- De eerste meters met de tank rijden! - Vorige week hebben we de Type 69-II tank voor het eerst gestart, laten we nu alle systemen gaan testen! Gefeliciteerd met de eerste meters. Ik volg de renovatie van de tank al vanaf het moment dat jullie in Engeland bij een hoop roest stonden. Ik dacht dat jullie onverbeterlijke optimisten waren en had er zelf een hard hoofd in. Maar langzaam zagen we de tank tot leven komen en nu dan de eerste meters gereden. Door jullie mateloze enthousiasme en doorzettingsvermogen hebben jullie half Nederland in de ban gekregen. En ik denk dat iedereen die jullie volgt vervuld is met blijdschap en trots. Wat een prestatie !!! Jammer dat de lintjesregen dit jaar al geweest is, want jullie verdienen die ook. Proficiat.

That amount of oil exiting exhaust after a garage rebuild of a really rusty engine is worrying. Still these guys are scared of nothing they just go head first. Gotta love it
There's a few things you might not have caught if you're not a native Dutch speaker. They're currently using oil thats too thin which causes oil to get burnt (this engine doesnt have valve stem seals either). Then dirk found out that one of the fuel lines is getting way too hot, indicating that that cylinder isn't working properly. Because of this unburnt diesel gets thrown into the exhaust as well. They think it's a check valve and are probably fixing it tomorrow.

They found one cylinder is not working, they will fix that later.
One cylinder is not working (yet), the valve from the air starter is not working on one cylinder so bad compression, oil thats too thin, when they solve al those little problems, well it's going to run a whole lot better.

@@sebetletirsportif5717 They can't make subtitles for these video's themselves. It takes too much time. There are a bunch of volunteers who subtitle these video's so it can take a few days for them to catch up. The Mastermilo team only subtitles the main channel video's themselves.
Yes i agrée with You, it s à vert hard job but english are the Universal language to understand our friends. I Know the master milo chaîne but i like to look thèm long time to solve problem and do themselve somme parts

Teveel water drinken kan ook giftig zijn..... Dat uitlaatgassen niet gezond zijn wisten we al langer. Er zal nog wel het e.e.a. aan werk inzitten om het af te stellen, maar deze tank zal nooit aan de Euro-normeringen gaan voldoen wat betreft de uitstoot van stikstof.
@@MJingen Je kan ook nog plantaardige diesel gebruiken, die CO2 zat toch al in de lucht en in dus niet vervuilend zoals fossiele brandstof.

Ik ben een chauffeur in het leger van Leopard 2 en verwissel de rubberen schoenen aan de ketting de hele ochtend bij stationair draaien, de motor werd niet warm, de M113, ASCOD en andere voertuigen warmen normaal gesproken niet op bij stationair draaien. In de Leopard 2 is de transmissie automatisch, in de werkplaats om hem te verwarmen zetten ze een kap over de ventilatoren en als de temperatuur een beetje stijgt, versnellen ze het een beetje en vertragen ze, als de temperatuur stijgt, doen ze de maximale krachttest door erop te remmen , hoewel het een hydrodynamische en mechanische rem heeft die stapsgewijs werkt. Ik hoop je een idee te geven om de motor beter te controleren.
Als deze auto met koppelingen werkt, zal het moeilijker zijn om de juiste temperatuur te hebben zonder er een last op te leggen. Veel aanmoediging! Sommige soldaten uit Spanje volgen je werk.

59:35 - 59:55 - something was trickling/leaking out as you moved the tank forward, near the center in the rear, maybe oil.
At the start of the video milo said that he had spoken with a viewer with real fighting experience with this type of tank and he did not even mention the oil problem. This would be normal with 5W-40 oil? So with a thicker oil this phenomena would be less.. lets hope so!.. other idea that they discuss is to losen fuel line per cylinder to see if smoke production changes? But they doubt it then further plan is to tow tank outside, loosen tracks start motor without risk of the tank going through a wall or run of into the neighbors field of freshly planted peas! So then they can test the clutches. Then they think the earlier used exhaust pipes gave to much back pressure.. eventhough the box on the ground is the irakies made exhaust box with even smaller pipes...(later the mention that this system was flauwed ?design )
After the first start they discuss the smoke they are sure that fuelpump needs adjusting, needs to be earlier and dirk says motor will be more lively.. then milo says t69 on photo’s always have the last skirts fully blackened by exhaust fumes and this is maybe also typical russian? ... then they discuss moisture they think it is oil but also heavily mixed with unburned diesel. They turn the engine over to see which way the fuel pump turns.. to be able to make an earlier injection timing possible.. milo turns fan with transmission in free mode so dirk can set fuel pump 1 teeth further.. they discuss 2 teeth but they don’t want to have the engine backfire... even the heads could come off.. that would be catastrophic... they find a leaking fuel line and discuss how to fix it. After 1 teeth change motor doesn’t want to turn and smokes a lot.. they will go 1 teeth in the other direction.. after tracks are mounted they discover that one feed line for compressed airstart is very hot.. this air line has a checkvalve so after motor start pressure/exhaust will not go back into air feed pipe.. the checkvalve needs replacement.... small issues comments hydraulic pressure to high? Something with the clutch pedal. Oil level is fine after motor starts.. so fuel causes the smoke so this is reparable/fixable

Dit is heel knap gedaan . Als je de eerste video kijkt van het hoofd kanaal van de tank , die was op 7 september 2018 en het is vandaag 28 april (ongeveer 2 jaar later ) de tank chassis rijdt
Ze hadden pas (2-3 maanden terug) een story op Instagram dat ze hem een jaar aan het maken waren

A great day in any case. Just my advice but I'm sure the timing advance of the fuel injection is not correct; sure you need to give some degree more and it will turn better; question is this oil which seems to comes from everywhere smell fuel too? if the answer is yes, the advance is one of the coupable; you must also check again pressure injection on each cylinder, this can also cause a lot of smoke is the pressure is no good.

most of the smoke is most likely unburnt diesel, dirk found out about it by burning his hand on a place that shouldnt be hot. they did try adjusting the fuel timings but it only made the problem worse.

zo dichtbij, en nog zo ver weg... maar nu komt voor mij persoonlijk het leukste, al die kleine pproblemen achterhalen en oplossen. het grote plaatje is compleet, nu nog de puntjes op de i. heb er ontzettend veel zin in mannen! als hij echt gaat rijden dan willen de meeste van ons er zeker bij zijn! gewoon een boeren veldje omploegen!

Het roken van de motor zal als alles goed werkt een stuk minder zijn, heb net het filmpje gezien van de "T55 tank driving" gekeken dat was top weinig rook!
These tanks can create a dense smoke screen by injecting vaporized diesel fuel into the exhaust system, cant that be the reason for the excessive smoke?
Nah man the tank has a seperate system for that, they said in this video that one cylinder isn't working hence the smoke and diesel in the exhaust
Dirk probably found the problem by burning his hand on the fuel-line for 1 cylinder. Exhaust gases blow back into the line? A faulty check valve, so they think.
1 Cylinder does not run properly and fuel for that cylinder is being burned at places where it should not burn. Hence much of the smoke and black junk? The guys are optimistic about solving this tomorrow.

@@michiel1362 It smokes about right for the loose pistons it has :o) Anything else wouldn’t start at all. I have no idea why it’s design needs to burn so much oil?

Je kunt zien dat Milo flink last van zijn rug heeft. Milo doe jezelf en ons een plezier, ga naar de dokter als de pijn blijft! Als het erger wordt ben je zo een tijd uit de running en kun je er blijvend last van houden!
Geweldig om dit te zien. krijg nu zin om zelf zoiets te ondernemen maar dan wel een WW2 sherman ofzo en dan ook een uitbeelding erbij van bijvoorbeeld de 2nd armourd division

Jullie hadden in een van de aflevering toen jullie de motor gingen bouwrn gezegt dat de tankmotor eigenlijk eerst 12 uur moet lopen. Is het misschien een idee als hij nog blijft roken hem 6 uur te laten lopen ofzo.
Ik denk dat de portemonnee het niet zo grappig vind
Die tank rijdt het meest gunstige 2op1 2liter diesel op 1 km dus daar gaat dan een heleboel diesel door heen
Moet niks.
Soldaten deden het om zich te verzekeren dat er absoluut niks fout was met de motor, aangezien het ze fataal kon worden als ze hier op het veld achter zouden komen. Emiel heeft dit dodelijke probleem niet en zou het geen probleem vinden wanneer de tank ermee stopt

Yay it’s close now. You guys should wash the tank and clean up/out the shop. All that grinding dust and oils, fuels leaking are not good for your lungs. Take it from someone who now is hooked up to an oxygen machine because I thought my lungs were invulnerable too.
While they do take care of their hearing. Me having tinnitus for two years now. My new best friend that drives me insane.
