Also? The constant 'sound' you talked about hearing throughout the movie? That's the sound of the presence of the demon. As is the light seen and the clucking sound is the audible noise that the demon makes.
The Demon's three head trophy: In Christianity you have the Father the son and the Holy ghost. Paimon's counter trinity is the virgin ( Charlie) the maiden ( Annie) and the crone ( Ellen) all of whom are ritually beheaded and whose skulls adorn the belt of the demon as he rides around in hell, atop his demonic camel, triumphant.
