I love the way the forgemaster is like a conductor his head is nodding and he is doing a little dance.

Just for accuracy, the process of expanding or reducing pipe diameter for a joint is called swaging, pronounced sway-jing not swaging. I am a retired refrigeration mechanic of 30 years and used this process regularly when plumbing a system.

Yanks, don't you just love their stupid accents and the bastardising of the English language, ie: SODDERING when it should be SOLDERING, ALUMINUM to add another example.

Watching them make the connector piece, doing the first hammering, I wondered why they place a tool on top of the steel and hammer it.
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
Then it occurred to me that with the very strong inner structure of steel they need to 'soften up' the end of it so they can hammer it into the mushroom shape that they do next.
    .
And even WITH this 'softening' step see how hard it is to force the steel into the required shape!
