Other UA-camrs have staff, a flash office and production teams, all adding to the price they need to charge. PP has only what he needs plus integrity. I know who I’d deal with! All the best

That's a cool business, Peter. I've been having an absolute gas learning watch service & restoration as a hobby, and I'm just wrapping up my first full service of a movement (ETA 2790-1: 4 Hz w/ central seconds, day & date). I put a new bracelet on the watch, and pressed in a new sapphire crystal (w/ AR), and now I'm _really_ addicted, because it's so satisfying to transform a watch like that without compromising its original identity (case, dial, and hands). Still lots to learn, but I'm soon going to start looking for good deals on watches that may need a little love. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. 👍

On the money on the date change, +/- 10 mins might br true for other watches, but Rolex date change has been ahead of the game for years, to the minute or it's wrong. It's refreshing to hear a watch salesman who knows wtf he's talking about.
heavily agree pretty straight forward calendar works, almost impossible to mess up but hey I've seen it all at this point.

G'day Peter as you would know they ship watches separately even if coming from the same sellers office to decrease potential losses if the package is lost stolen. Best off only having one watch, than two or three watches in the box that is lost.

2:30 I just bought a new Explorer 2 from an AD and it does change the date at 12:00 when you're setting the time, but when it's running normally, it changes anywhere between 12:03-12:06... People on reddit are saying their watch does the same..
Yes that is fine.. my point in this was as follows:
Someone purchased a watch elsewhere - then came to me since they wouldn’t help him with the problem.
Running horribly - date didn’t flip until 12:35
They told him that’s normal 😂 that is not
A little after 12 date change is fine, hands can be reset to make it perfect

I have a sub and an explorer 2. Both bought brand new from the AD and the date doesnt change until about 1205.
That’s expected, I’ve seen a lot of watches brand new that do this. I’m blaming the hands were set incorrectly 🤣 DO NOT bring it to RSC and wait 6 months to have it fixed just enjoy it
