I really enjoy the colorized versions of these older films. Makes the past come alive!
I absolutely love watching these types of older movies, and this one was no exception. It brings the past to life.
“Not a chance baby” I like a story with a happy ending! Thank you 🙏
Not a bad little B feature. George Raft always turned in a good performance. Many thanks. England, Xmas, 2023.
Nice to watch a film without any obscene language etc
"Those days are gone forever", sad to say...
Well that was a terrific movie!
Good film. Raft was enjoyable. Sally Gray, fine actress, and quite beautiful
Well made and performed. George was as believable, as his character always is and his leading lady was again alluring.
Loved seeing the London Streets so clear. Love this channel ❤
I always enjoy the older films when men dressed like men. Now the regular dress around the country is a tee shirt and a pair of shorts and cheap tennis shoes! 😄 The cars are always great to see as well.
I Agree, Everwhere You Look At Our Present Time Is Nothing But Poorly Dressed People, Overweight And Lazy, It's A Shame Thid Country Has Sunk This Low
Its very hot here, what d'you 'pect!
That’s the reason I dig older films as well. In this one, George Raft’s overcoat looks great. It looks like a trench coat but definitely a tailor- made.
😊
Excellent story well made!
Thanks CCC for continuing to bring us good entertainment. 🎉
Our family watches a George Raft movie ever Friday night with popcorn and Mt. Dew.
The kids didnt get it in the beginning but now they invite their friends over.
❤interesting
Mt dew ?
@@fannylablanche9952 Mountain Dew: it's a citrus soda. Back in the day mountain dew was a slang term for moonshine - home made whiskey
was amazed to see that the London streets were so peaceful and uncrowded at that time... Even an officer could drive his car and pick up the bad guy. I enjoyed it very much, have a good night ✨♥️
I think that the streets were so peaceful because they were filming! It's pleasant to see
how life went in those days, remembering that the year was 1952 and that the war
ended just a few years earliar!
@@gilba56 Let us not forget that the entire country turned Socialist in 1945, courtesy of the brand-new Prime Minister Clement Attlee. Thus, "everybody had a job" and have had ever since...
not a palestinian protestor in sight
I kept waiting for Raft to say "play it again Sam" even tho it's a d'fferent film and actor!
So far so good. About half way through. Thank you
George : not good, Sally - OK.
What a class act the true police and detective story the acting is a true to life style a very special watch boy those cars make it special many thanks for this ,Gem ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you got into a city taxi and just said a street number and a road you would be asked which suburb.
But 18 Kingston Road is in SW7 1NF City of Westminster and Kingston House does exist at 1-32. It’s now called Kingston House South.
A penthouse was going for six point five million pounds there.
Not bad.
Fun movie. I like English ( British ) movies a lot especially those made just after the war.

Buuun!
Film de acțiune , mi- a plăcuuut !
Mulțumesc foarte mult !❤️
CURIOSO. BUUU!! EN CASTELLANO, SIGNIFICARÍA QUE NO TE GUSTÓ. 😀SALUDOS DESDE ESPAÑA. 🤗😉👍
George Raft was a great dancer in his day❤❤
Gracias. 😊.🇨🇱.
Nice!

The heart of London has no pedestrians! Cute.
Handsome George Raft! My Mom had such a thing for him back in the 30s and 40s. I can see why.
A classic indeed. Movies aren't made like this anymore. Different generation.
@@annesmith6582 No doubt.
Thanks for this amazing Movie 😎.
Enjoyed very much. Raft is always in such control. He's known for his "dead pan" monotone expressionless voice. Always dressed to the max and perfect posture. Interesting plot.
Because of that actor Georg Raft from the '30s,' 40s, ' 50s, I decided to watch.
An interesting world of the international intelligence network of those years, Architecture, cars, clothes, and the very game of actors.
It is worth seeing to break away from today's ugliness, stupidity and rudeness.
Keeps in suspense action and unexpected twists. Great action screen unforgettable language.
Classic of the genre: "Film-Noir".
A completely different world of film art on a level already unknown!!!
Film classic subtitle Persian very very good thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
IS THEIR GOOSE REALLY COOKED?
WILL BATMAN AND ROBIN STEW IN THEIR OWN JUICE???😊
Great! 😉
I had a crush on George Raft. He looked like my uncle. That deep voice of George's, wow😅
Perfect final George Raft quip. I miss his like.
Film classic very nice takes for you
I prefer it in black and white. Those colors that fly all over the place is not for me..but the movie itself is a good one.
Love your expression “fly all over the place”. So descriptive - and you’re right, they do.
Love that little Colt vest pocket pistol.
George Raft so if course it was a good one thanks again ccc
Enjoyable film, though, as an elderly balding man, I find the idea of an elderly balding man as a chick magnet quite absurd.
George Raft was a leading man for his entire career. Hollywood has presented mature leading men as chick magnets for years.
George Raft. Date of birth variously 1898 -1902. Approx early fifties. Not elderly. Hardly Gerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch. Aged 83
@@irenejohnston6802 George Raft himself said he was born in 1895. You can watch him on the Mike Douglas show when he comes hosted with Mike Douglas. It’s on UA-cam. I’ve watched it several times and Raft looked pretty good for 85 (the show was in 1980 and it was a few months before Raft’s death from leukemia).
Sally Gray was a very beautiful woman ,l and I suspect that her character here was the blueprint for Cathy Gale and Mrs Peel in the Avengers a decade and more afterwards - a strong independent woman with a mind of her own and capable of looking after herself.
Movie not bad and interesting to see a colorized version of it, but I'm assuming the people behind the colorizing must be young as when they colorized they also colorized some of the newspapers being shown in the movie. Color newspapers were not around during the time of this movie. Just saying.
I saw the other Lippert sequal to this one, "I'll Get You A Sandwich".
Song of the Volga Boat Men was a bit obvious as a musical theme in the background. Even though, it's still enjoyable to see this film once again.
Pretty darn good movie
A good story makes a good film.
we better get down there, but first i must put my hat on.
Cheesey end but not a bad movie, laying here with my broken leg
Thanks for showing colorized movie on this video
👍
I have always been puzzled at the casting of George Raft as a lady's man.
Bună dimineața și mulțumesc pt acest film, ❤
Annoying here the colorized photos in newspapers. I think that not till 90s
Phony fight scene! Old movie i guess! I still watched it!
Now I know why my mother was nervous when the Americans arrived!
George Raft to me was kinda like the flip side Humphrey Bogart,if you can’t afford a Cadillac get a Buick.🙂
nice job of colourizing
Bom filme 😎 com bastante 👍 conteúdo !
@CCC Thanks for showing colorized & black/white......
Thanks! Yea, we always put the link to the other version in the description box 😉
Colorizing Film Noir seems absurd.
When 'Chalk' was GPS.
Shame it was in colour
Always, people who don't want to be seen meet in public places. 😊
Very smooth actor George , a Raft on the water !. What happened to him ?. Ala Frank Sinatra. 😮😢😂 Thanks playmates. Dave
He lived to be in his seventies and died of lukeimia and is buried in Forest Lawn with many other Hollywood stars.
Not a chance baby lol. Budget for clothing is very low in these old films
grand put up a good fight
Y A W N. My little brother could have beat him in that first fight. Lol😊
YAWN George Raft boxed professionally back in the day when he was a young man. They said if he threw a punch you weren’t getting back up.
Good movie. Not great, but good.
I had hoped George might have learned to act by this stage in his career but no, He is just a talking prop still.
Yet another movie where all the actors have Yellow Jaundice.
Won't be long I guess before somebody slaughters Citizen Kane.
Like how the car kept turning purple 😂😂
sure is an empty city.. no one on the streets.. no cars but the main chatactor's.. at least it's easy to get around
There were no color newspapers in 1952... Colouring is OK if done intelligently.
Wow George Raft in color.
First rate post-war spy thriller.
Really enjoyed the film, thankyou for the posting. Massive fan of Sally Gray but George Raft - meh
Skin tones like they too near atom bomb test
Great movie but George was always so stiff and forced to me. I do know these are the kind of roles he wasn’t getting late in his career and he complained loudly. I wonder if that’s why this British production might have appealed to him. Sally was stunning but George was as always, stiff and not that believable. Perhaps that’s why Hollywood kept him in that gangster box he grew to resent. Still, good movie but I do prefer B&W over the colorization. But if it gets people watching the classics then so be it.
😮
HORRORS!! ONE LEMON!!DOUBLE HORRORS!! DOUBLE HORRORS!! TWO LEMONS!!🎉
He childhood friend bugsy siegle.
He turned down parts that made boĝàrt à star.
A little overdone on the colorization for me!
I enjoyed the film although George Raft was passed his sell by date also seeing the bomb sites in London reminded me of my childhood in Birmingham were Bomb sites were ou childhood playgrounds.
👍👍👍👍👍
Stoli on the rocks
👍
V strange pairing of Sally Gray (v English actor at the beginning of her career & George Raft (US actor of umpteen gangster films, nearing the end of his). Does it work?
Hardly the beginning of Sally Gray's career! Her first film was The School for Scandal' in 1930, 'Escape Route' was her last.
Rossi escaped on a fast motorcycle
gonna be a baby made tonight
Hmmm, who better actor, George Raft or Steven Seagal ? 🥺💩☻
Seagull isn't an actor. He is a professional buffet eater.
@@michaelregan3914:
Steven Seagal: "I'm just a cook." Under Siege, 1992. ☮🔦✝
I'm sick of hearing about immigration .Such concern over one man in a country? We've got 10 million illegals into the States, and nothing is done. I still think the world was safer then than now. That's why I love old movies, to reminisce of another time.
George Raft is so wooden and affected. I do not see what you others are seeing. It seems like terrible acting to me, flat and forced.
What a TURKEY. George Raft ran the gamut of emotions from A to B.
