    Can I freeze the bottom of the asparagus that will be for soups? If so do I thaw it or cook it first before making soup

    you throw away a lot of money and great asparagus when you break off the bottom, just cut a guarter inch off the bottom and peel the lower couple inches with your potato peeler and enjoy all of your investment
