Arena doesn't have problems with amount of cards in hand, the lag is somehow tied to World Trees. Somehow World Trees are fighting how Arena is calculating what you can do with mana and lag the game. The more World Trees you have the worse the game gets.

Timeless Lotus and Teferi were surprisingly good at supporting the Door wins. In regards to Freyalise, I don't think it really fits what Legacy elves wants to do since that deck is really focused on Natural Order and wants to play a ton of 1-mana elves for Glimpse of Nature. Modern Elves I could see using Freyalise, though.
So is Amulet of Vigor not int he format Saffron plays? I feel like that would be great with the Lotus & Door although you can't double-tap Lotus like you could with Teferi but fast lands and artifacts sounds fantastic.
As for the lag, from what I have heard, having more than 2 World Tree lands in play can cause a lot of lag. I think because each one is giving all your lands the "tap for any color" ability.
In the first game you can see that Seth wanted to draw an untapped white source off the rev x6 and was concerned about losing to a muxus for lethal without having access to fateful absence, so he played a tapped land, forgetting that it was his 6th land, enabling world tree's mana fixing.

In match 4, you don't need to worry about them turning on Hall of the Storm Giants. If you've already targeted it, making it a creature won't suddenly trigger ward. By that point it's too late.
I've been playing around with Door to Nothingness. Currently, I'm trying to work out using Jegantha (Along with Karn, Chromatic Orrery and Paradox Engine).
Try this deck on for size: Drannith Magistrate X2 Greater Auramancy X2 Ossification X2 Strict Proctor X2 Destiny Spinner X2 Damping Sphere X4 (can be replaced with anything else, it's just nice to have on opening draw if you don't have rule of law) Minimus Containment X2 Phyrexian Unlife X2 Solemnity X2 Rule of Law X2 Ground Seal X2 Linvala, Keeper of Silence X1 Shalai, Voice of Plenty X2 Defense of the Heart X2 (or without damping sphere X3 or 4 as it is an important card) Cosmos Elixir X2 The Immortal Sun X1 Approach of the Second Sun X2 (if all else fails, it's a back up plan) Avacyn, Angel of Hope X1 Mana base can be anything, but you can use 4 Lotus field thanks to strict proctor. Main idea of this deck is to prevent your opponent from being able to do literally anything. Main weaknesses of the deck are sacrifice and exile cards. You can add something to give Shalai hexproof so she can't be targeted by any removal as well, but I like to have her exposed to at least give my opponent a chance. The deck is kind of slow as well, but all around when you start putting cards down, especially when you get Avacyn, Shalai, and Greater Auramancy onto the field, your opponent is going to scopp 9/10. This deck is especially effective against tribal/aggresive decks/removal heavy decks. Approach of the second sun is a nice alternative win condition if all else fails.
"To support the Belcher plan, you do need to have all MDFCs"... This isn't technically true, but the Mana Severance → Belcher line doesn't work nearly as well. :p (I would actually love to see a Boros Belcher deck for Against the Odds at some point, using Endless Horizons to exile all of the Plains in your library before the kill.)

16:43 they needed to attack with the goblin to get the treasure but could only cast the belcher on Chandra activation - it's not 'may cast until end of turn'
They could have still cast it, swung in with the goblin for the treasure, and then activated it. As much as it might feel like it sometimes, you don't have to pay all 7 mana at once. :p
Re: paper Freyalise: Garth one-eye creates copies of cards like Shivan Dragon, so I don't know why you couldn't have a paper planeswalker that makes a copy of a creature card that becomes a token.
My favorite Door deck is the deck that gives the opponent the door, and then forces them to willingly use the door on themselves, resetting the boardstate if they don't choose right. It's so evil.
I got a game in, just now. It was a little laggy, though. Also, does anyone know if MMR carries into mythic? I hit a lucky streak and got to top 100, but keep getting paired with plat/diamond players.
38:19 That's not correct. Ward works differently than hexproof because it's a trigger on target rather than making target invalid. So turning on the Hall after it gets targeted by Boseiju wouldn't create a counter-unless-you-pay trigger.
I need to see you tackle Arcane Bombardment SaffronOlive I love that enchantment and I got UR deck built around it and effects like it, but I would love to see a more pro player tackle it.

Seth during spoiler season : "I feel like this card requires too much setup to ever be really good"
Seth during against the odds: "we only need to set up these 4 cards that each cost 5+ mana and for our opponent to not have any interactions across these 3 different card types and it's an easy win."
This would be a fun historic match vs Maze’s end. Both ramp and want to rush to 10 lands and then just win.
Seth out here literally sending fools to the shadow realm
I use Myr's with Door to Nothingness. I call it 'Myr to Nothingness'. I love my artifact deck.
I've been playing this with Ramos in brawl. Been so much fun
38:19 Ward triggers when a permanent becomes targeted, so if a permanent gains ward after it's been targeted, ward won't trigger.
So, to explain, cards that were NERFED for ALCHEMY revert back to normal after rotation. Any BUFFS, no matter what, stay.
Its criminal that Hodor wasnt the thumbnail
MY FAVORITE CARD IS BACK BABY!
Re: paper Freyalise: Garth one-eye creates copies of cards like Shivan Dragon, so I don't know why you couldn't have a paper planeswalker that makes a copy of a creature card that becomes a token.
This was the first single I ever bought. I thought it was the most OP card ever. Turns out I was right
My favorite Door deck is the deck that gives the opponent the door, and then forces them to willingly use the door on themselves, resetting the boardstate if they don't choose right.
It's so evil.
This is the sort of Magic I want to watch
Why Prismatic omen or Upwelling aren't there?
Wish I could play arena
What happened to it? I tried to play earlier but it didn’t let me enter matchmaking.
I got a game in, just now.
It was a little laggy, though.
Also, does anyone know if MMR carries into mythic?
I hit a lucky streak and got to top 100, but keep getting paired with plat/diamond players.
@@brushwagg7735 mmr is always there
@@dylanchannell2531 if I run as administrator it works, if I run it normally it just gets stuck on the loading screen
In today's against the odds, can bant control avoid winning with manlands?
Its got elements of bant control, but its more than just control: its got that ramp package, and that really changes how the deck is played.
Seth turned into Hodor against Phoenix in match 4 "hold the door"
I build a Door deck around defenders using Axebane Guardians. Cheap walls(Fog bank is surprisingly OP) then clone Axebane a few times. Soo much mana.
Can you play Door to nothing less again in modern in 2024?
This was a fun deck!
I know I'm late to this video but I'm always shocked that Seth doesn't have the Yargle Explore variant lol
What about amulet of vigor? Is that not legal in historic?
wow I wasn't ready for The Fugs in a Magic video
