In an effort to boost the economy, government officials have commissioned a study the details required to build a road from California to Hawaii. The governors of both Hawaii and California are cautiously optimistic with the possibilities. California’s Governator Newsom said, “Hear me now and listen to me later, this bridge to Hawaii is not as far fetched as some might think. We welcome this bridge to the Aloha State and will work to make it a reality.” With the thoughts of bolstering Hawaii’s tourism, Hawaii’s Governor Green stated that, “This bridge may seem like a dream to most, but we in Hawaii look forward to a two way street to both welcome visitors and provide more affordable ways for our residents to travel to the mainland.” Early estimates for the road to Hawaii indicate that the conduit could be in place as quickly as 2030. The commissioned study has many logistics to work through and funding is likely to become an issue, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that this wish becomes a reality.
H-3 was the most expensive Interstate Highway ever built on a cost-per-mile basis. Its final cost was $1.3 billion of its time. However, Project Big Dig cost $8.08 billion, $21.5 billion adjusted for inflation, a cost overrun of about 190%.
Now I REALLY want to go to Hawaii! That panoramic view after the first tunnel is a sight to behold!
It’s like something you’d see in a 80s theme video game if outrun were made in 2024 or something
I want to drive that highway someday. The view after you exit the first tunnel is breathtaking.
Also Hawaii doesn’t have any toll roads 👍
13:07 Why is there a Texas Licens Plate? How often do ships containing cars the the mainland US go to Hawaii
Military folks most likely
I wish there was a way to connect the Interstate Highways on the Mainland to Hawaii
That would be one LONG bridge connecting I-110 to H3.
boi do you not realize that would take at least like 10 gas stops to make it across half the pacific

How would such a bridge even be feasible, though? It's what, a couple thousand miles one way from CA to HI?
Fun fact: this is the most expensive interstate Highway.
Ohh , they say it's curse and it's road to nowhere .I believe that for a second
@@thinkingop5444 it connects to Hawaii Marine Core Base, and the towns of Kaneohe and Kailua. Not exactly nowhere.

Your camera doesn't do that drive justice.
I agree with that. There are some drives that have to be seen in-person to believe, and this is one of them.
Dude, you can work for google maps, and update roads! Your amazing at this job! (Plus I commented on your old channel for NY I-890)

Awesome, thanks!
Not to be rude but why is the audio so poppy and crackly?
It's because of the camera he's using. He's using a Kodak ZX1.
You moved to Hawaii then you moved back to Hawaii again in June.
