Henry, this was the best yet!!!! I wished that my hands would come back to before arthritis life or I could have met you and your gift of teaching many years ago. Again, you show your skill in teaching and I recommend your course, Super Simple Guitar, to all. jimmy (Arizona Ames).
Wow! Thank you, Henry! You make this stuff fun and informative! I now have a brand-new appreciation of one the gods of my youth. And a whole lot of guitar practice ahead of me.
The strat you are playing is a big headstock 👌very nice. How/where did you get that? Good lesson on a classic delta blues tune. The string-break is handled like a pro that Clapton is. I thought Clapton would have been handed a backup spare guitar during 2nd guitar solo.
If you choose to play major pentatonic during a 12-bar blues, you better make sure when you go to the sub-dominant and dominant chords you are playing over whatever chord your band is playing at that time or it's gonna clash ,right? Can you consider making a video about avoiding this disaster?
Hi Henry, Could you post the link for the "Mixing Major and Minor Pentatonic Scales"? You mentioned it towards the end of this video but i don't see it..... thanks Awesome video and Clapton is definitely all pro!
Henry, how about applying this lesson/reaction concept to the Eric Clapton / Robbie Robertson performance of 'Further On Up The Road' from The Band's 'Last Waltz' film? Might be a 2 or 3 part video because there is a lot there, but I think it is the definitive Clapton performance of that song, and Robbie Robertson's soloing is so different from Clapton's, but wonderfully tasteful, that I would love to see you doing a lesson on the video.
Very cool, Henry. You realize you are pulling me away from my work and forcing me to go to my man-cave to play along with this right? Bad, bad, Henry!!!
