I love Beck Bennet's impression of a dorky sarcastic teen... "cause that's normal"
JOMADeeNA Yup. I know that feeling because I can relate. I have Autism.
Eliza Bentley Only a little. But sometimes you just gotta laugh at that kind of thing.
When I was a manager at gamestop, we got new hires like this all the time. They rarely stayed long.
YES! All I could think about while watching this was all the people I hired/trained over the years for GameStop and and eventually seeing all my sweet summer children get their spirits crushed when they realized that it was a job that you could easily get fired for.
I was able to keep a couple core teams together for a couple years at differeny stores The bad part about every gamer wanting to work at GameStop is that they have a never ending supply of resumes. Too many crap AMs and DMs won't take time to REALLY train and teach new employee to learn to run the store, over just point and scan. If someone doesn't catch on .....🥾
I find it hard to believe that anyone who interacted with games stop in any capacity acted like this when hired.
“cAuSE tHatS nOrMAl” oh my god I hate when people unironically say that lmao but they got the mannerisms of people like this down so perfectly
Bro it's amazing how they are super over the top, and yet sooooo accurate to that kinda person.
Do you think this is how Kyle and Beck actually reacted when they got hired by SNL? I'd like to imagine that it is!
Yep this is totally normal we can just be on tv every Saturday on snl totally normal
i mean its honestly a lot less creative and more childish than their normal stuff. snl just cant write comedy for shit
There could not have been a better person to be an arcade mascot than Pete Davidson
you could tell it was him by his walk before he was even revealed to be Pete Davidson
They need to make a playlist for weird ass Kyle sketches so it's easier to find.
sounds like you found your calling, Randud....
If you build it, we will come!
I looked at his channel and he didn't do it. IT'S BEEN 3 FRIGGIN YEARS MAN, WHAT THE HELL
They really need their own show. Their stuff is way too niche for snl...
+Nihilist Porcupine You might already know about it, but search goodneighbor on youtube, it's their old YT channel. They don't upload on it anymore but there's some hilarious stuff on there
lorne is probably taking them after Andy samberg, whose digital shorts became more popular on the internet through UA-cam. he knows what he's doing, the only main difference is that sambergs shorts were aired on television lol
+Emily Castellon another key difference is that Andy's skits were funny.
I can totally tell that it’s Pete before he takes the Pogie head off. He has a very distinct walk.
lol everyone knows the teenagers that learned their personality from cartoons
A. Mikey B. Lots of children learn their personalities from Disney channel and it's so annoying
I think ab this comment a lot bc it perfectly articulates how I feel about so many people THANK YOU
It was a little spooky for me to watch this video. I actually knew a couple of guys who acted EXACTLY like these two.
Yeah me too. They usually play D and D and wear snow pants in their mid 20's.
I love Leslie in this sketch cause it sound like she has lost the will to live like most of the people at Chuck E. Cheese
Like pretty much any retail/food service employee with any aspirations who is over the age of 21, lol.
It depends. The employees at the Chuck E. Cheese near me are all very friendly and are always smiling. My kid loves that place
I love how Kyle and Beck's videos hone in on such a specific part of our culture. Especially the millennial generation but in a very non-obvious way I don't know how they do it but it is amazing
and how they manage to not make it cringe, yet be incredibly cringe at the same time!
I love it when kyle and beck do skits together
That’s oddly satisfying to give the one thousandth like to a comment. Watchin it go from “999” to “1k” Dude, THIS IS AWESOME!!!
This totally fits as a metaphor for Kyle and Beck's career on SNL as well.
They were friends and comedians together who both got hired at the same time at their dream job, a place that has influenced them since their childhoods. There, they met the people who they've idolized as icons, but who they now get to work with on a daily basis. Even Lorne Michaels could be interpreted as that owner at the end.
Tony Elevathingal they used to be on SNL in 2013. I'm glad they're back!
That guttural exhale at 1:41 is just the icing on the cake.
just imagine a world where EVERYONE is as excited as his daily job as these guys.... that would be something
Yes, if only everyone were this excited about their jobs. Unfortunately, others always seem to make it their job to discourage this - as demonstrated in this skit.
I'd imagine if jobs like this paid better wages/fair compensation for overtime/possibility to buy shares in the company and offered decent healthcare they would. Job satisfaction should not be the exclusive purview of people with prodigious student debt. (that is not to say that there aren't people with degrees in jobs they hate, certainly no shortage of that, but they also have more options) - every person putting in a fair day's work, no matter whether they're sweeping the street or managing a chemical plant, should be able to have a decent, baseline standard of living without killing themselves at multiple soul-crushing jobs and getting a scant few hours of sleep a night.
These Beckett/Mooney sketches are so corny but I always smile when I watch them. I don't think their aim is to get laughs as it is to realistically explore a fringe slice of life.
I knew kids like this in high school. they were a couple smart-asses and now I think they actually have dead-end jobs at Pogie pepperonis
Mitzi73 totally agree. It's very much geared towards a certain generation 😊 it's not as slapstick like a lot of classic SNL skits idk
Mitzi73 they have been making stuff together for years. Check out "Good Neighbor Stuff"
I knew that was Pete before he even took off his costume head.
Anthony Fonseca Yep he has a distinctive walk. Pete was strutting. :)
I love Leslie and Pete's reactions to Beck and Kyle being dorks.
so nice to see Leslie Jones doing something that's not shouting. FYI guys, you can write her to not be a shitty stereotype, we'd all appreciate it.
+Eoinster She writes most of her own stuff ... She was A writer on the show before she was A "main player"
I was just about to say the same! Thumbs up for not having LESLIE portraying the loud angry black chick !!
Yeah I like it but leslie jones is a good actor and needs to try new roles
I would be remiss to not mention how perfect Leslie is in this skit. She plays off Beck and Kyle's quirkiness with everyday apathy and weariness of an average low wage worker. Her expressions are priceless AND she is a great cast member contrary to UA-camrs.
Rick Deckard that’s because she lacks talent and is indeed that average low wage worker in everything but name
@@alexkillen4628 Hi, my name is Alex, I see myself as a acting critic, but really I am just a queef. 😂
Yeah I usually don't like her that much but she is very good in this sketch.
Beck and Kyle are geniuses at responding to various tv and cinema cliches. They're ahead of their time, and ahead of the SNL fanbase
Watching dudes like this and after watching a few of their skits on SNL it seems like they're in a totally different league from the other actors/writers these guys could easily be legends, especially kyle
FINALLY A KYLE AND BECK SKETCH. THANK YOU.
I know guys like this EXACTLY! 😆😂 the overly zealous nerds that get insane when, whatever they obsess over, becomes an experience
The way kyle inhales hard as his laugh is spot on. Everyone knows that guy, same hair too.
As someone who use to work at Chuck E Cheese this is pretty much 100% accurate.
Wait did the animatronics come to life at night? Also why does the pizza taste like cardboard?
Cardboard is a trademark flavor for CeC and we had to work with what we had. No machines came to life, they were pretty lazy I guess.
+Jelloz104 I love your videos :) & where do you work @ now or are you still un employed ?
+Danny Steeler I just work at a grocery store, I am applying to a steel workers union soon. What videos? I don't have that interesting of stuff on UA-cam, lol.
“This day can’t get any better” *furry appears*
OKAY! My very own Pogie shirt
'Cause that's normal.
does Cody pepperoni work at pogie pepperonis?
Flamingo Bill no, because he owns a pizza shop but when they showed the owner it wasnt him
doesn't get any better than weirdo conceptual comedy on national tv
Stupid fucking Bill Murray or Charlie Chaplin wouldn't do fantastic and realistic character studies on national telivison
I LOVE this sketch!! I love all of Kyle & Beck's sketches! They need their own random comedy show!
2:56 Pete: “Are you guys cool?”
“Yeah we’re cool”
Pete: “You don’t seem like it” 😂😂
The way he "one, two games tops" was fucking hilarious
Lmao when Pogie walks out and the beat drops!
they totally didnt know how else to end this sketch lmao
wow, the writing on this was... eerily accurate
Why is Reg and AC Santana literally like the most perfect names for them in this skit 😂😂
So heartfelt, one of my favorite SNL sketches ever!!!
They'll stop being so excited after they have to take the night security duty and the animatronic Pogie comes to life.
+Corey Watford Then they get stuffed inside of a suit and we never hear from them again.
"that's normal"
is so annoying lmao
You're just bitter because you got nothing in your life that makes you feel that way.
@@1manorgy You good bro? You're really going to get triggered over a youtube comment?
Kyle Mooney’s facial expressions are the cutest ever
Gosh I love Kyle and Beck its like having SpongeBob and Patrick Star together 😁😆
I caught a huge Wayne's World vibe from this skit.
Leslie's a MASTER at that Stare 😂❤
Kyle Mooney’s pursed facial expressions are so spot on with kids I knew that acted like this.
I definitely have had a few co-workers like this in my retail jobs before. Specifically Beck's character at my job at Lush, and at the library at my college. It was intense.
Until a week or two goes by and they (if they're sane) quickly realize that retail work sucks.
Guys. Don't bring frogs to my house.
this is so cute and wholesome 😂 i swear i didn't scream when it was revealed pete was in the mascot 😆
I don’t know why but I love this sketch, the “grow a guy sketch” and the “pumpkin F@$king” sketch. For some reason the weirdness always makes me laugh.
I went to last week's dress rehearsal and they did this on set- it works so much better as a pre tape. I loved the head exploding part!
DUUUUDE THIS IS AWESOME!
This is actually really sweet. Two buddies getting thier dream jobs together.
Everyday will be awesome for them
I can relate. Felt the same when I got a job at Six Flags over Texas.
I love Kyle and beck so much. They’re so funny and probably the most talented cast members currently on the show
This video definitely grew on me...gets funnier every time I watch it
the premise of this sketch is so niche but they somehow do it *so well*
1:06 that dude in the background’s face 😂😂😂
my two favorite people from SNL, legendary 😂
The way they talk realy reminds me of my former friend in high school
This skit is fantastic on so many levels! One of my favorite SNL skits!
A non-political sketch with Kyle Mooney in it that DIDN'T get cut? It's a miracle!
a kyle sketch that's not cut for time? who knew?
2:56 Pete’s “you don’t seem like it” with a cigarette in his mouth does it for me. Something about it reminds me of old school SNL humor, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase.
One of my favorite snl skits. Makes me smile every time lol
Kyle and Beck are boss mode
Lol, they worked there for 21 minutes...
Somehow I don’t know who I relate to most in this skit
1:59 I love how the kid totally ignores and walks right passed Beck, leaving him hanging 😅🤣😂
camera man on the far left. 3:15
We can imagine that maybe they are there to take a movie of a party or event!
Fun idea. Very funny.
I wonder if this is what Lorne says now to sketches that make it on the show.
Those two work so well together.
I love these guys and their skits, they need their own show.
"Ya don't seem like it."
Bill and ted mixed up with Wayne and Garth
J S not that this comment isn’t worthy of more likes, but please no one else like it.
seems like in the 90's, best friends used to look at each other and scream a lot. miss that.
I was gonna like this comment but it has 123 likes and I'm not changing that. So just take this comment as one.
J S uh no!!!!!! Bill and Ted were cool! Do not dare compare these guys to them! Have you no shame bro!?!
They did such a good job of creating this little world that I already anticipated the Pogie character coming into frame once that music started playing.
ac santano lmao
DUDE THIS IS AWESOME
They died awesomely happy! Can't ask for much more than that!
This is adorable.
Beck and Kyle work so well together I love them
I LOVE WHEN BECK AND KYLE DO SKITS TOGETHER
So, when am I gonna see a feature film with kyle and beck?
Skarrien Gentley they just finished making a movie called Brigsby Bear that should be out soon
2:11 OMFG that kids look
These 2 need a movie! They were amazing!
They are acting like a human SpongeBob and Patrick lmao
The REAL Delaney Is Live! Ikt
The REAL Delaney Is Live! OMG I was just going to comment that! Ha ha!
My freaking thoughts exactly!!! 🤣😆
hahaha that's so true!
Nice call!
