I laughed out loud the first time I saw that part in the movie. It was a huge tense moment when he finally gets to say in a gruff, determined voice, "I'M INNOCENT!" Tommy: "I don't care!" 🤣
Sadly, but basically, this is the case. It is we must enjoy ourselves in some way, and if the stupid people in Hollywood aren't going to help, they're going to become the Butt of the Joke - type of situation.
I haven't paid to watch a movie for probably at least 7 years now. Hollywood going pc was crappy enough, woke garbage is the final death throes as they try to regain relevance.😂😂
it is getting tough to stomach at this point. There used to be more diverse opinions in Hollywood: once upon a time you'd find cutting edge progressive themed movies like Dog Day Afternoon but you'd also get more conservatively minded films like those where a religious character isn't some bible thumping madman, but now Hollywood treats anything that doesnt fit their narrow minded idea of what "progressive" is as if it's a fringe opinion. Stupid part is even most progressive people dont even really like what Hollywood has been doing since they contradict progressivism and do things like rewrite history and "rewrite history to fit a political narrative" is exactly the thing people criticized Hollywood conservatives for decades ago with things like Disney's Song of the South. When you try to pander to even the most politically biased people on the planet and even they call out your pandering you've pretty much failed and that's what we're seeing play out now. You'd think Hollywood would see and hear all these recent complaints, which arent just coming from racists, homophobes, trolls etc. but coming from unbiased people, even intellectuals and experts like the channel Metatron who has some history degrees has been criticizing Hollywoods woke obsession and pointing out how and why it's BS to have things like mixed race viking raiding parties in media or why that movie Woman King was total BS.
Imagine how bad all the box office sales figures would be if people had some spine and DIDN'T go see the latest trash that they know is just going to disappoint them. Disney would be bankrupt already.
The ironically sad thing is that the clip of her saying "i like making men uncomfortable" was actually about her documentary about exposing Pakistani men for assaulting women in the country, and it got taken out of context due to her being hired by Marvel... but the ironic aspect is that even considering it was out of context did not change the fact a documentary maker is the last person to hire to make superhero movies.
I'm sorry. I heard a lot of noises coming from the mouths of those people wearing feminine clothing, but I couldn't understand a word of it. What were they saying?
Ton each his own, but I wish we didn't boil everything down to culture "war" bullshit. Neither side is stunning and brave, both sides routinely pretend that they are. It's dumb that some people make diversity changes just for the sake of the clout, but it's also fine that not every movie is made for me, a white guy, and that what's-her-name's documentary did make me uncomfortable. It was about unpunished sexual assaults on women, I hope _everyone_ who saw it was uncomfortable, as anyone who wasn't is probably a monster.
Do you go sexually assaulting women? If not, it shouldn't have made you uncomfortable. She didn't qualify that though, did she. She said she loved making men feel uncomfortable. Not guilty men, just men.
@@johnhoran9840 Yeah I don't know why she was picked. The documentary I saw was pretty good, just gut wrenching, but I have no idea if making a good documentary translates into making a good sci-fantasy film. I suppose we will see. It can hardly be worse than Rise of Skywalker.

Even Last Jedi, though not what I wanted, isn't as bad as some of the hysterical, overly dramatic snowflakes pretend. It's not Manos The Hand of Fate level bad. That said, if you are suggesting *_I_* direct a film, I'm sure Rian Johnson is better than me. Hell, Uwe Boll is better than me. I'm no director. That I tell you that a given haircut is bad doesnt mean I'm a good barber.
