I held the tears in until they sang their song and when the slow piano version played at the end I couldn’t keep the tears in 😢 God bless Bobby and we love you Tommy ♥️
I remember in the early 90s i was a duo with my brother singing in the clubs around northeast of england , And we were filling up with petrol at a services at about 1 in the morning and out from the petrol station walked bobby , he looked a lot smaller then a thought seeing him in person, and me being a fan from being a child i got starstruck and didnt have the nerve to speak to him and say hello. I wish i said something to him now and told him i was a fan. Rest in peace bobby lad.
I worked with these two on the construction of Oldham Civic Hall way back and these two used to practice their act on the workers, I knew then one day they would make it to the top, they where so funny!
Being only 21, my only experience of Bobby Ball is from Not Going Out but this documentary had me in tears. What an incredibly funny man!! RIP Bobby Ball, you are sorely missed.
This'll do for me cocker...I watched this over Christmas with my wife and two kids. We laughed all the way through...I always loved Cannon & Ball but I looked over at the end and my whole family were in tears about Bobby... amazing man.
This was both a sad and happy celebration of Bobby’s life. I watched one of Tommy and Bobby’s television shows a while back when it just popped up on YT, and since then I have watched whatever else is available on this platform. Cannon & Ball where consummate entertainers for sure, but the attraction I think, was Bobby. A superb entertainer and actor in his own rite, he was, in his own definition, ‘not a comedian, but a very funny man’. Here in Australia, we don’t get a lot of British news, so I was shocked when a clip popped up on YT announcing his passing. I have watched, and re-watched everything I can of Cannon & ball, and Bobby never disappoints, no matter how many times I see him and Tommy together. R.I.P Bobby, and I hope you know that you made a lot of people very happy when you were here to entertain us.
Yes I first saw them at the rugby club in Oldham, Early 70s before they were famous, they were brilliant then, many years later I saw them on north Pier Blackpool, they'd come a long way since the rugby club, watersheddings amazing, brilliant......
What a !ovely tribute and so moving at the end. Bobby was one of a kind and irreplaceable, he's sadly missed. I was gutted when he died, he made my childhood a better place and all my family loved their show. Thanks for uploading this, really was a joy to remember a talented man.
Thankyou so much for posting this fantastic video! Bobby Ball was an absolute comedy genius! He was also a great actor, writer, musician and an all round superstar! Growing up I fondly remember watching Bobby on TV...and Tommy of course. Every week they were Saturday night prime time gold. It's so sad that he's not with us anymore...We have lost a phenomenal human being who entertained so many people for decades. He was one in a million and there will never be anyone else like him. Rest in peace Bobby, na night mate. You truly are missed very much...keep on rockin' up there ;-)
I have watched this video over n over again it's still brilliant r i p bobbyx even now when feeling d9wn watching Tommy n Bobby they still make me laugh and smile xxx
In 73/74 The Mrs came home from work at Osram Shaw Oldham with 2 tickets 50p each to see this act in a pub in aid of pat seed cancer charity fund. I went mad as we had no money. Tommy comes on saying his drummer hasn’t turned up Bobbys in the crowd saying I can play drums. It was jam packed and my face and stomach hurt with laughter We was struggling to breathe. I’ve never laughed like that since
They were a big part of my childhood. When Bobby passed away my husband didn’t want to wake me in the morning because he knew it would break my heart 😢 rest in peace top man x
I don't watch much television now so I honestly forgot how funny this lovely man was. I think everyone I knew as a kid growing up said "Rock on Tommy" Bless his wee cotton socks. (And His braces) R.I.P
So sad. RIP Bobby. Tommy, I hope you’re okay. Met you both once in Blackpool. Phone was so old the photo was far too blurry to make out so I sadly don’t have that any more for a memory. Two of the nicest, down to earth, genuine guys you could ever hope to meet. Mind yourself Tommy. ❤️
What a Fantastic Tribute To a very funny man who made millions laugh throughout the years, i was in tears during this tribute especially at the end R I P Bobby ,thoughts are with your family and Tommy
God bless you Bobby. Very funny guy and perfect dad for Lee in not going out. Gone but not forgotten. I was born 1977 so you was on our tele on a Saturday night and glad you was on my tele years after.❤
I use to look forward to sat nights. You knew you were in for a gud laugh no matter how ya week had gone they were on tele and you were gunna be cheered up. Thanks for that Bobby r.i.p. God bless.
I went to see them live on stage in 1987/8(?) and they were just superb. Honestly, one of the best acts I've ever seen. The sheer energy they had right from the first few seconds, which built and built, and that in turn created an energy from the audience - which they fed off. They were just fantastic. One of those times when you're laughing so hard it genuinely hurts. It's a great memory. RIP Bobby. Love you Tommy. Thanks for all those laughs.
Not much these days makes me proud of being from Oldham but these two always will, there have been quite a few celebs from Oldham over the years, but these two stand above the rest to me.
Those bits when they point out someone in the audience, I saw them live when I was a kid and they did that to me at one point. Something about Tommy said the audience didn't laugh at something Bobby said and he pointed at me on the front row and said "he did" a small but memorable moment.
I know Bobby ball was a person who believes in God like me to. Now after all the years I've enjoyed his entertainment from the early 80s I will look forward to seeing him soon when Jesus takes the church up.
comedian and comedy and actor Bobby ball has died he was funny and talent his comic partner Tommy cannon and said I'm heartbroken that's my comedy man he never left Cannon and ball for good his death was sad and tragic and emotional his death was confirmed on ITV News his death was COVID-19 he was tests has came back it was positive his catchphrase you little liar you pinching me Rock on Tommy you got me skin RIP Bobby ball not going out Lee Mack you are not alone I'm sorry comedian and comedy actor Eric carle who played Jack Barrow
I'm watching this late October 2023, and still can't believe he's gone! 😮💨
I held the tears in until they sang their song and when the slow piano version played at the end I couldn’t keep the tears in 😢 God bless Bobby and we love you Tommy ♥️
same :(
I cried my eyes out when the theme tune played at the end. It brought back so many great memories of my childhood. They were Saturday night.
