I'm glad you covered H3. When I was stationed in Hawaii, it was my favorite drive. Can't wait to see what you have in store now that the two-digit interstates are done!
Alaska also has interstates (A1 through A4), but unlike Hawaii, they're signed as state highways, and most of the mileage is two lane roads. They do include freeway sections in Anchorage and Fairbanks, though.
Maybe a video the Kentucky Parkways or the Oklahoma Turnpikes could be coming next? At least the ones not currently assimilated into the interstate system. Also, maybe a video on US 287 in Colorado? You know where that one goes, right?
That sounds cool, however, for a good portion of these routes, they aren't expressways and are surface roads, so that would be hard to do. But they sound like good future videos!
What a beautiful road!!! The mountains that this road passes through look kind of like if you took the green foliage of the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia and you placed it all on the Rocky Mountains in Colorado to produce this beautiful, one-of-a-kind scenery. Awesome video Todd!!! Congrats on finishing all of the 2 digit interstates in America!!! :) 👍
@@driveCore That's cool. I live in Louisiana and I love both the beach and mountains. My mom and I just got back from a trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas in the mountains. @@dvferyance Yes, Arkansas has the Ouachita and Ozark Mountains. The Ouachitas are in the western part of the state, and the Ozarks are in the north. The former extends into eastern Oklahoma, and the latter extends north into Missouri and the extreme southeast of Kansas.

Fantastic job finishing all the mainline interstates! I've been following your channel since you were at I-65 and have loved every video you've put out, can't wait to see where it goes from here!
I hope you cover the unofficial Alaska interstate system next, as well as Alaska's highways. I also think it would be cool if there was video where viewers submit bad control city signs, then you rank them for how bad it is.
Can't wait for the 3 digit interstates, especially 235 in Iowa since I live in Des Moines. Such a beautifully designed road. Also can't wait for US 52, as it goes through Dubuque IA, and Charleston SC, my two other favorite cities.
Now all that's left for interstates (aside from significant three-digit interstates like I-196 and I-476) is Alaska and Puerto Rico. Be interesting to see those ones
I like these interstate highways so much and I am congratulations on finishing all of the two digit interstate highways on I 42 of course I will see you next week with the gimmick video.
Congrats on completing the two digit interstates. Please don't forget to cover the Puerto Rico interstates. Though they may not be signed PR1, PR2, and PR3, they are federal interstate highways. PR1 goes from San Juan to Ponce (PON-say) straight over the mountains. PR2 loops around the island connecting San Juan and Ponce via Arecibo, Aguadilla (Agua DEE Jah), Mayagüez, and Guanica. PR1 and PR2 form a loop. PR3 is a tollway that goes from Fajardo to Salinas where it meets PR1. Plans are to complete the loop on the northern side to San Juan.
You should do the long auxiliary interstates and US highways and long state roads that are mostly freeways. If you're doing international highways, you could start with Ontario 401 and work your way through the Canadian freeways.
H3 was built on on viaduct all the way from Aiea to the tunnel to minimize impact on archaeological resources in Halawa Valley. Until H3 was built, Halawa Valley had almost no road access. There is a little road below the viaduct, but only HDOT people can use it. ("Halawa" = HAH-LAW-VAH)
If you're gonna get weird, we should talk about the (never going to happen) I-72 extension in MO, Avenue of the Saints and the one that can't be an interstate because tractors: Des Moines's outer beltway.
Will you do 287 NY/NJ NYSTA side Southbound uses White Plains Tappan Zee Bridge up to Suffern where it becomes Morristown at Morristown Somerville Bedminster Perth Amboy the Bordertown opposite of Staten Island. Northbound Morristown White Plains NYSTA Section Tappan Zee Bridge White Plains New York City Southbound White Plains Tappan Zee Bridge Morristown New Brunswick Staten Island
I hope you'll cover the Avenue of the Saints between St. Paul, MN and St. Louis, MO. It is one of the most baffling roads I've ever driven, filled with bizarre choices that extend far, FAR beyond the control cities, which are uniformly terrible. Minnesota doesn't even sign it and when it branches off I-35 in northern Iowa, it's only signed for the next town. But that's just scratching the surface. It must be seen to be believed.
I think since you're done with all the mainline interstates, and if you do not have any particular ideas for what to do next, I think you can use the Super Stickers as a way for people to request highways, whether if you redo the older interstate videos, or cover major spur routes (I-476 in PA, I-287 in NY/NJ, etc.), turnpikes, or parkways. I think that'll be cool, especially since you've done the 405 back in the day. Nonetheless, enjoy your break if you take one! I'm sure you've done a lot of looking through a lot of signage, hoping that you do not come across a Limon anywhere.

Hi Todd... A few months ago, you mentioned something about redoing some of the very early videos (I-5, I-10, etc.). Any chance that you may do that in the next few months?
I look forward to seeing what you put out going forward, as this should by no means be the end of the journey you’ve undertaken of exploring the States. I was absent for the past two videos because I was doing a road trip along the Trans Canada Highway, covering everything along the main route in both directions except the end segments involving ferries (Vancouver Island and Newfoundland). In a later comment, I’ll share my opinions on how the Provinces did with controls.
Yo Todd, I went on I 99 recently, and gotta say, it was probably one of the most Beautiful Roads I've ever been on in my life. But, I can see why it's useless.
I think U.S. 191 is definitely one he should do, especially considering it serves Yellowstone and the national parks in Utah, is a major north-south thoroughfare that traverses the length of Arizona and goes border to border, is a route along the Continental Divide, and features a lot of good scenery.
@@ControlCityFreak That’s nice. I already did half of 64, completed 72, 158, and 401. I’m in the middle of working on the other half of US 64. I plan on doing 6, 13, 15, 17, 20, 24, 30, 52, 58, 166, 220, 264, 266, 421, 491, 501, 522, 601, 701, etc.

As for Revelstoke and Golden, I’d prefer to skip both, considering Salmon Arm is by far the biggest community in Columbia-Shuswap (1/3 the population), and go straight to Banff National Park. It isn’t a city, but it easily has enough name recognition to be a control. ALBERTA: GOLDEN-BANFF-CALGARY-MEDICINE HAT-SWIFT CURRENT; misses Canmore just east of Banff, as well as Strathmore and Brooks east of Calgary (plus I don’t like Golden), but everything else is perfect. Saskatchewan: MEDICINE HAT-SWIFT CURRENT-MOOSE JAW-REGINA-WINNIPEG; again, nearly perfect, but Brandon should be the primary control going into Manitoba. Manitoba: REGINA-BRANDON-WINNIPEG-KENORA; skips a major crossroads in Portage la Prairie (admitted more important westbound), but otherwise perfect. Ontario: WINNIPEG-KENORA-THUNDER BAY-SAULT STE MARIE-SUDBURY-NORTH BAY-PETAWAWA*-PEMBROKE*-OTTAWA-MONTREAL; the two Renfrew County cities are only signed westbound, but due to how expansive the TCH is in Ontario, it is the most minor quibble: easily the best signed Province. Even Kenora, as it is apparently a year round tourist destination; I had a snafu where I made a reservation at a hotel in Kenora (one of my rest stops), and got a confirmation email, when no vacancies were available at said hotel. Thankfully, the staff were able to get me into another hotel in town, but that check in was kind of rocky, as they claimed the only vacancy at this property, and they needed to confirm it was made on my behalf. Quebec: OTTAWA-MONTREAL-QUEBEC CITY-RIVIÈRE DU LOUP-NB; both directions skip Saint-Hyacinthe and Drummondville, but my biggest complaint is the signing of only NB once on the A85. Edmundston is just across the border! It’s even more egregious since Ottawa is signed instead of Ontario, thus inconsistent. East of here, however, is where things get provincial. New Brunswick: QUEBEC-EDMUNDSTON-FREDERICTON-MONCTON-SACKVILLE-NOVA SCOTIA; most of the choices within New Brunswick are perfect. However, Sackville isn’t good at all, and outside of the routes leading to Maine, New Brunswick doesn’t sign any cities not in New Brunswick (even then, the Maine cities are the ones just inside the U.S.) Nova Scotia: NEW BRUNSWICK-AMHERST-TRURO-NEW GLASGOW-CANSO CAUSEWAY/CAPE BRETON-NORTH SYDNEY/FERRY TO NFLD; again, pretty provincial. Moncton is the obvious choice leaving Nova Scotia, but no communities outside of NS apparently exist. I am, however, more understanding of Canso Causeway/Cape Breton. The same goes for North Sydney/Ferry to NFLD, but apparently, since 1995, all the communities at the northeast part of the island are now a single municipality occupying 75% of the island’s population. As such, I’d prefer the control before the ferry be signed as Cape Breton, with Cape Breton Island being used to refer to the entire island.
How I think it should be: Vancouver, Abbotsford, Kamloops, Banff, Calgary, Medicine Hat/Regina, Swift Current/Regina, Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Saulte Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax
@mxderate I see where you’re going with the omissions of some of the Census Areas. However, I think some fine tuning should be taken into consideration because there’s not a single province where the entirety of the route is a full fledged freeway. New Brunswick comes the closest, but there are at-grade railroad crossings in Moncton, the biggest city. Quebec is the next best, but even with the ongoing roadwork on A85 (the only portion with non-freeway segments left), there’s still several carriageway changes, including the one in Rivière du Loup, which makes it very important. One reason why I’m very intrigued with seeing Todd do lesser highways (U.S. Routes) is seeing how his control city standards shift, which will be necessary: for example, I live near the Loneliest Highway in America, and there NEED to be more controls between the metros of Carson City and Provo. Fallon alone is NOT going to be sufficient.

Vancouver, Abbotsford, Kamloops, Banff, Calgary, Medicine Hat/Regina, Swift Current/Regina, Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Saulte Ste.
