My favorite is still the Muppet Christmas Carol version. It looks like it's the first version to use CGI. Although it is interesting to see how the special effects have changed through the years.
My favorite is 1951 with Alistair Sims.My favorite animated is 2009 with Jim Carry. The first one I could remember was the animated one in 1971 version. It would always come on Thanksgiving day because as a child, I'd watch it at my grandma's house. Great video!
My all time favourite version of Scrooge/A Christmas Carol was the 1951 film starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge. A lot of fine performances in that movie adaption of Charles Dickens' Christmas classic.
Ooh, the tear in the 2019 one was a nice touch. But Muppets wins ALWAYS AND FOREVER (though 1914 Scrooge is 100% my mental image, I think!) Thanks for sharing this!
I choose Albert Finney, Mr. Magoo and the Mickey Mouse version and the Muppet version with Michael Caine as well. Because those are the Muppet Christmas carols movies I grew up watching all the time when I was a kid.
I don't know if it's my personal favourite, but I think it's certainly one of the best. It takes the source material seriously, not like a childish cartoon and I think it's the only one where Tiny Tim looks genuinely sick. Also think David Warner is probably the best Bob Cratchit. Thanks for the comment.
I know it's technically not A Christmas Carol, but the doorknocker scene from "The stingiest man in town", hoo boy. Just thinking about it scares the shit out of me. XD

My favourite part of the Nutcracker. :)

Out of curiosity, which Callow? He's certainly the most knowledgeable Dickens actor to play Scrooge.
May I ask, why wasn't 1978's "The Stingiest Man in Town" included in this montage?
For my money, that's one of the scariest Marleys ever! 👀
Because there's 100's of adaptations and I didn''t have a copy of each one. Sorry to disappoint.
