The cult dug up the body and wrote the spells on the walls . The Demon was using the cult and the Graham family like Annie was using the miniatures in the doll house. The entire movie was about the Demon Paimon and his 'dolls' and ' doll house'.
When I finally got around to watching this it immediately became one of my all-time favorite horror movies. It is, well, "horrifying" in almost every conceivable way. So incredibly well researched with so many little details that are easy to overlook, especially if one is unfamiliar with the lore. Ari Aster is a master of the craft. I so hope he can keep it up and not become a parody of himself. SPOILERS FOR THE REACTION BELOW 11:30 OHHHHHHHH FUUUUUUUCK!!! ... yeah, lol (and we all heard your muffled laugh, Anita lol) 19:17 yeah, Toni Collette was AMAZING in this. So much so it's a crime she didn't win an Oscar for it. 36:36 too 23:16 not just jump scares but boderline jump-panics! lol 27:58 that smirking "face on [his] face" his mom mentioned in her dinner table rant 33:30 good call! Thanks for the hour of voyeuristic fun, Amin and Anita!
I remember watching this movie in a packed cinema. You could hear a pindrop when Charlie got decapitated. Those 2ish minutes of Peter sitting in the car, in total dread felt like 10. I was shocked when i watched the movie a second time and realized it was only 2 minutes.
Feels like you were both overthinking in hopes of cracking it or making it make sense. So you inflated things that weren’t there or complicated situations.
@@jaysverrisson1536 All the younger generations seem to do this, they try and predict what's going to happen. Alot of them are very impatient (but I don't think this couple is).
This got my head scratching. Remember Annie told Charlie she never cried even when she was a little baby. To me that can only mean one of 2 things: 1. Paimon possessed Charlie shortly after she was born. 2. Paimon possessed Charlie while she was still in the womb. Go figure that one out 😂
Great reaction to true tension horror. The sort of thing that lets your imagination do half the work, so makes it 1 million times worse A bit of geekdom here for you to help settle your mind. Paimon is from 14th century demonology. The lore regarding Paimon in this is nearly spot on. They have only made a couple of little changes. 1. Paimon is 1 of 9 Kings of Hell, not 8. They changed this to tie it in with a compass direction. 2. The beheading of sacrifices hasn't got anything to do with Paimons demonic lore. The reason it was included is from the original artwork of King Paimon from history (the pic in the film). You'll see 3 heads hanging from his belt. That is the ONLY thing that even hints towards that needing to be done. As well as to add a bit more ritual & some reason for the gore. & Feth me does it add some shocking brutality to the movie. But to cover a couple of the less than obvious things. The floating bodies IS part of Paimons lore. If you go back & pause on the page about him in the book you'll see that he is able to bend or break the laws of physics. So floating is no problem what so ever. Also making his followers super rich would be simple. Again he can bend/break the laws of physics. So hand him a block of wood & he could just change it to solid gold, as an example. Hope this helps add a bit of extra creepiness to a great horror. As well as helping everyone sleep a bit better. Have an amazing week & much love to everyone from here in the UK
THANK YOU for watching this great movie!, this and the conjuring are my favorite horror movies. other great horror movies and my favorites are "the texas chainsaw massacre 1973", and "terrifier 1, terrifier 2, and terrifier 3". NOTE!, these terrifier movies are great but are NON rated and for adults only (18+) as they contain extreme violence. if you can handle that please watch terrifier series. LOVE your channel!.
Loved the movie and loved loved loved the reaction! 😍💜 If you want more movies to watch in the dark together, I'd recommend 'Incantation' and 'The Sadness', both are non-English and both are in top-10 of the best horror-thriller movies of this decade! warning- if you react to The Sadness, more than half of the movie will need to be censored 😅
By the way this movie is ought to be cursed one where black and dark rituals and signs are being shown to you it can be those people part of illuminati
Hello, if you don’t mind, can you do a movie reaction on a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armand Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples. Directed by Ridley Scott.
The guy in this reaction should stop talking, at least his gf watches and take it in. Dude you don't need to rabble on endlessly. Her silent expressions said so much more than your endless words
39:25 that scream was HISTORICAL
LMAO
When Toni, the mom, goes off at the dinner table.. it almost feels like it’s my mom yelling at me. Good acting.

Agreed, they should stop trying so hard, dial back the chatter, and let the movie tell the story.
