring or lose what made them fun. The more you grew, the more you found a genuinely funny way of making these vids and stuck to it. It's been great!
Absol is my ABSOLute favourite pokemon, I'm so glad to see it get some use in a run! I couldn't stop imagining the mons in this run being the homunculi from FMA, because of the names, lmao. Hope to see more absol runs in the future, and it's always a treasure to watch the gen 3 runs specifically, purely because of the stone family drama.

That has GOT to be one of the most cursed things I have ever heard.
Holy fudge …. A dark type Nuzlocke in one of the hardest games to Nuzlocke (based on my experience) as dark was still not effective against steel and dark being special before the physical/special split AND all viable encounters being physical attackers …… Dr. OneBall HG with another banger
Atleast some of those quirks work in his favor.
Roxanne's rocks have bad special defense and don't resist dark so Bites from Poochyena rip through her.
Ghost moves are physical so shadowball benefits from sword dance.
Cacturnes growth boosts all of its dark and grass moves.
The times before the physical special split are weird, some mons are nearly unviable like sneasle, amd others get to pull of some shenanigans like Cacturne and Linoone. (Bellydrum linoone sweeps Phoebe with physical shadowball.)
What's really funny about dark being special is when the physical special split came every pre gen4 dark move became physical
We need a full animated version of the Daddy Stone Saga. It'd be the best Pokemon Soap opera
24:01 Absol can't learn moves like Earthquake because it doesn't cause disasters, it only foresees them and tries to warn people; but this makes people think that it causes the disasters, hence why it learns moves like Future Sight and Perish Song. It's unfortunate from a viability standpoint, but makes sense given its lore. The only move in its learnset that doesn't really match this theme is Rock Slide, though in the anime it does try to cause rock slides in order to protect people from a disaster, so it's not too far off; meanwhile, earthquakes are only ever destructive.
I love how these videos expand on the Steven lore, they get me imvested in Pokemon attract love stories, and they make me nervous for any potential death. I love the videos, thank you FlygonHG for everything you do.

I’ve always used a Cacturne whenever I played gen 3, and it was so satisfying to see it kick ass this run.
This was the first nuzlocke I ever did, and I actually made a school project out of it. I was inspired from watching your videos a few years ago, and I'm so happy you finally did an emerald dark nuzlocke!

1:00 If nuzleaf milk comes from the mammary glands of a nuzleaf, it should be considered closer to dairy
If we want a vegan alternative, we would take many nuzleaf and blend them up into a paste to be mixed with water until it becomes a milk-like consistency
Dude,this reminds me of my childhood. After i played the game on my gba for a hundred plus hours on my first try, i started a new game while only using dark types because my favorite pokemon at that time was shiftry. I just loved its design.

If you think about it, of the deadly sins, gluttony is probably the least damaging to one’s soul. So the naming theme was fitting going into the end, bringing the strongest 6 deadly sins
Not sure if this is why Absol actually can’t learn earthquake, but the species is called the disaster pokemon because they can detect disasters with their horn and try to warn people about them, rather than actually causing them

Anyway once again I'll recommend returning to no stab moves as a nuzlocke. After playing a couple ones, Platinum, B/W, Emerald and X/Y are all fun games to run for the challenge. X/Y I think is the most fun, though I think Emerald without the game corner TMs is the hardest.
I love both Gen 3 and Dark Types, so this was peak FlygonHG for me. 🙌🏻

I remember in my first playthrough of pokemon, it was ruby and I had a Absol with superluck named Aravyn, i even managed to trade it up to ORAS but then lost all my data cause someone broke my memory card. She would night slash sweep since i had indirectly ev trained her in speed and she had an attack boosting nature. Now every time i play any hoenn game i hunt for a female absol with superluck to name aravyn

Has the style of video changed recently. For a while the style of video was more like showing clips from streams, but now it's more narration like it was at the begining of the channel. That aside, a FlygonHG video always makes my day, it's amazing how much of a happy influence these videos have on me.
